Our institutions have been diminished to the point of no longer being trustworthy; our “democracy” is a sham. But this has been a bumbling, haphazard slide into irrelevance. That’s the official narrative, but the tallies from each ballot box are probably “aggregated” electronically, and from there probably “aggregated” again among all the polling stations within a constituency. And then how are the vote tallies within all the constituencies collected “centrally” by the Chief Returning Officer, on a chalkboard in a basement in Parliament Hill? Come on.

        Other than the political scrutineers overseeing the individual ballot counting, has there ever been a transparent, public audit performed by independent forensic auditors of the entire tallying process from beginning to end?

        1. Correct. Back in the late 90’s I worked on building a campaign website for the Liberal party (I know… I know… That was BEFORE my conversion), and we tied into Elections Canada feed, and I can say that’s pretty much how it works.

          There are so many entry points to take advantage of if someone really wanted to corrupt the process.

  18. The best option for Canada at the moment is for Trudeau to remain in power and let the hatred towards him and his policies continue to accumulate until the NDP finally realize they cannot stand the reeking stench any longer and an election is called.

    The only contenders the Liberal hierarchy would accept are Freeland or Carney. Carney would be far worse than Trudeau as he has climate religion baked in , is fully on board with the WEF and is intelligent. Freeland has a problem with reality and numbers , but is smart enough politically to get herself on the WEF board of directors. Morneau won’t be allowed back because recently he has criticized Trudeau and Liberal policies.

    Another reason Trudeau is unlikely to step down or be removed is the Liberal Party has painted itself into a corner by allowing the Liberal Party to morph into the Trudeau Party and they cannot reverse course on Trudeau’s (WEF) Net Zero lunacy.

      Furthermore, he’s been blessed with exceptionally poor competition, (even with his success Harper was a poor campaigner), and he’s had the press in his hip pocket. Even leading the institutional government party, Junior hasn’t won the popular vote for the last two elections and his vote percentages are the lowest of any PM in history, even Joe Clark’s.

If he leaves before the election we get stuck with some ‘new, improved Liberal’ and there will enough idiots in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes that will be conned to vote for the new Liberal.
