  1. In case anyone is paying attention we’re now at 4.1% kill rate among the detected cases, … but there are probably just as many undetected cases as there are detected ones, so according to the “better than a flu” shortbus travelers it makes things better.

    1. Not disputing your point, but further to the unidentified/unconfirmed cases there are also those deaths that have been misattributed to simpler ’causes’, particularly ‘natural causes’ and ‘pneumonia’ without confirming the COVID-19 connection. Ie they don’t show in the COVID stats.

      1. Those could be people with undiagnosed conditions that are borderline, but not troublesome, which complicates matters. Hypertension is often not diagnosed, same as borderline diabetics, and minor heart conditions. Rarely will you see obesity as a cause, but that isnt mentioned either.
The infectiousness, and consequent rate of spread vs typical virus flu/cold, is what makes this more concerning than just the flu.

      2. Dan, to measure the impact of Chicom Kung Flu the reasonable question to ask is: would they still be alive in the absence of the virus?

  2. Hong Kong CoV deaths. 140.
    Population 7 million.
    Death rate 0.00002%

Since November, worldwide, twenty million people have died of all causes.  ( 150 million/yr/worldwide )

7,000 have died of Cov-19., worldwide. = 0.035% of all deaths.

The other 99.965% of people died of something else.

  3. Chinese virus it is.
The world ministry of truth would like to dictate what to call it as to save Chinese face.
    It is mostly working.
In The Calgary Herald this morning, the dictated name is mentioned 5 – 10 times on every page, they will find way to adapt the name to going to the bathroom, whistling or snapping your fingers.

Only when it comes to China, they will enthusiastically report that there is only one as in 1 new case in China.
    Really?

    Information is essentially good.
    Stoking hysteria not so much.

If you don’t believe it you of course are a racist.

  4. Scott Adams is tiresome. He could have conveyed his opinion in 3 minutes but managed to be meandering and, at times, downright dumb. I watched it all to see if there would be more substantive, compelling information….but, no such luck.
