Last night on their Nation News with Lloyd Robertson they were covering this story and also they talked about Donald Trump’s offer to the muslim group behind the Ground Zero Mosque.Trump offered them 25% above the property’s worth to build their mosque elsewhere.The muslims turned him down,saying it was a publicity stunt.

    . This gives credibility to the idea that this mosque is more of a war monument than a religious outreach centre,or whatever they are calling it. Did the CTV team pick up on this? Heavens no.

    That was last Wednesday. Someone “torqued” this story in the N American media away from the award and into the FL Koran issue.
    I just feel that everyone is being played by the Oblameya regime , especially Americans. Its a distraction away from Oblameya polices, the economy and recent gains by the GOP and tea party.

  20. Whether the Koran burning is on or off seems to be changing all the time. I actually own a copy of the Koran (in English, the Penguin Classics one). I have no intention of burning it, as it’s an important historical record of what, exactly, Islam really is, and who its main prophet, Mohammed, actually was (hint: it’s not what the mealymouthed apologists and appeasers and useful idiots say it is). So there’s no good reason to burn it, especially as it’s really useful to have it around. I can crack it open and read from it when one of those foolish individuals tries to tell me that Islam is a “religion of peace” (it isn’t of course, it’s a religion of submission). Just see the looks on their faces when I quote to them some of the verses on how you are supposed to treat unbelievers, or women, etc. (I keep ’em bookmarked for easy reference).
    That being said, it’s pretty clear a lot of people are either too timid, or uninformed, to stand up for their own freedoms. As for me, I have no intention of submitting, I’m a free man, and the mullahs can get lost. It’s crazy and suicidal to allow a medieval fanatical response from Islamic countries (don’t burn a book, or we’ll riot and trash embassies and declare jihad and blow things up)to dictate how free people behave in advanced western democracies. So what to do?
    Well I know what I’m doing tomorrow. I’m inscribing a few phrases from the Koran on a nice piece of Canadian back bacon (maybe with brown sugar, or maple syrup!), and frying it up for breakfast tomorrow. If you really want to make your point, maybe give a piece of it to your dog. The possibilities are endless. Have fun.

  35. The thing is Paul, logistically what you wish for is not plausible.
    A good analogy might be the illegal immigrant issue in the USA. Now as much as I (and likely you) would agree with the sentiment of deporting all of the illegals; realistically, it’s just not going to happen. Sure it’s possible, but when it comes to it, the average Joe’s will not support the breaking-up of families that have made America their home regardless of the legality of things. Those Mexicans WILL get amnesty whether by legislation, or a federal unwillingness to enforce the law. There is no third option, it’s fantasy.
    The same is true regarding Islam. Lets assume everything that everyone says is true “there’s no moderate Muslim”. Are you suggesting that we raid their homes and beat them up? Kill them? Now lets say I agree to that, what about their women, their children? Do we kill them too? Do we not at least give Muslim Canadian kids the opportunity to choose for themselves; or do we convict them for the sins of their parents?
    I’m not saying I’m right, this is just my take on things. You need to get away for a few news cycles before the news drives you crazy. We all need to.
