A state-run euthanasia program governed by strict procedural safeguards.
It was Sunday, October 24, 2021, when 61-year-old Donna confessed to her family that she had been approved for Canada’s assisted-dying programme, officially known as Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).
Her death was scheduled for the following Tuesday – expedited due to her having qualified for Canada’s streamlined ‘Track 1’ pathway, reserved for individuals whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable.
But Donna was not terminally ill, according to her daughters, who insist she was in the midst of a spiralling mental health crisis, triggered by a car accident and exacerbated by the isolation of the Covid-19 lockdown.
But most of all — it offers privacy.
Donna became the first known MAiD death in Canada to be investigated by police.
But the investigation grounded to a halt when the Fraser Health Authority refused to hand over the relevant records – the MAiD assessments themselves – to the police, citing privacy protections.
It’s about procedure. Maybe.
Do we want police to follow procedure, to be subject to the rules of civilization, or do we want a police state?
Are privacy protections there to protect citizens or are they there to protect agents of the state from oversite?
I am against suicide, assisted suicide, cannibalism by organ donation, and government secrecy.
There are no possible safeguards for a system that is designed and run by those who want to kill legally and are without ethics.
Especially when you can always just ask yet another provider, after one says no.

“Donna diagnosed herself with central sensitization syndrome (CSS), a condition where the central nervous system becomes hyperactive and amplifies nerve signals, causing ordinary touch to feel overwhelmingly painful.
“Donna’s personality also changed. She cut all her hair off. She stopped bathing. She had manic episodes, where she would lose control and shout obscenities. She refused to accept antidepressants and refused to try any treatment that did not match her own self-diagnosis.
“She was also starving herself by eating 800 calories a day – a symptom of her depression – but also as a way of proving to MAiD assessors that she was physically sick. “

Privacy rights and legal protections for personal information continue in Canada after a person dies, but these protections gradually weaken and usually expire after 20 to 30 years.
Here in the States the current slogan is … “Medicare for All” Let me rewrite that based on the Canada-model of “Free” Healthcare … “Kevorkian for All” … esp. all those mothers [sic] having homicidal mental problems.
The organ harvesting industry is becoming very attractive to those who are willing and able to become very wealthy trafficing human body parts. A vile bunch of humans.

It’s important to keep in mind that these decisions to allow MAiD and to lock down citizens in Canada, and to only permit gov’t healthcare, and to not permit investigations into this, nor openly talk about it within gov’t (the Dr’s who are not permitted to criticize vaccine madness) and their media dependents, are all controlled “permitted or required by law” and gov’t. Not “big gov’t” or “bad gov’t” or “gov’t gone off the rails” but simply gov’t in Canada.
