    1. From 1960 to 1964 I was in high school in Rhode Island on Aquidneck Island. Back then it took two hours to get to Providence because you had to take a ferry. Today under an hour becAUse they built the jamestown Bridge.
      Raymond Patriarca was in the state’s largest and only real newspaper: The Providence Journal almost every day. He was not a secret at all.
      Everyone knew he ran the whole state.
      Of course it is a state run by Democrats. They go hand in hand.

    1. Interesting a crush between China and the US leaving us as an economic vassal of someone.
      We are approaching being a market of approximately 2 million vehicles a year. Instead of bribing auto manufacturers to throw us some crumbs which in some cases are used for moving expenses out to other countries, allot a quota of vehicles allowed to be sold in Canada based on investment in productive (manufacturing) industries. No more just importing what they can sell with no manufacturing base in country.
      Our responsibity will be then to make an investment environment that is fair and balanced. Remove the EV mandates, subsidies and tailpipe emissions rules that penalize any vehicles not approved by our woke globalist masters. Bye bye Net zero.

    Andrew Coyne, looking down from his CBC and Globe mountaintops, opines that conservatives are “unpatriotic”. Coyne, hob-nobbing although the rich and powerful in Ottawa, sees Canada through the lens of federal TV ads. Media corruption rules. Money and power rule.

      Any Liberal ‘patriotism’ is simply mindless anti-American bigotry.
      And Canada’s conservatives are typically more patriotic.

      There are none, because if there were Trans ‘women’ (men) playing in the WNBA … the optics would laughable and the entire league would be exposed for the JOKE it is. The same is true of the perennial CHAMPION US Women’s National Soccer team. Put a single Trans ‘woman’ on that team and it’s OVER. The JOKE of that team would be revealed instantly.

      My advice to all the black lesbians in the WNBA? Shut up or put up. You want MEN in your women’s league? Do it. And not a Bobby Riggs … but more like a Draymond Green. Good Luck.

  11. The other day I made a comment to Kenji that there are no government liquor stores in Alberta.

    Knowing Alberta did not ban American booze, I went to my favourite candy store which always has rye on sale. I never really noticed before but there was a copious amount of American Whisky and Bourbon available for purchase. Next time I go, I will look at other spirits, wine and beer.

    God love the Republic of Alberta and I look forward to October 19!!!

    1. Liberals and Conservatives too don’t understand one thing about China. China has a population decline and does not want to lose people to emigration. Every Chinese emigrant has a mission. They may be tasked to get an education and return to China. They may be tasked to get well placed in industry to gain experience and steal trade secrets. The may be tasked with entering the government or military and spying for China. As China does not allow free emigration, why would anyone ever assume people coming from China are here to make a better life for themselves and their children. Our allies would be damn fools to share intelligence with Canada.
