Leftist attitudes on police show them with another huge blind spot when it comes to common sense.
Police aren’t there to protect the public or “solve crimes”, they are there to maintain order by giving the public the belief that transgressions will be punished by the state. In the absence of that belief, will feel they need to handle matters themselves.
I don’t know where that point is that vigilante justice becomes more common, but I know we are closer to it than we were a few decades ago.
When I lived in Regina, I would drive through North Central in the day for shortcuts. But you would have to be an idiot to drive through the Hood after 6:00 pm.
On another note, I lived in Regina for 12 years and noted that the only fires occurred in North Central or Heritage.
The next time a white boy is arrested in Toronto he can argue that importing millions of wogs left him disconnected from his culture.

Last year, a friend was driving through a reserve in northern Manitoba when a pickup truck crossed the highway in front of her. She had no time to brake and hit the truck, damaging her car beyond repair but luckily incurring no injuries. The driver of the truck stumbled out of the cab and weaved her way back into the reserve, obviously drunk. The RCMP were there within minutes, and when my friend pointed out the drunken state of the other driver, the cop told her they had “no time” to investigate.
Sadly, you don’t even need to be dealing with ‘The Res’ for this to happen. I was almost run off the freeway exit to my little town by an obvious drunk driver who continued to swerve his way into town. He continued on to (barely) park in front of a grocery store. I followed him into the store … as he stumbled in and asked the store manager to call the police, that he just about ran me off the road and needs to be stopped from getting back into his car. He did. But the man saw us doing this and left the store, weaving through the large parking lot that stretches for two blocks. The police showed up and I pointed him out explaining what had happened. They managed to stop him before he left the parking lot.
What did they do? Field sobriety test? Nope. Breathalyzer? Nope. They told him to park his car and called him a cab. I was OUTRAGED and screamed at our local city Police officer … who are contracted out to the County Sheriff’s Office … that the man was literally FALLING-DOWN drunk!!! My kids were all in elementary school at the time and I didn’t want an asshole like this killing them.
The Police Officer said that he would have to drive him to County Jail to book him and do paperwork and it would take hours to do. I told him he needs to be fired for dereliction of duty. He just shrugged with a little laugh and got back into his shiny new $250k cruiser.
Don’t get me started on the whole “heroic First Responder” narrative.
The perp was probably a close relative to an important politician or bureaucrat.
There was reason to believe he was … known … to the PO. I know most of the politicians, and moneyed interests in the town, and I didn’t recognize him. But you’re probably correct. And I have no doubt he continued to drive drunk. Although he was old enough way back then, that he’s probably dead and gone now. No loss.
Probably a repeat offender who upon a second, third, or fourth DUI … might actually get REALLY prosecuted. As if. Because we’ve classified alcoholism as a disease … an uncontrollable… disease. Hence drunk drivers are … the REAL victims
The other intriguing part of this story is how the police did not administer a breathalyzer test despite the fact that the driver had open liquor with him. Did the driver play the race card the moment the cops arrived? Keep in mind that the reserve in question is next to Caledonia which suffered an armed insurrection when the natives decided to loot a housing development a few years back.
