  1. This is a red state / blue state election.

    Highly urban areas are the domain of the far left. The cpc has to win in rural and suburban Canada – as much of it as possible if Atlantic Canada has been bought and paid for (with western Canadian’s money). To walk away from another 25% of the voters in Quebec guarantees an LPC win.

    1. And, theCPoC under both Harper and Scheer have abandoned the rural areas. For the NDP, Liberals, CPoC, it’s “screw the rest, we’ll take the cities”.

      All you need to do is create problems, promise to solve them, and the morons who infest cities and pay no taxes vote for you.

        Other than heavily unionized Ontario and Atlantic Canada the CPC won virtually every rural riding.

        1. Gord, our first past the post moronic system is the problem. Those who think otherwise just do not think. When less than 35% of the 63% of the electorate that vote, give us a majority government, then something is seriously fing wrong.

            Bad as centrist and unprincipled blobs of jelly like Scheer are, they’re better than a hard right or a hard left government.

          2. I disagree OWG. Canada’s problem is we do not have 1 man/woman 1 equal vote. Quebec and Atlantic Canada have special rules making their vote worth more per voter than anywhere else in Canada. Quebec can never have less than what 75 MPs even if their population dropped to 10,000. Meaning unless you buy them off they will never vote for you. They are pathetic welfare BUMS with principles

            PEI votes count about 4x as much as the rest of Canada while Quebec votes count about 5 to 10 percent more.

Even the US constitutional republic is superior.

  3. If I was Scheer I would make it an unspoken rule that the PPC should be free to take as many seats in Quebec as it can.
    But then I’m not Scheer nor am I the leader of any federal party.
    Lets see what October brings.

      You want to be able to say:
      “Rather than address those things that divide us, the progressive parties, especially the liberal party, wants to accuse a leader of a federal party and a Quebecois at that, of being racist”.

    2. You have that Right!….. If Max limits Turdo in Quebec & Scheer limits Turdo in Ontario… A Minority Conservative Government of Max & Scheer could be formed… The Liberals (socialistic goals) would be defeated….The NDP will be supporting Liberals in Key ridings (What is the difference between them) and the same policy will work for Conservatives….

      You win Elections by getting more Votes, or by turning-off the support for your main opponent (Turdo)

      BTW: The “talking Off-Camera” commercial by Scheer is more annoying than the effect of the direct ending..

    I think he’s going to be creamed in Ontario which is totally unnecessary considering the gift that Jody and the good doctor gave him in the spring.

    Yes, he did get seats in Quebec when he got the majority government. No he did not need them.

  6. Andrew and the conservatives are not going to win this election. If you want any hope to have a new country we need as a group to join the governing provincial parties in critical mass so a vote on UDI can be forced at the party conventions following the federal elections. The status quo will be fought for fiercely and without a plan to seize power from the entrenched all we will be able to do is sqwak. ( aka the protest caravan that went to Ottawa unfairly painted as nazi , bigoted Ect.)

    1. And even if Scheer’s CPC wins this election, it won’t amount to a damn thing that matters. There will be no meaningful policy changes, course corrections, cultural shifts, etc. The current CPC has been effectively taken over by the Red Tories and are barely a step to the right of the old PC party. This country is simply TOO FAR LEFT to ever come back, and our precious constitution and charter all but ensure it stays that way. Forever.

      I give it another 20-25 years, before AB & SK are well on their way to secession. They’re not there yet, and their current premiers aren’t the men to lead them there. But another generation of Ottawa catering to the centre while spitting on the west – regardless of who holds power – that’ll get them there.

  10. As a PrairieWest separatist I have mixed feelings. The best scenario for separatism is a Trudeau led minority coalition of Liberal/NDP/Green who have no seats in Alberta and Saskatchewan. That would turbocharge a separation referendum. The federal government, Justin’s government owned journalists and the rest of the chattering class would be chanting “kill the fossil fuel industry” in unison 24/7. Their agenda will have no smiley facade and PrairieWest voters will understand it time to go. Canada is a government that only serves central Canada.

    Actually, I lied, I don’t have mixed feelings. This will be the first election (prov and fed) that I will not be voting. I’m only interested in separation from Canada. Canadian confederation is broken and unfair. The federal government is corrupt. Alberta and Saskatchewan can do better without the shakles from Ottawa.

