A More Perfect Bromide Festival

A cultural movement has to be dedicated to something more specific than “problem solving” to be remotely effective. Marxists, for instance, are as keen on solving problems as anyone, but view class warfare as the go-to solution and we know where that leads. It’s no shock that the backers of this vacuous nonsense are comprised of the usual gang of mainstream celebrities and non-profits.

Founding members range from nonprofits — including GivingTuesday, Goodwill Industries and Habitat for Humanity, businesses like Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment and the National Basketball Association, to funders like the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and More Perfect.

Hooks said this is a 10-year commitment toward trying to achieve what would be a profound shift in behavior and culture. He referenced a 2024 Pew Research Center survey that found most Americans in 2023 and 2024 did not believe that the U.S. could solve its most important problems, saying it was a “red alert” for the country.

  1. Marxists are the source of society’s problems, with no intention to solve anything but their monetary hierarchy.

Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules for Radicals:

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”
Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.”
It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”
Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”
    Don’t become old news.

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”
Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”
Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

  2. “Marxists, for instance, are as keen on solving problems as anyone…” Usually only thru imprisonment and murder. So not that great.

  3. Marxism is an evil system pushed by those who rule us onto the stupid, the greedy, and the willfully blind. Marxism benefits rulers at the cost of everyone else. But because the stupid are generally early recipients of other peoples’ money, they are often quite receptive.

  4. Except people like this never actually solve problems. They perpetuate them, and make fortunes doing so. They’re not benefactors. They’re racketeers. They always have been.

The absolute last thing the elites want is to solve the real problems their wage-slaves are concerned about. They make a good living causing those problems.

The first thing anyone serious about solving problems does is to find what’s causing the problem and do something about it. In almost every problem faced by a society, the cause of the problem is garbage people, and the solution is to get rid of the garbage people.

That’s what Nayib Bukele did in El Salvador. His solution to gang violence was simple—round up the gangsters, toss them into a real prison and see to it they stayed there.

    It worked.

El Salvador is now the only country in Latin America where law-abiding people need not fear being kidnapped or murdered by gangsters, and the only country in Latin America that the State Department rates as safe for Americans to visit.

Bukele is the only Palestinian Arab globalist do-gooders ever speak ill of, in terms that they would never use to describe actual Palestinian Arab murderers and would be tyrants like Yahya Sinwar (may his memory be blotted out).

In El Salvador, Bukele’s a hero. Bukele’s mobbed-up political opposition has essentially collapsed without mob support, and the local globalist media that only ever seemed to care about the human rights of gang members have had to shut up shop or continue their disinformation campaigns against Bukele in exile.

In neighboring countries, people are asking why the Salvadoran solution to gang violence wouldn’t work elsewhere. The local political elites (themselves invariably mobbed up) have yet to provide a convincing explanation.

The capture of Maduro has now put them on notice. Do something about your gangs, like Bukele did, or Trump will do it for you.

  5. It is projection all the way down.
Our progressive Comrades are the “evil” they warn us against.
Any examination of their “help” turns up their malice.
A tax on all do-gooders is called for starting at150% of their gross income…
For they are always, ever so generous ..with our money.
