A New Administration, Same Old Support for FISA
long time opposer of the FISA Act and current MAGA nominee for the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, had a “closed-door meeting,” very similar to Johnson’s, and came away suddenly convinced that FISA was/is a great and necessary piece of legislation.

Now I remember the circumstances. Gabbard had to reluctantly concede on that issue to clear the nomination process.
She’s still a great DNI head.
By the way, that FISA extension expires in less than 2 years, so the mistake may be corrected.
I remember that too, Lupus. A tricky moral balancing act but I think she’s sticking to her guns. However, I wonder how close she is allowed to the action by her three letter acronym departments.

I’m less bothered by FISA being extended again as I am by the same old leftist Judges who sign off on targeted investigations built on fraudulent evidence. The Judges ARE the FISA Court. And IMHO they ALL need to be removed, and replaced by men of Constitutional judgement.
I like how Tulsi just came out and said that Islam is fundamentally un American. That Islam does not BELIEVE in individual liberty and freedom … but they believe in enslavement. Wow. And here good ol’ George Bush called Islam the … “religion of Peace”. That’s brave and correct of you Tulsi. Congrats for saying it out loud.
