An American Leftist visits Japan. Stupidity ensues.
Please tell me, dear readers, how a person can visit Japan and conclude that the Democrats are doing everything correctly in the big American cities.

Yes, Japan has some definitely good qualities, for sure. The homogeneous society is a big part of it, yes, but only because the Japanese were never fooled into bevelling that “diversity is our strength!” (societal diversity is actually chaos….*unity* is strength). Conservative values are an equally large component.
That said, the downside is that they are a defacto police state; personal freedoms are severely curtailed and their ‘justice’ system is a joke. There are better nations to model ourselves after.
plus they have been since a certain sailing ship arrived 1800s and more important continue to be inordinately rayyyycyst, just good at disguising it as culture shock
Yes. We should pattern ourselves after the quasi-socialist Scandinavian countries. Oops … too late. Multi-culti hysteria infected those Nirvanas too. Now half their countries are NO-GO zones … for even the police. Yerda is spinning in her grave …
” We should pattern ourselves after the quasi-socialist Scandinavian countries. Oops … too late. ”
I was about to mention the Scandinavian countries in my original post, but then remembered that Sweden became the rape capital of Europe (and also why that happened). Thought of Switzerland next, but I don’t have any current knowledge of them so I just left it open-ended as ‘better nations’…
The Scandinavians have given us an object lesson on the limits of tolerance. Sadly the Germans, French and Brits missed class that day.
Not a homogeneous people, a rigid hierarchical society. One does not change caste. Everyone stays in their lane. Lesser can be executed without fault from their betters, betters are expected to suicide rather than dishonor their caste.
Not so rigid anymore probably, but I don’t know.

