Wither California

On their podcast today, Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew Pinsky talk about much that has gone wrong in Southern California.

One insight you may gain is the commonality amongst all Leftist politicians, which is their complete inability to handle the basics of running a community. They ignore all of that and instead focus on future distractions like bike lanes and eliminating cars, things that most people don’t want.

Lest We Forget: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

If any SDA readers have any Swedish connections, would you kindly share this article with Saint Greta:

Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today.

None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true.

What follows is a collection of notably wild predictions from notable people in government and science.

More than merely spotlighting the failed predictions, this collection shows that the makers of failed apocalyptic predictions often are individuals holding respected positions in government and science.

While such predictions have been and continue to be enthusiastically reported by a media eager for sensational headlines, the failures are typically not revisited.

Bill Maher discusses white shame

With the hope that our non-American readers can see this, here’s a clip from Bill Maher’s show where he chastises those who keep apologizing for their white privilege. A definite language warning but it’s well worth a watch:

For those who can’t view it, here’s a writeup on the same.

Incidentally, he suggests that perhaps there should be a “white tax” for those who truly feel “white shame”. It would be a fascinating experiment to setup a charity where all of the funds go to help underprivileged black and latino children, then contact everyone who purports to feel shame for being white and propose that they donate an amount of money each week, pulled directly from their credit card or bank account. How many do you think would sign up for this and stick with it the rest of their lives? Perhaps about the same number of Americans who insist they’re moving to Canada each time a Republican president is elected?!
