Probably the most outgoing and fun QB to play the game. Definitely one of the best. He never got the break he deserved in Saskatchewan or Hamilton, he did in Calgary and Ottawa and it showed.

Bill Carroll assures me that Burris might be leaving the game, but that he’s not going anywhere. He’s a great guy and a will be the best booster any team could ever have.
AGreed about Burris. But I listen a lot less to CFRA with Carroll – he just blathersand when he talks American issues he just repeats CNN, as does that guy in the afternoon.

He was a very smart player and a very interesting man to talk to. I have met him several times and always was willing to talk football with a fan. He even signed a Stamps hat for an Eskimo fan who was a friend of mine. I will miss you Henry. And BTW, Go Stamps Go!!

Henry Burris is one of the great players in CFL history. He embraced what the CFL is. He was a tremendous talent. He excelled at what he did for a long time and always seemed to enjoy what he was doing. A great thing to enjoy your job.

Met Henry a few times, always a class act. If he can tag team with Pinball they could go coast to coast as motivational and inspirational speakers. Standing room only wherever they’d go, could also be used to boost the CFL brand.

Smilin Hank was a fun player to watch… hope he sticks around the CFL in some capacity… my problem with the CFL is that they don’t have enough Canadians playing in the game… nothing against Americans or anything like that, we need them too… I just feel the Canadian game needs to appeal to Canadians and to cater to Canadians.
Among the many (too soon to be forgotten) heroes of a game that holds this country together more than any government institution or legislation ever will. And by together, I mean a great rivalry where both sides hope to win but both sides accept the outcome and always look to next year with anticipation of repeat or redemption with good will to their perennial opponents.
Among the few (too soon to be forgotten) events we still have (mostly) void of protest.
