It’s hard to think of something that could top the trashed offices in the Saskatchewan Legislature left behind by a departing NDP administration – unless it was the stuffed wolf/coyote that incoming Premier Brad Wall found waiting to greet him.
Let that sink in for a moment, while I try to find photos.

  4. I find this completely disgusting, but not surprising coming from the NDP with Lorne Calvert as Leader. I guess the culture of entitlement has spread West. Just another incident telling the people of Saskatchewan they voted correct and now I feel ashamed the NDP and it’s extremist radical core represented this great province at one time.
    I’m sure this is the tip of the iceberg of things to be found from the past NDP.

    When the Progressive Conservatives trashed the province and its infrastructure, the public overwhelmingly brought the NDP back into power to clean up their mess. Once the mealy mouthed, braindead, know nothings you speak of have sufficiently wrecked things again for Saskatchewan’s people, the voters will once more bring back the NDP to straighten things out.

  16. Just remember, the bureaucrats are left behind to sabotage the Conservatives’ efforts until the NDP come back. You pay their salaries and benefits, as well as their big fat pensions, and they will do their duty to the waiting powers to be to make any change to the status-quo difficult for the current government. Wall should clean house as a first item on his “to do” list, before making any legislative changes that these petulent “public servants” don’t feel are in the best NDP tradition.

From the picture at the Leader-Post, it appears that the “wolf” is simply a trophy, and wouldn’t be out of place (no more than a totem pole or a mural of aboriginal life in the BC legislature), but if the NDP is truly trashing offices, they should be thumped big time for it and made to pay for any damage.

  20. Strange how the office trashing never made it to the news? It’s seems it’s in neither the Regina Leader Post or the Saskatoon Star Phoenix.
    Why is that?
    It seems, most logically and likely, Kate is copying the Bushco attack on the Clintons in 2001. Nothing happened, but is made for good copy.
    Of course, Kate and company here will obviously blame the mythical “Liberal Media Bias” for covering up the story.
    As for the stuffed coyote crack…WTF? All I saw were pictures of Wall POSING WITH IT? And Kate makes it sound SINISTER? Was the coyote missing its head? Did it have pins poked into it?

  33. I know people contracted to clean the Leg after the election, and there was no evidence of damage to the offices. The hiring of professional cleaners is standard practice when governments change. They said there was nothing out of the ordinary.
    I haven’t seen a shred of news about this in any newspapers or on TV. If there’s any proof out there, I’d like to see it tabled. Anything other will just enforce the idea that Katie is nothing more than a petty liar. Based on her comment about Brad Wall being the best public speaker in Saskatchewan, this is the popular perception anyway.
    Justthinkin, I reiterate that this is the worst misnomer ever.

  35. For one, the wolf/coyote statue was merely a joke. A joke the dipshits take serious because they view Mr. Wall as a wolf/coyote (they can’t tell the difference obviously). What socialist wouldn’t hate on a guy that has common sense and promotes business/employment?
    Two, the offices weren’t trashed. Trashed is a strong word, ‘left a disgusting’ mess would suite better. It’s too bad the SP or LP didn’t have time to write about pizza stains in the carpet. Go figure why there is no source mr. lefthead.
    I have come to the conclusion the building was a mess before the Sask Party won the election??!

    Mantyka reported on a small jam stain that resulted in the Sask Party demanding that thousands be spent to replace a carpet that did NOT need replacing …. Nice try but a complete and utter fabrication Kate … ‘followed up by Gormley’ … now there is a reputahle source ….
    Get your friends at the leg to get a verification from Sask Property Management Corp.
    Talk about a bunch of ‘Saskawhiners’ – you guys win the prize for that!!!

  46. I would like to give Kate the benefit of a doubt,however partisan accusations specific as these should not be offered without some proof of their existence.
    I come to sites such as this to try and counterbalance the leftist bias of reporting such as the CBC regularly does.I have voiced my opinion many times on their blatant and consistent anti-right spinning.
    I would be nothing short of a hypocrite then to expect any less integrity of this site,as it was apparently born out of a frustration with dishonesty and spinning of others.

    I can’t wait to get on with some progress in this province and leave these morons behind in the dust, wondering where their government paycheques went while the people who aren’t afraid of REAL WORK finally start to get a fair shake.
    And in regards to the trashing of any offices in the Leg… well would we expect any less?
