This Was The Moment That The Rise Of The Oceans Began To Slow

And the Norks started to fine tune their missile program.

The Pentagon is ordering the top brass to incorporate climate change into virtually everything they do, from testing weapons to training troops to war planning to joint exercises with allies.
A new directive’s theme: The U.S. Armed Forces must show “resilience” and beat back the threat based on “actionable science.”
It says the military will not be able to maintain effectiveness unless the directive is followed. It orders the establishment of a new layer of bureaucracy — a wide array of “climate change boards, councils and working groups” to infuse climate change into “programs, plans and policies.”

Don’t attribute to stupidity that which can be adequately explained by malice.

  1. Both the Norks and Iranians know that a single nuclear device detonated far above the US will create and electromagnetic pulse that would virtually shut down N. America. No electricity, no communication, no fuel, no transportation, no control over pipelines or hydroelectric dam outflows. Strategists estimate that the ensuing chaos would result in the death of 90% of the population.
Nork and Iran are working on missile technology that will soon enable them to do it. And Obama counters by fighting climate change.

  2. In keeping with the great American tradition since 1945 of doing whatever is politically possible to ensure “victory” doesn’t return to the lexicon, we have seen a stalemate in North Korea, the disaster of Vietnam, unfinished business in Iraq I, to the wastes of Afghanistan and Iraq II etc. The ROEs are now ridiculous again (think Vietnam) so foisting the CAGW scam on the military now is just peachy. It will be quite easy to comply – tie-up all Naval fleets, park all the armor and vehicles and ground all aircraft and while they’re at it, de-fuel all missiles to ensure they can’t add to the carbon footprint. Mission accomplished, Obama style.

  3. soooooo this would be yet another way the pentagon boyz get copious amounts of cash from the taxpayers?
    ‘follow the money’.
    ‘military-industrial complex’.
‘a fool and his money are soon parted’.
don’t for a minit, not a Planck moment think the pentagon doesn’t know precisely what this directive means. maybe they asked to have the order issued to get the ball rolling.
NASA’s the same way. to think of the THOUSANDS of satellites that could have scoured every corner of the solar system because they don’t need life support, re-entry considerations, food and waste removal, etc etc. but no, gotta turn the space program into a carnival ride.
    then ask for more cash.

  4. Trump will have to fire 90% of the worthless folks in the Pentagon. Rebuilding a competent defense without the Obama clingers…. A incompetent proven butt licker does not make a good General
BTW: The detonation of a nuclear device would create a EMP, but you really don’t need to do it the hard way…. Spending all our time & money looking for a missile may be less beneficial than thought.

  5. No, it’s not a way to get more cash, it’s a way to get them to squander the cash they do have on non war fighting things.
If I was a commander, I would “consider climate change” by telling my troops to make sure they pack enough clean socks because they might get sweaty.

  6. Obama and “actionable science.”- I thought it was “Settled”.
Should have stayed in the Military,
at least I wouldn’t have to burn those ‘shit tubs’ anymore.

Canadians needs to realize that Obama is on fu(king dope..

  7. Welcome to Absurdistan. If old Lewis Carroll had puffed opium 24/7 he couldn’t have dreamed this stupidity up.

  8. “…the military will not be able to maintain effectiveness unless the directive is followed”
When I think of ‘climate change’ and ‘effectiveness’…
Tank Commander: alright boys, we’ve got orders to rendezvous with bravo company. Driver, let’s move out!
Driver: Yes sir! Uhh, sorry sir, the DPF filter needs to do a regen. It’ll take 25 minutes.
Tank Commander: Unacceptable. Our orders are to move out immediately. Can we override the regen?
Driver: Only for a brief time sir, and then the engine computer will shut us down.
    Tank Commander: *face-palm*

  9. Not surprised, have you listened to our federal Liberal ministers talk of government and programs using words like ecosystem etc they almost sound like biologists.
Maybe it was just me but I found it extremely strange, and figured they are just doubling down on climate stupidity.

  10. This reminds me of an episode in the original Star Trek series where neighboring planets were at war for a very long time, but no physical evidence was apparent. It turns out they fought their war on computers and those who were ‘technically’ killed in an attack were obliged to go promptly to an execution center run by their own people … and die.
Reason … they saw no reason to destroy their infrastructure since it was the killing of the enemy that was the goal.
In the world of the true believes, human life is expendable, but Gaia must not be harmed except for the MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF UNTREATED SEWEGE that get dumped into the St Lawrence River regularly in Montreal PQ, … same in Victoria BC and same in St John NB …. all dump untreated poutine into the eco system all day long.
They have been using a steady flow or barges to take New York City’s waste a few miles out to sea and dropping it … there is so much waste dumped into our oceans that bombing an oil well in the most disgusting and pointless place on earth seems almost charitable. And it might just help raise the price of crude and get some Alberta jobs back.

  11. What better way to undermine the American military, than to cut its funding and then tie it up with dozens of fools errands like integrating global warming and gays into their mission. Do I even need to say “Rules for Radicals” again ?

  12. Meanwhile, the great, slorky North American public concerns itself with important matters: Kardashian cracks and yesterday’s superbowl ads.

  13. I’m sure glad I don’t watch TV any more:
–With references to the Black Lives Matter movement, Malcolm X and the Black Panthers, Beyoncé’s half-time show at the Super Bowl on Sunday might be the most radical political statement from the superstar in her 20-year career.
Backing dancers wearing Black Panther-style berets and clad in black leather were photographed after the performance posing with raised fists evocative of the black power salute by Tommie Smith and John Carlos at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City.–

  14. It will be fine. Any minute now the US Military will announce a quantum leap forward in weapons tech with the unveiling of SubZero’s “Freeze Ray” from the Running Man. No military will be able to touch them with that tech strapped to every plane, ship, tank and footsoldier.

  15. Any General who can’t manage to side-track/slow walk this bolus of BS for another 9 months deserves the crap he’ll catch.

  16. I’ve thought for a while that the best approach to China on this is, (From a real POTUS): “We’re fine with a nuclear North Korea as long as you’re fine with a nuclear Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan”.
