Comedy Central funnyman Stephen Colbert, like most of his friends and allies on the left, thinks that last year’s Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC is, literally, ridiculous. To make his case that the ruling invites “unlimited corporate money” to dominate politics, Mr. Colbert decided to set up a political action committee (PAC) of his own.

I never did see the humour in Colbert’s work. He’s basically a twit, albeit a wealthy twit.
This reminds me of candidate Obama campaigning against all President Bush’s policy only to adopt nearly every single one of them. It would be nice if Colbert actually read Citizens United and tried to understand it rather than relying on Jon Stewart’s explanation as they drove into work together. However, Colbert is finally being funny here.
Here in CDa PMSH not only while remove the vote grant but also the individual contribution limit and the ability get a campaign loan.
“Last Friday, he filed a formal request with the FEC for a ‘media exemption’ that would allow him to publicize his Super PAC on air without creating legal headaches for Viacom.”
In other words, “laws are for the little people.”
Gee, maybe if Colbert and Stewart stared at the Supreme Court Justices and made their playground funny-faces, they could get the results they want!
Hey, its worth a try, it sure works on juvenile audiences..
Colbert’s show displays the last grasp at reality the left still has – fake news, staged “reality TV” programming and a general mocking of the created, evil, bible-pounding straw man conservative.
It is a constitutional travesty if a company spends money supporting a candidate. It is liberty itself if a union spends money supporting a candidate. How is that hard to understand?
Colbert and Steward should have “DNC Approved” in the lower left corner of the picture on their shows. Everyone knows it, so why not admit it?
Used to watch Colbert/Stewart religiously, but now, they get so excited when the liberal agenda is threatened, I can’t watch.
What a shame.
LOL. Village idiot.
Irony is a cruel mistress, no?
Colbert should just set up a union to get around the restriction. He doesn’t need a corporation. Or give money to nonprofits like Soros does.
We are terminal, aren’t we?
