  1. Thug Ford not available for comment.
No surprise. Another effect of too much immigration. Electrical demand continues to rise.
And Marx Carnage and his gang green want MOAR EVs.
    Where’s the power coming from?
No new data Centers, other than 2 that Telus built almost 10 years ago in Quebec and Kamloops. Nothing that approaches those in Texas and points south.
Recall, the BCNDP were dead set against Site C dam, “BC doesn’t need it” they said!
Sure, sure. Now between the EVs, heat pumps and growth, BC imports 25% of its needs.
25%. Again, another mismanagement of huge proportions by the NDP.
The only viable location for another dam is the Stikine River canyon, but it will never happen. The Indians will ensure that, and their environutter friends.
    This country is SO FECKED.
We are truly a Banana Republic.

  2. When the #Libranos run down the clock on the free trade deal between Canada, the USA, and Mexico, will electricity be subject to tariffs? I expect Toyota and Honda will close their factories and move the works south.
Canada isn’t contributing to the problem in Iran, similar to the rest of NATO, the nation is a mess on every level, we’ve never been more divided, money is tight everywhere and the Toronto housing market is set to implode.

    gradually, then suddenly…

    1. Yes Toyota and Honda will close their very successful plants. But don’t worry, for sure China will build new EV plants here, and for sure the Americans can’t wait to buy Chinese EVs built in the same country they don’t want to buy excellent Toyotas and Hondas from.

  3. I find it interesting that both BC and Quebec, two provinces rich in hydro-electric, are net importers. I would have thought that Quebec at least would still be a net exporter.

  4. well, looking at the chart, the trend was there well in advance.
sooooooooo howcum no alarms in the press? oh. right. the $600,000,000.

  5. L – Canada’s ship of state, with Captain Carney running on full masts towards an iceberg of debt, denial, debauchery and destruction. Wexit isn’t an option. It is a lifeboat!

  6. In the very near future, Cubans and Venezuelans will point to Kanada as an extreme cautionary tale.

  7. This is brilliant! What better way to achieve Net Zero than to export all that foul [sic] carbon fossil fuel burning to the USA! Make MI choke to death from Co2 … Right? This is genius!
