Saudi Aramco has informed at least two oil refining customers in Europe that they will receive no crude oil next month following an attack on the kingdom’s main pipeline to the Red Sea, according to a report from Bloomberg News, citing people familiar with the matter.
They can have the oil at MARKET VALUE! NO DEALS!!

While Saudi said no shipments to the EU (they’re shipping to Asia), I think you do use that same route (and well, you’re now an associate member, so maybe they just lumped you guys in).

I find that strange too. The Saudis may have some of the best military equipment and the money to buy more, but my guess is their military commaders and regular soldiers just aren’t willing and able.

The Saudis don’t seem to be spending any of that money to have PMC work on the problem. Their armed forces have the usual problems of reliability with arab armies.

I watched a video on YouTube yesterday in which the narrator stated that all of the brightest minds in engineering, physics and medicine are emigrating from the country due to the high taxes. First, the government taxes 47% of your income and then a further 19% on any purchases which you make – utilities, food, clothing, gas, vehicles- that is 66% of your income. (I hope I do not give the Canadian government any ideas!)
I truly hope I have enough money to last until I die. Based on family history, I have 3-10 years left. I do not know if Canada can last through the next decade.

What’s all this talk about oil? According to government TV ads “the world is racing towards clean energy” which it implies that Canada can provide. Unless I’m mistaken we don’t have any clean oil, just the regular kind. Of course without pipelines we couldn’t sell any to Europe anyway. Maybe Carney is thinking about a long extension cord running from prairie wind farms to France.

And Canada already has a free trade agreement with the EU, which started in 2017. In the 9 years since that agreement took place, Trade has increased by 76%. For comparison, EU bilateral trade with the US went up 81% in the same time frame.
