It would be interesting to research on the various reasons why people refused the covid vaccine.
My reasons were a combinations of my political philosophy, my curious and analytical nature and a fully functional bullshit detector.
My political philosophy is libertarian. As such, bodily autonomy regarding medical procedures is absolute and non-negotiable. I have the right to free and informed consent without coercion. Government mandates, vaccine passports, travel restrictions, etc. are coercion and a gross abuse of power by politicians.
I dug into the research papers on gene therapy and gene based vaccination trials…it was not reassuring. Plus it became clear early on that being elderly, overweight or unhealthy were the main risks. Covid19 was not at all high risk for everyone else. I made my decision. No mRNA or viral vector injections. I told people I was waiting for traditional vaccines but I’d already decided to trust my immune system.
My bullshit detector was ringing like crazy for the last 2 years. The sheer amount of exaggeration, outright lies and data manipulation is unreal. Thankfully, I’ve never been susceptible to peer pressure or bullying. In fact, such tactics make me more suspicious and more unlikely to comply.
My experience was virtually identical to what Neil Oliver described, right down to “we should watch this and see what happens”. That coupled with the realization very early on that BC’s Bonnie Bullshit was a useless untrustworthy hack, led me to view everything I was being told by the mainstream with extreme skepticism.
LCB, it would also be interesting to research on the various reasons people took the jab.
In my circle of acquaintances, there was a small number who immediately rushed to comply, fully believing the twin narratives that “there is an emergency” and “this will protect me and Grandma.”
You know…CBC/NDP types.
Their numbers were small.
The vast majority of the people I know who took the jab did not believe there was an emergency, or that the jab was effective.
Some did it so they could see their families (either travel restrictions, nursing home restriction, or covid fanatical family members).
Some did it because they wanted their lives back…to travel or be able to go to restaurants & movies.
Some did it because their workplace forced them to, and they had mouths to feed & mortgages to pay.
Many did it so they could see their kids play hockey, or go to their kids’ dance recital.
But few – very few – did it because they believed that covid was a threat, or that the jab would make a difference.
And now?
Some are dead, some are on permanent disability, some are suffering very poor health and missing copious amounts of work, and many are just fine.
For now.
-the first people in the vaccine line were those were the most afraid. The fear mongering was relentless.
-next were the trusting types. Trust in government. Trust in experts.
Slogan”Trust the science”
-then were those with a high level of community mindedness using a mix of guilt shaming and promoting virtuous behavior.
Slogan “Protect Grandma”
-followed by those who were worn down with lockdowns, masks, business closures etc.
Slogan “Take the vaccine to get back to normal”
Those slogans were effective for the vaccine willing. After that the politicians turned from manipulation to coercion/force. Vaccine passports, employment mandates, banning commercial travel. A total disregard for human rights, medical rights, civil rights
– Threats of losing livelihoods and education. Threats of forced quarantine at government facilities, Threats of punitive taxes.
Slogans : “We’re losing patience with you anti-vaxxers”, “Winter of death”, “No jab, no job”
-At this point, people took the vaccine because they feared government, not the virus.
How is what happened in the last 2 years not a form of medical tyranny and a complete violation of citizen’s rights by governments and politicians. And in Canada this abuse of power by politicians is ongoing. Disgusting tactics by politicians from the start to the present.

I was reminded of that earlier today.
I stopped by Lowe’s in the morning and at least a third of the people there, including staff, were face-diapered.
This afternoon, I brought a package to the post office and, sure enough, there were a lot of “safers” hiding their faces. On my way back home, I stopped by the watch repair counter in the nearby Bay and the attendant made sure she covered up. I remarked that it was as if she was the robber and I was going to be slipped a note from her. I’m not sure if she got the joke.
And many who actually still think the vaccine protects them.
My first rule in trusting the gov’t is to never trust the gov’t. I didn’t need to see/hear/read anything else. One can call bullshit on about 99% that comes out of their lying mouths. The fact that they actually are correct on 1% is sheer coincidence, much like a stopped clock. Second, the simple fact that they were pushing this narrative so hard was all I needed for confirmation. Third, the trials were incomplete. Fourth, the facts that started to trickle out here & there: survivability (a big one), “vaxx” development way too timely, reactions to the “vax”, PCR test false positives, restrictions placed on Ivermectin & HCQ (another big one), lockdowns, etc., etc., etc. The list is long & distinguished.
In a real pandemic we’d all see the evidence or at least feel it. I realize that people died but I do not know one single person who died. An uncle who is near 80 got hospitalized (seriously). A cousin with comorbidities got hospitalized (not in too long). More than that the deaths I heard of were six degrees of Kevin Bacon stuff (your cousin’s wife’s uncle kind of stuff). I’m in a larger household and none of us know any person who died: no friends, classmates, co-workers. Government stats (which are cooked) indicate that there were 10 non-senior’s who died in our region of about 200,000 over a 2 year period. There were more motor vehicle deaths. The annual survival rate was 0.999962. If you took out the “with COVID” deaths, it was likely 0.999981 or about 1 in 50,000.
Our local small town newspaper has a “100 years ago” section. I’d be reading it with the weekly typhus, cholera, TB deaths of teens, young adults. What a contrast.

