        1. Read that earlier today. Its been stated previously that underlying illnesses makes one far more likely of severe illness or death. A few days ago, another article mentioned obesity as a risk factor as well.
          Obesity can be a sign of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, one or all three.

          America and Canada have high obesity rates. Canada, over 25% of adults are obese, 35-40% of American adults.

          Another reason to be concerned, if the rates of infection aren’t contained. Again, its not you, but the others that will pay by not being prudent, and stopping the spread. The rapid spread is the insidious part of the disease. A simple concept to understand, yet, incomprehensible to the uninformed and idiots in society.

      2. Marathon running is a extreame action, and health destroying. Humans are not horses or gazelles.

        If we after hundreds of millions of years were adapted to running 20 miles, we’d be fine. We are not.
        Marathons are anti-health freak shows.

      A 4% death rate, yields 6,800,000 DEAD.

      For Canada, that equates to 760,000 dead.

      What was that about 34,000 dead from the flu? No big deal?

      You do understand how infectious this is now? Italy should be a wake up call. Its a tragedy there, that Spain is repeating.

      Maybe things will be better here. Maybe the spread out nature of our country will help alleviate the spread. Maybe not.

      1. Virtually all the numbers we have for Kung Flu are either completely untrustable (China and the ME) or based on models that wildly guess at the total number of infected. You’re conflating two different bits of data here: the total estimated number of infected, which is based on wild-ass guess models and is intended to include everyone possibly infected regardless of symptoms or severity, and the death rate, which is based on deaths/confirmed tested cases of Kung Flu severe enough to be treated in hospital. Kung Flu does not have a 4% death rate.

      2. Historically, living in high density areas is always dangerous for disease spread. Yet, all eco-mayors in all Canadian cities are making money by only approving condos and apartments. My DNA is full of rural folks, who immigrated to Canada from Scotland, Ireland and Britain in the 1817-1859 period from rural areas. We migrated to Alberta, a great place to grow up.

The government game is to reduce deaths by keeping the infection rate to where the hospitals can cope. You and your kind are want to break the healthcare system, then come for me. Your “freedom” means killing me and like I would with any ghetto rat, I shoot back. There are lots of fine points like Italy v So.
