Rodrigues vs. Garneau — I would worry about either of these choices. I believe that what the Libs are looking for is a “Yes” man for Toronto. Either of these could fulfill that role — to the detriment of Liberals in Quebec. What is not being reported (much) is that Libs are pulling exactly the same stunt (making appointments from Toronto) in Renfres- Nippising – Pembroke — totally ignoring the local riding association. This is a Toronto-centric party and supporters elsewhere need to start paying attention to that.

When the hell are people going to realize that arts and culture needs less tax dollars to mature and grow. I have culture, I live in a culture, I help grow my own version of culture and so does every free willed Canadian. What I need less then some government trying to feed me what they feel my culture should be, is taking my hard earned money and giving it to artists who feel they are entitled to be artists.
You wanna be an artist? take a risk and try to make money at it. It should be no different than any other small business model out there.

That is my point. That is how it should be. She survives by her talent which she worked hard to create and provides a service which people are willing to spend money on.
I do not appreciate being forced to give money through tax dollars to people I do not care to see, watch or listen to. I come home and play my guitar and hand drums and create music, if I feel I am good enough I will put my ass on the line to perform, but this is all possible first by working my butt of all day. I find it to be very disrespectful to me.