POTUS DJT has some tigresses on his staff.
l LOVE the unhesitating confidence they exude
Demon rat.
It did not need to visit Japan to form that opinion.
The “facts” were already emoted in advance.
Of course everyone knows that Japanese culture and norms are identical to Leftist America…
How does it go?
One cannot argue for a POV change, using facts and logic, with a person who did not arrive at their point of view through the use of those tools.
There is no cure for stupidity.
“The GOP spends just as much money as Democrats do, but they spend on things which destroy, whereas Democrats try to spend on things that unite and make life easier.”
Tells you all you need to know about the man. Destroy or unite. It’s up to you.
Trump spends money like a Developer … bang for the Buck. Cut the overhead costs. Cut the soft costs … put most of your budget into … the thing.
Here’s what this American dimwit abroad didn’t even bother to check.
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1962372/worlds-fastest-train-japan
Yeah … Japan built the FASTEST high speed train in the world for £38B … $51B US. It travels from Tokyo to Nagoya (213 mi.).
And CA has spent HOW MUCH? without a single mile of track laid or trains purchased? CA has spent $15B with little to nothing to show for it … and the $135B budget keeps ballooning.
Yeah, numbskull … the leftists sure know how to milk the taxpayers teat … and never grow a thing from it. Effin idiot.
I’ve been on that train. There is a screen in each car that constantly blinks the speed and they serve a pretty decent meal. The people in Japan are incredibly polite.
My kid took that train trip … and his videos are mind boggling. You’d think they were AI “movie magic” … but it’s REAL … and almost frightening.
The people are polite … and utterly devoted to “presentation” and “ceremony”
Yes, outright banning forest management and sensible water conservation and burning down entire communities makes life demonstrably easier.
For those that don’t know, Krassenstein is a very well known Democratic shit poster, along with his equally stupid brother.
His solution? MOAR Government…..
Well, I could see it if he had visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki in late ’45.
I’ve been to Japan a number of times. If any of you are planning a trip there (which I highly recommend), you should take some time and study their cultural quirks first. There are things you need to know before going there so as not to offend the locals. I can guarantee these people didn’t take the time to do that, or they would know certain truths about the Japanese that play to the items they listed. The trash cans, for example, used to be plentiful. Then the Sarin gas attack took place, so most were removed to prevent another such event. Also, Japanese residents carry a bag with them at all times for their own accumulated trash. They dispose of it at home. This is called “personal responsibility.” That is not a strong concept displayed by Leftists. It requires that they, themselves, actually do something instead of depending on the govt. to do it for them.
About the lack of addicts on the streets. Guess what. Japan doesn’t play when it comes to illegal drug use. You’re going to jail. And, you’re going to stay there. That’s why you won’t see them on the streets in mass. Democrats actually encourage the drug culture behavior. As far as homelessness goes, Japan still acknowledges mental illness, treats it, and keeps those parties unable to provide for themselves due to said illness locked up in sanitariums…just like we USED to do.
High speed rail is a good one. Let’s see. California (Democrat stronghold) has spent $37 Billion on a high speed rail using tax payer money. They have not built a single thing. Instead they used the concept to acquire land via eminent domain (which was likely the focus of the project). Japan has corruption in govt…but nothing like California.
Incidentally, Japan has a very HUGE child trafficking problem based on the sexual exploitation business. These leftist idiots were just being stupid, and forming generalized opinions on the issue based on unrelated issues.
One final comment. I’m a 6’6″ white guy. When I walked down Omotesando street in Tokyo, I had a line of people following me around, running up and taking selfies, and even two police officers following me around to keep the crowds at bay. The Japanese culture is very prim and proper on some things, but absolutely barbaric on others.
These people are just ignorant and living in their own little leftist world.
my parents went to expo 70 in Osaka. my pa was over 6′.
a giant by local standards, a big hit with the kids.
he brought home a really nice car radio so l hooked it up to a car battery on the kitchen table BOOM BOOM BOOM oddly he didnt trust me to do likewise in the vehicle.
Thanks Orsin, good info. Do you know enough to know if social mobility is possible there?
Yes…and not having spent and exorbitant amount of time there other than a few business trips and a couple vacations, it’s hard to categorize their upward mobility. I can tell you that education plays an important part, and merit is more important in Japan than most places. But, just like anywhere else, opportunity and availability sets the bar. I got the sense that upward mobility is associated with happiness and success, and lower mobility (in other words taking a position based on a passion for the job) is frowned upon. THAT, is most definitely a cultural nuance of Japan. They still have hierarchies, but nothing like is was pre- WW2.
My personal thoughts on Japan is keep an eye on them in the near future economically. They are starting to lean back towards nationalism and away from progressivism. They are, also, branching out again to form nation partnerships with some of the largest companies. Nippon Steel is a great example…which just entered into a deal with US Steel a few months ago.
Good to know. There are two Japanese professionals in the group I work with. One seems to plan to stay here. I didn’t know if it was a professional limit or just a choice. The other comes from a higher station and will return after a year.
The train system in Japan are privately built, owned and operated. Japan is literally the complete 100% opposite of what libtard boomers want.
“Please tell me, dear readers, how a person can visit Japan and conclude that the Democrats are doing everything correctly in the big American cities.”
They’re lying. That’s how.
Japan is a high-trust, forced-conformity society where you WILL COMPLY with the various edicts and accepted norms, or you will -suffer-.
Also not a great place to be female. Just sayin’.
All these things being the obvious polar opostite of DemocRat “do your own thing” hippie stupidity. Also does not have much place for Individualism, entrepreneurship or any of the other “get out of my way I’m working here” and “get off my lawn” freedom we are used to in N. America. In Japan the neighbors have a say in how your lawn is, and they will come and bang on your door ever day until they approve of what you’ve done.
I wouldn’t mind -visiting- Japan, but living there? Nope. Because get off my lawn.
“Also not a great place to be female. Just sayin’. ”
Especially in the porn industry (or so I’m told…;).
Also, does Japan still have a huge suicide rate? Do school children still kill themselves over bad grades?
I believe Japan also has an extensive underground, but covertly accepted sex industry.
I have heard that Japan suck even more for men. Roles and rules are identified. After marriage sex pretty much comes to a stop and men hand over the whole paycheck to the wife who manages family economy. Husband get an allowance. This is also why they hide from their wives the bonus they get each year and use it for some fun. There’s a reason why there is a thriving sex economy and some of the more… creative porn on the planet. And alcoholism, drones working themselves to death. But hey, let’s enjoy some Japanese commercials and sense on humour:

Who’s the guy beside him in the picture?
I just got back from about 2 weeks there for the first time. I’ve not totally internalized all the differences, but consistently each individual regardless of their station in life honored the work they were doing. Be it an attendant in a garage or store, they wore a uniform and it was impeccable. I lost my mind on the first day at the immaculate cleanliness of all the civic vehicles. Each trash vehicle looked like it just rolled off an assembly line. It is the only place I’ve visited where I immediately determined I need to go back for longer…
One trash truck was compacting and they had wheel chocks in place during the evolution. They know standards and follow them.
My son went there numerous times. Fast food: fast. He ordered on a keyboard curried chicken and 23 seconds later it he got it piping hot. He timed it. He got a Hotel room in Hiroshima overlooing the T bridge and sent me the pic. He knew I’d know where/what that was.
Japanese Admiral Ozawa was 6’7″, very ugly and his nickname was “The Gargoyle” (Onigawara).
Trains are on their me to the minute
In Japan, the concept of shame and accountability is still a thing, so they couldn’t be any further away from “no personal responsibility” leftism of the Democrats.
