The Health and Human Services (HHS) Department released a report detailing damaging information about the use of “gender-affirming care” on minors suffering from gender dysphoria.[…]

The risks of using these treatments on children “include impaired bone mineral accrual, disrupted neurocognitive development, and the interruption of reproductive maturation,” according to HHS.

Hormone treatments also carry great risk. “In females, testosterone can cause irreversible deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement, and changes to sexual function,” the report notes. “In males, estrogen use has been associated with thromboembolic events and metabolic disturbances.”

The authors further explain that “There are no long-term studies tracking cardiovascular or cancer risk among individuals who began hormone treatment in adolescence,” which means these treatments could contribute to other maladies as time goes on.

This is exactly how Medicare got started, with the state footing the bill for some expenses and insurance which gradually morphed into a complete prohibition on any private payments. How long will it be before cash strapped governments throttle payments to dentists, resulting in people being unable to find a dentist at all? Probably not that long.

Has the problem of unpaid student loans been allowed to fester so long that people have actually forgotten how much money they owe? Apparently it has.

While many outside experts have acknowledged that the collections process needed to resume at some point, they’ve warned that recent upheaval within the Education Department and student lending program could end up creating new problems for borrowers, many of whom may not realize they still owe their debts after years of not having to pay them.

There are currently more than 5 million borrowers with loans in default, who will be immediately affected by the restart. Millions more Americans are expected to fall deeply past due on their student debts in the coming months, with a large bulge in the fall.

One of the greatest evils of my 90s childhood was the sedation and casual drugging of young boys for acting like boys in a school system built for little girls.

And it’s only now that we’re finally allowed to ask questions. Decades too late.

My father (the last of the old-fashioned family docs) used to say if you want to remain healthy, stay as far away from the hospital as you possibly can.

The same maxim could be said for children: you want healthy kids, keep them far away from grand medical experiments, especially when it relates to their developing minds.

Saskatchewan’s privacy watchdog has ruled Regina Public Schools (RPS) improperly withheld records related to gender identity and LGBTQ education while responding to a parent’s request, ordering the division to disclose dozens of documents within 30 days.

In a 73-page report, Saskatchewan’s Privacy Commissioner Ronald Kruzeniski found RPS failed to prove it was legally justified in redacting or blocking access to communications about topics like pronoun use, parental consent, and LGBTQ-focused events such as Rainbow Week of Action.

The report comes from a June 2024 request by a parent seeking all records mentioning themselves, their four children, and keywords including “LGBTQ,” “gender,” “parental rights,” and “pronouns” across emails, social media, and educational apps.

The parent also sought details about staff accessing their children’s files.

An LGBT activist teacher in Colorado and her trans-identifying male husband are housing a 17-year-old girl who identifies as a boy. Police say they are unable to intervene to bring the teen home to her mother.

JoAnn Smotherman, a former math teacher at Durango High School, took the teen, one of her students, into her Durango home in December when the girl left home after a fight with her mother. JoAnn is married to Vivian Smotherman, a trans-identifying man who ran for Colorado State Senate as a Democrat last year.

The teen’s mother, Cynthia Stein, has gone to the Smothermans’ home and attempted, unsuccessfully, to take back her daughter. She called in the police, but the officers who responded to the scene said they would not force the teen to go home, according to the police report and body cam footage of the incident obtained by The Daily Wire.

Last month, I received a tip from a nursing student at University of Alberta who’d been required to take a course called Indigenous Health in Canada. It’s a “worthwhile subject,” my correspondent (correctly) noted, “but it won’t surprise you to learn [that the course consists of] four months of self-flagellation led by a white woman. One of our assignments, worth 30 percent, is a land acknowledgement, and instructions include to ‘commit to concrete actions to disrupt settler colonialism’… This feels like a religious ritual to me.”

Canadian universities are now full of courses like this—which are supposed to teach students about Indigenous issues, but instead consist of little more than ideologically programmed call-and-response sessions. As I wrote on social media, this University of Alberta course offers a particularly appalling specimen of the genre, especially in regard to the instructor’s use of repetitive academic jargon, and the explicit blurring of boundaries between legitimate academic instruction and cultish struggle session.
