Rapid climate change is forcing scientists to consider for the first time whether to help wildlife relocate to places where they are not currently found, says a group of international researchers who have created a tool for evaluating such relocations.

    They are arguing the merits of religion WRT GW.
    Actually, I have said that all along – AGW is just another religion. He believes that, I believe this. Those bow, these bow. No proof there, no proof here. Taxes here, collection plate there.
    Beliefs – they always lead to a stalemate ! The best kind of controversy. Cannot be proven either way – at least initially. The MSM’s perpetual motion.

    Not necessarily…it depends on your motives.
    Your heart has to be in the right place.
    I vote we relocate the Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes to Iran and the Wolverines to North Korea while the Grizzly Bears would probably get along nicely with the Pandas in the Peoples Republic of China and the Timber Wolves and Cougars would make out like bandits in Venezuela.
    Now where to put the Skunks…?

    IMHO, a large number of crazy people should produce decisions that, when aggregated, obey the law of large numbers (since they make so many decisions). This means that the statistical distribution of these decisions (if mapped to good or bad results) should be zero-mean Gaussian. Or in other words, they should make as many good decisions as bad decisions.
    Do to the strong bias present in a lot of these decisions, this does not suggest randomness. Thus, craziness should be discounted.
    Rather, it appears to me that delusional is a more apt description of the decisions made. Delusions of grandeur, omniscience, entitlement, etc, etc..
    Basically, we have a bunch of deluded, yet driven, egotistical idiots running the show. We literally would probably do much better just by putting monkeys in charge.

    This all comes down to Management 101.. In the world of stupid decisions incompetence raises its ugly head.
    When decisions are made (at higher levels) that have a negative impact ones area of responsibility a manager must never sit on his hands. When in that meeting with your boss & his bosses you have ~45 sec to make your best case before a non-reversal decision is made. You cannot change (post mortem) any decision that you had an opportunity to influence without getting fired for incompetence.
    We have to many silent monkeys, sitting on thier hands, in the scientific & legal community

  32. In light of the rapidly cooling climate (last year had the single biggest one year drop in global temperature on recored) I support the plan to relocate animals to warmer climes.
    However a giant sled might be more appropos.

How about relocating “Greenies” to places like Africa’s Sudan, Afganistan, or any other under developed 3rd world nation that will suffer from not being able to develope their natural resources like the first world nations that are singing the praises of AGW… as for relocating animals which was the point of the article to begin with … “DON’T SCREW WITH MOTHER NATURE” didn’t you idiots learn anything from all the other historical screw ups of introducing animals to enviroments they don’t naturally exist in to begin with…

    No argument there Kate, but as I witness the free world in total meltdown; it’s systematic economic destruction being the main driver of my concerns, I am saddened by the fact that when my wife and I make our planned move to escape the crashing civilisation by finally moving away to our little piece of land up north, we are entering this stupid cooling phase.
    The last 2 decades of natural warming period have been a boon for all of us Canucks and most of the world for that matter. Now that humanoid life is about to get a lot tougher (Think Great Depression x 5 + WWIII) on this planet, coincidently, another cooling period is kicking in too.
    Should we just party our brains and livers and eventually our lives off compressed in the next 5 years or so by burning our nest egg full tilt before it ends up in some Government or investment gone sour bank coffer somewhere?
    Or should we just try and grow potatoes and carrots in frozen soil overlooked by mostly cloddy skies for the next 20 years?
    Canada’s a great country to live in when we have prosperity…And warmer weather.
    Going south when Sodom and Gomorrah is burning ain’t that great an option either.
    That “party” is sounding better by the minute! 😉

    SEE! We have no solutions to threaten the Market & he intends to keep it that way. He is a warm & cuddly turd.
    AGW is not the main goal of these vermin. If you do a quick read on the three levels of simple Project Management, although this is a very sophisticated project, and plug in the obvious data you have a Picture that looks like this
    MISSON Statement: “To connect Co2 to Climate” such that carbon becomes a commodity
    The process’s used to accomplish this Task (make up the Cloud of the Unknown) are AGW/ Global Cooling/ and anything that will avoid PROOF …The role of AL to manipulate public opinion, the Stank’s need for California Cash and every other politician on the take
    The Management level; meant to verify the Mission Statement compliance. This coordinates the process such that time lines & manpower allocations are meet… Stomp out fires. They are the paymasters & scum masters
    It all comes to a stop when a Class Action lawsuit is filed and the EPA “MUST” prove its Science. IMHO the science was never meant to exist
    What is not to understand? The reasons “why” are more complicated and are above my pay group

  50. Isn’t the “paint all the roofs white to stop global warming” a clear admission that there really is something to the Urban Heat Island Effect and if so, since the surface measurements are so skewed by the UHI Effect, that there really isn’t any Global warming?
