1. Carney sold Canada out to the EU, so perhaps Trump should deal with the EU and get a Canada deal?

   1. He’s already threatened to tariff the EU if their deal with you should be ‘badly intentioned’ towards us.

   1) Greenlandic (Kalaallisut) is closely related to Canadian Inuktitut.
   2) Greenland is closest geographically to Canada.
   My point is that most logically Canada should have claimed Greenland right after WW2, and certainly by Carney when this debate started.

   5. In order to have done that you would have had to have been a military power, which you weren’t and aren’t. And you would have had to have gotten permission from Britain; you still have a Governor-General.
      You likely had a better chance back after WWII (but that pesky Cold War security dynamic was a problem — Quebec Agreement?), and you certainly didn’t have a chance now. Denmark wants strategic defense and investment from a more capable country.

9. The US used to have multiple bases and 20,000 troops in Greenland. Now they can have 3 bases? I’m guessing the US will never put more than a few hundred troops in Greenland because arming Greenland is beyond stupid.
