Here is how you define the difference between communism and socialism.
I was told this story first hand by a former Local Teamster Union President and eventual Tory MLA from Manitoba who visited the Soviet Union in the early 80’S in hope of learning more about the “successful” Soviet Model.
What he saw and was the population suffering tremendous deprivation while the political elite prospered.
He came home resigned from his post as president of his local union and began a long personal fight to stop what he called “Creeping Communism”.
He said socialism and communism are the same thing it’s just that socialist take your rights and your property away at a slower pace than communists do but the end result is the same.
Well said Claude, I always laugh when lefties challenge people on the differences between communism and socialism. Well, The difference is the amount of time it takes from when you question their methods or beliefs until the point when they shoot you in the head. Lets call socialism a ‘slow death’…

ok4ua, go look up those balanced budgets at the Provincial Auditor’s site, then tell me how we had balanced budgets that didn’t follow the GAAP accounting rules and why the debt got larger in years that Calvert claimed the budget was balanced.
Then you can explain to us all how strip mining every last dollar of cash flow out of the crowns and calling it revenue works.
The crown debt went up because they had all the cash stripped away, and even then Forlorne had to use voodoo accounting to fool people.

“When the Progressive Conservatives trashed the province and its infrastructure, the public overwhelmingly brought the NDP back into power to clean up their mess. Once the mealy mouthed, braindead, know nothings you speak of have sufficiently wrecked things again for Saskatchewan’s people, the voters will once more bring back the NDP to straighten things out.

The Lefties sure have their knickers in a knot, get over it, your heroes lost, you’re losers, move to Manitoba.
The NDP party trashed Saskatchewan, just like they trashed B.C. before they got turfed, so it wouldn’t be such a jump to find the NDP trashed the offices too. The place would probably need a lick of paint after the scum slid out anyhow.
Nobody would be surprised to learn that departing socialists had trashed their offices and equipment. Socialists are by their nature emotionally underdeveloped and are unable to accept that sometimes things don’t go their way, and when they don’t, they invariably react with childish tantrums and name-calling.
Genuine diversity that extends beyond skin colour — i.e., intellectual or political diversity — is frightening and shocking to them, and they invariably respond to it with petulance and insults, at best — and at worst, violence and vandalism.
The possibility that somebody could find fault with their ideas is not something socialists can accept, and of course the essence of maturity is the ability to accept and respect differing points of view. So I would not be at all surprised to learn that what Kate alleges is true.
However, I’d sure like to see something to corroborate her post. I cannot find a single story. I have to believe that any real damage that had occurred would have been widely reported.
I have great respect and admiration for Kate and want very much to give her the benefit of the doubt, and I hope she clears this up, one way or another, soon.
Things are getting interesting around here! I haven’t looked at this subject’s comments until just now and what occurs to me is that there is a bit of a ganging up on Kate by several leftards going on here. And, it appears to be a co-ordinated attack. Well leftguys, you better send for some re-inforcements, you know, get a “surge” of troups to help you out. Kate and her sheeples are still kickin a$$.
Now if only Saskatchewan, well those in Wascana anyway, can boot out the objectionable Ralphie Goodale! Then we can say they’re on a roll.

It would seem proof of Kate’s assertion is hard to come by. Nothing on the CTV web site, and nothing in the media.
Perhaps Kate would give us the time in the Gormley telecast where he supposedly “followed up” on this.
After all, we wouldn’t want to think Kate, like other CONservatives, is simply making stuff up, now would we?