The Pfizer summary report to the FDA was full of holes. I read it and literally felt the hairs on the back of my neck rising. This was my field before I retired. False negative COVID? No dangers of antibody dependant reaction based on a sentence of reassurance? A bunch of Bell’s palsy in cases but not controls? Five times as many cases compared to controls eliminated for administrative reasons? Spike protein will stay in the membrane of muscle cells??? It was just a big bunch of bullshit, obvious to anyone who ever did any medical statistical analysis of a research study. How the hell did this EVER get approved????
At the time I needed no further confirmation, but when the information came to light that Pfizer & Moderna had offered the jab to their control group and that J&J had intentionally lost the control group, the implications stunned me.
“How the hell did this EVER get approved????” Bribery was a huge factor in the States. I want to know why Canadian medical people are not being asked about this. As far as I can tell, exactly the same corruption and looking the other way while paying Pfizer etc. exorbitant amounts of money took place. There are a lot of public health people from whom we should be demanding answers.
Initially I figured no rush.
Australia was in lockdown, there where no cases to catch. By the time the lockdown had holes in it, my bullshit meter was ringing. I already had friends who had developed bells palsy, people who had spent weeks in hospital post jab.

When an allegedly beneficial medical treatment is accompanied by threats of severe consequences for those not accepting that treatment, resistance is the only rational option. Unless you implicitly trust the government, in which case I highly recommend you get vaccinated; and thank you for your contribution to the evolution of the species.
Mine goes back to Dolores Cahill, and her contention that autoimmune reactions in major organs would result. I have see what that looks like, it isn’t pretty. It was reinforced by the coercion, early on I felt as Neil Oliver described, the fact that they used every psychological trick in the book of all the “nudge” departments in the west told me it was unsafe, none of that is necessary without an ulterior motive. The motive nay not be malicious, but it is most definitely not altruistic.
Remember – no one was able to find a cure for the common cold and the deal with a Chinese-made vaccine fell through, much to Justin’s great embarrassment.
That alone should be sufficient reason not to get this jab.

I am an American & Canadian, living in Western Canada (Chinada). I have 2 family members in NH, (mother and brother) who are dying. My husband is driving me 5 hrs down to Seattle – because I am unvaxxed- so I can take a plane to NH. Ridiculous! End the mandates!
How do you get across the border? I thought it was not open to those who don’t take the government goo. I have heard that US customs is soft wrt this on land borders. If not, you’ll need to be first nations or something. Happy to be corrected (I’m waiting until I can escape).

My understanding is you can cross the border if you are a US Citizen. I hope so as I am depending on that to get out of Canada in the fall. Similarly, I think you can come back to Canada if you are a citizen, but there may be a 14 day quarantine.

I have a BSc in physiology. The brand new delivery platform (mRNA) and “warp speed” production were enough for me to take the wait and see approach. I was shocked at how people were clamouring to get those vaccines in Canada in the early days. “Happy to let you take my place, I’ll wait”. I wanted to see how everything went in at least winter 2021-22.
Caught Covid in Feb of 2022 (in Ottawa lol…the freedom variant!) It was v mild and now I have natural immunity. The idea that natural immunity is somehow inferior and you still need a vaccine is so misguided. The entire idea of vaccine is to get your body to produce the antibodies you would if you got said disease.
So far so good for me on the unvaxxed front but I feel there’ll be another push late summer or early fall and there’s no telling what they have in the Nazi inducement bag of tricks to make me fall in line. I have a feeling they’re really going to box me in this time.

– Moderna vs Pfizer efficacy percentage battle: it was like a poker game – Pfizer: ours is 88%, Moderna: ours is 94%, next day Pfizer: actually ours is 95%
– J&J mixup with Astra-Zeneca (at manufacturing time, they’ve botched/messed up a few batches, only a few million dozes no biggie)
– All the back-and-forth re Astra-Zeneca heart issues: it’s ok, no it’s not, gov says it’s ok, actually it’s not.

He said his symptoms started with severe back pain 10 days after his shot. He went to the emergency room multiple times and was admitted on a Saturday when he reported facial tingling.
“By Tuesday, I had full facial paralysis. I could blink but I couldn’t smile or show my teeth at all, and had paralysis from the waist down as well,” Wightman told the National Post.

Had covid February 2020; I have been much worse with flu. I believe in natural immunity so refused the shot.
Is not this a “vaccine” for a virus that no longer exists? Has not the virus mutated? Do not all viruses mutate(the formerly deadly Spanish Flue is now just another seasonal flu).
Perhaps these people are unaware of Omicron and now Omicron-2. These are mutations of the original Covid virus that no longer even notice the vaccine. Their symptoms are those of the common cold, they are so mild, and thus, there is no need for a vaccine, especially one that no longer works.
