  1. I’ve noticed this growing trend, a long line of wheel chairs at the ready during our disembarkation. I’ve also noticed a newer trend. Over half the plane lines up in Zone 1. By the time the business class passengers get on the plane its over half full.

  2. Not news, seen this thing starting to happen in Canada probably 20 years back.
My parent was a greeter at the local airport and was aware of many of their little “tricks”. Once away from the gate, they’d spring from their chairs anew, as though touched by the hand of a ‘healer’.

  3. Note that the actual permanent wheelchair users have this group in front of them while readying to embark.
And that airports (within the federal jurisdiction) are not doing anything to stop these people from doing so.

  4. I have seen this first hand, and didn’t understand what was going on. AND, it’s not just airports and flights. They do the exact same thing at large grocery stores. Always grabbing the motorized handicapped grocery cart. It makes you want to shout “FIRE!!!” just to see what happens.

This is creepy and weird…and a little funny. It’s, also, the first step on another plateau of “why we can’t have nice things.”

  5. Why are we letting so many cripples into the country? We are no longer wealthy enough to care for them. Also, if they have no evidence of an infirmity why are they being given a wheelchair? I’m all for helping the disabled but grifters need to be called out and punished.