Don’t disagree with you LC, but western separation will never happen because the majority in every province (Alberta included) can be relied upon to vote for parties that promise to supply the toilet paper AND wipe their arses: Liberal, NDP, Green, and Conservative of scheer-the-steer variety.

      It bothers me to no end that I can confidently make the generalization that Canadians are cowards – with no stomach for contemplating the sacrifices necessary to turn things around, let alone standing, up, speaking out, and taking action.

      Actually, that’s the worst thing you can do. If I may, with all due respect, you’d be better off to show up, and spoil your ballot if you must. Simply put your “X” – in for all names, instead.

      I’m perhaps one of the last few people in the World who had to write a matriculation exam in Canadian History in English Quebec. Not passing this course meant not getting a High School Leaving Certificate. Our teacher warned us about not voting.

      We were urged to vote. I was haunted by that teacher! Don’t think I ever missed voting.

      Does anybody back me on this? Was my teacher correct? She also indicated that if we didn’t use our ballot, someone else would!

Taxpayers on the hook for the Interest Payments of millions of dollars costs on the 4.5 billion paid out. MORE job loses in Alberta happening end of year. ONE WORLD GOV’T coming to Canada.   13. The west needs a leader to take the challenge of separation to the next level. Canada is broken and will never be repaired. Time to split. None of the federal parties will do anything to mend Canada. Harper tried but Canadians voted for the idiot and now we see the results. The problem isn’t Trudeau or Scheer or Singh or May or Max. The problem is the voters who have no vision for the country and vote for whomever panders to them the most.

  14. All Canadians should get together and lobby for the disbandment of the federal level of government. It doesn’t do anything that can’t be done better at the provincial level, except defence, and it does such a crap job of that, that there isn’t really any point in bothering. The feds are a millstone on all of us.

  15. Albertans need to push the Provincial Government to hold a Binding Referendum for a Democratic Mandate for a UDI. The only way Canada can be fixed is through very strong Provincial Governments that do their citizens bidding and not Ottawa’s.

      1. And what is your solution Elizabeth? There is no way forward for anyone in Western Canada, either by voting in Federal elections that are rigged. No way forward through the corrupt SCOC. The only way forward is for very strong Provincial Leadership that fights for Albertan’s 1st. There are many ways to do that, Alberta can get out of Equalization by withdrawing from the Federal/Provincial Fiscal Arrangements Act which is not in the Charter. But it funds equalization. It can withdraw from the Employment Insurance Scam, It can withdraw from CPP. It can increase the Provincial Police ie Alberta Sheriff’s and kick out the RCMP, It can kick Ottawa out of the 10M acres of Alberta Parkland along with the UN. It can boot Fisheries and Oceans Canada out of Alberta, along with Ag. Canada. It can begin collecting all tax in Alberta. It could do as the Indians do and block the TransCanada, it could shut down rail going east and west, it could quit pumping oil and gas to the rest of Canada, it could shut in BC Natural Gas lines crossing into Alberta. And it can do as I also said have a Binding Democratic Referendum seeking a Mandate for a UDI. Alberta has many, tools at its disposal if they had the Leadership to do that, a person will eventually arise. And you Elizabeth, what are you doing besides being a sheep. And still voting in RIGGED Federal Elections..…..GO UDI ALBERTA, Pick up the hammer of the UDI and smash your chains…

Where, were you Elizabeth, when beginning under PET and ending under Martin the Liberals sold off the 1000 Metric Tos of the people of Canada’s Gold Reserves

        Did you stand for us all or do anything when the crooked Liberals stole 300M in ADSCAM, then Martin picked a nice safe crooked Liberal Judge to listen to stories about golfballs from Chretien in a Liberal appointed Inquiry, so the Attorney General of Quebec would not have to charge Chretien and the Liberal Party of Canada and they would have to testify in open court under oath. Like the Little People.

  18. I can confirm that the election campaign is underway in all but name. Earlier this evening, I received a telephone call from someone working for the Liberal candidate in my riding.

    When she confirmed the party affiliation, I promptly hung up. I suppose I could have spent some time telling her what I think about Prinz Dummkopf but I might have become rather ungentlemanly about it.

The Democrats are flailing around like silly turkeys… The resist & obstruction agenda is not a reason to elect America hating Democrats. The Brooklyn gangster is holding what is actually OBSTRUCTION hearings in the House, no chance in hell that the House will vote for a useless (No chance in Senate) impeachment… That hearing will be the final nail (keep the issue front & center) in the Democrats resist, obstruction theme going into 2020 election….
