Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

To progressives, individualism is a nuisance that must be eradicated. Individual people must be interchangeable for the Great Task.
It reminds me of a scene from the original version of the movie Rollerball. Mr. Bartholomew (played by John Houseman) tells Jonathan E. (James Caan):
“The game was created to demonstrate the futility of individual effort.”
(Watch the movie and see what happens. “Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan!”)
Wow…ROLLERBALL no less.!! Geez, its gotta be 40+ yrs since I seen that..Thanx BA for bringing that up. LOL, just may have to seek that out tonight and watch it.!!
As to the lockdown….?? What lockdown…oh the ongoing – on purpose destruction of our Economy & Personal liberties.? hmmmm..
I go where I want – do what I want – with whomever I please. I am done with listening to the constant bleating of the MSM, so called Health Pro’s and Politicians that for the most don’t know SHIT other than to preach FEAR & spread Lies.
I refuse to cower in my 898 sq ft Condo….freaking out at every shadow. FK THAT. I put my faith in my immune system….and let the chips fall where they may.
Thanx BA for bringing that up.
You’re welcome. It’s an under-rated movie, in my opinion. I never saw the re-make from nearly 20 years ago. From what I’ve heard, it was quite dreadful.
I agree with you about the grand national house arrest we’ve been subjected to. Out in public, I’ll do the same, taking responsibility for my actions. However, in private or commercial facilities, I still have to follow the rules of the proprietor.
One of the things that irritates me about this is how the government treats us as if we’re all complete idiots.
I spent my undergraduate summers in an oil refinery/gas plant complex in NE B. C. During my second time there, I worked with the facility’s maintenance crews. The work was hard and often dangerous. I worked around hydrofluoric acid and hydrogen sulphide, two of the most hazardous substances known to man.
I’ve heard an HF acid burn feels like being stuck with a hot poker. H2S can, in sufficient concentration, make a person lose consciousness almost immediately and kills within minutes because it paralyzes the respiratory system.
Rather than being afraid, I gave the acid and the gas their due respect. I wore appropriate protective gear. I took my time in doing the repairs. More importantly, though, I always knew where my partner was and where the exits were because I might have had to get him out in case of a mishap and vice-versa.
In that place, if one could leave in one piece at quitting time, one had a good day. I’m sure you worked in situations like that, so you know what I was referring to.
Now the government wants me to live in fear of a virus which, in all probability, might not even affect me. I’m supposed to worry that I’ve done everything right, that I keep my distance from people and not come into physical contact with them.
Who does it think it’s kidding?
This shows what the legal industry as well as the education industry really is. Time to clean house. Maybe we could use frozen “Journalists” to beat them into submission. Throw politicians into the to be beaten pile of crap.
It’s not about the virus and never has been. It’s about how much they can get away with by bludgeoning your personal liberties to death. And guess what? Thanks to Poodles like us, It’s been a success!!! Other than a third world banana Republic, tell me what other country slips in a list of prohibited weapons and a Carbon tax in the middle of a pandemic.
Now that we’ve lost our rights…try getting them back.
Hail Trudolini!
OK, tell me something I don’t know and have not railed against for decades.
Yup.
Death to do-gooders.
Funny how every branch of government agrees,Healthcare cannot cope with a basic pandemic.
All matter of fact,”We must lock the citizens in their own homes,to prevent the healthcare system being overrun..
They freely acknowledge having failed to provide adequate healthcare resources..the number one reason Government Must control healthcare, yet the taxpayer must suffer ..
Not one of the people responsible for this massive and insanely expensive failure has even lost one days pay.
Many of them have been held up as heroes.
Mediocracy in action I guess.
First take billions of dollars from the productive to provide an “essential service”,spend 50% of tax dollars on doing so.
Next fail to even provide the most basic service when the “crisis” comes.
And then close hospitals to the sick, Lock down the productive, reward the useless and incompetent, while having your Media Comrades convince the taxpayers that they are being helped..
Canadians are way past stupid, well on the way to extinction.
We need a new country, while we still have remnants of the old to dump the trash in.
Label me bigotted, racist or anything you want but I can guarantee that if the salon owner had been a black woman she wouldn’t have been spoken to like that by the judge. Would like to think I’m wrong, but that was one nasty overbearing judge putting whitey down.
Do not complicate the simple fact that all this nonsense is soft martial law and a dry run. If the invisible powers that be get away with this unchallenged, then expect the real deals sooner than later. Stand up to the bastards. NOW.

You’re no bigot or racist. You’re spot-on. I had those exact thoughts when I first saw that video a day or two ago. It’s reassuring to not be alone.
