The assassination of Charlie Kirk unleashed a torrent of hateful glee from Leftists throughout America and elsewhere. Very few, to no, Democrat political leaders had the courage to stand up against them because they know that these folks are their base and do not want to be canceled themselves. But one has to believe that the majority of Americans are not radicalized, evil Leftists and realize what a pivotal turning point this in American history. Charlie Kirk was an American hero. Not everyone agreed with every one of his views but he only ever wanted to debate people: they express their views and he express his. He was too successful in this endeavor so someone decided to end his life. This resulted in a clear display of sooooooo many on the Left showing how absolutely overjoyed they are that he was murdered.
For every action, there is a reaction. Charlie Kirk inspired millions of young Americans during his life and likely now will inspire even more in his death. This inspiration will hopefully be in the form of a stalwart resolve to absolutely reject the truly despicable belief system of the Radical Left and their media cheerleaders. But if the Left keeps pushing, God help us all.

Charlie KIrk provided a pressure relief valve for quite a lot of, especially young, people who could be easily radicalised. He allowed the second faction that could possibly develop in a predicted American civil war to maintain their even footing by showing dialogue could take place, so a pressure relief valve for them as well — institutional corrections could take place. The leftists just smashed that valve and then rubbed salt in the wound by dancing on his grave that hasn’t even been dug yet.
As stated, the normies just found out that things really have gotten bad.
As I said previously, this gives certain elements an open door on both sides. The ones on the left will be further emboldened to try something; the ones on the ‘right’ (they aren’t really of the right in my opinion but they are labelled as such) feel that this is their moment to encourage more moderate people to come over to them. Accelerationists are seeing their big chance.
Never look at the actual event itself; look at the patterns (Kirk’s assassination was just one even in a series as of late: the girl on the subway, the children killed, the people killed by illegals) — and the patterns that have been developing have never, historically speaking, been peaceful. The government will have to reckon with this going forward.
And yes, the left will keep pushing; the public face is already trying to spin this; the more radical groups are seeing this as a huge win. This little stunt painted the public face further into a corner and also lost them some more support from ‘normies’ (many liberals won’t flock to the Republicans, but they may decide to opt out — but what they won’t do is join up with the leftist radicals). Increased violence is about all they have left; they did this to themselves, but it isn’t going to be great for any of us.
I remember this site used to have a byline: ‘when the national socialists come out to protest the international socialists, you don’t pick a side…” (or something of that nature) Well, the meteor isn’t coming, and the only thing standing in the way of picking a side has been shot…on multiple occasions. Let’s hope the government can get on top of this and provide some breathing room for Purge Team 2 and not allow Purge Teams 1 and 3 room to operate.

Research on behavioral psychology and radicalization has been going on for decades. With that knowledge and the rise of social media, algorithms can identify thought patterns that can then be used to amplify anti-social behavior of susceptible people. Connect those angry, lost souls with the like minded, push links to more radical ideology and what happens? People exhibit cult like behavior, psychosis and can be more easily nudged into extreme actions while the puppet masters keep their hands clean.
I think that’s why we are seeing political violence rise at such an alarming rate.

There will be no ‘purge’ if the government can help it — it’s sort of the government’s job to ensure law and order; this administration has been trying to fulfill that (and gotten called ‘nazis’ for its troubles).
But, the “what if” has been war gamed out; hence the “Purge Team” appellation. Essentially a scenario was gamed out as to how certain groups would act, affiliate, etc. There are basically three groups (with some small unaffiliated outliers that could go any way, including trying to opt out of it all). The left has become increasingly radicalized over the last few decades and are aligning (quite openly now) with Purge Team 1 (the radical left), Purge Team 3 is the radical ‘right’ (they aren’t conservatives nor Republicans, let’s put it that way) has been increasingly showing its face because the left has been giving it cover by calling very normal people, (Purge Team 2) nazis and politically/socially/economically ostracizing them.
At this time the one saving grace is that Team 2 has the government’s support at this time, but they are increasingly not willing to defend the rights of Team 1 and some are even being pushed towards Team 3 (by the way, Team 3 is loving this, and there’s a lot of not very nice people in that group; some of them are very skilled not nice people, and there are more of them than people realize) out of frustration that nothing is being done institutionally to protect them.
Team 2 is the largest cohort, the most law abiding, the most civic minded and the most moral/ethical but something just snapped for them over the last few weeks. They appear to have had enough.
