Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Those on the “left” accept that which they vilify those on the “right” for pointing out. Their hypocrisy is stunning.
it’s Washington, lots of rules, regulations and laws, now openly flouted by all.
As this spreads to the rest of D controlled locations, the rest of us prepare to repel invaders.
Just keep your head while the rest lose theirs.
Meanwhile, the subway in New York is becoming so unsafe no sane person would want to ride it, free or not.
You couldn’t pay me to ride the TTC. You’re much safer on a motorcycle in Toronto traffic. The dregs and the junkies generally stay to the sidewalks and the subways.
Just saw an ad on TV promoting ‘The Better Way’. Bad timing, wouldn’t you say?
“You couldn’t pay me to ride the TTC.”
Me either. One would have to go to toronto to do that and that ain’t happening.
The arrogant elite on display in the replies.
“We are entitled to our entitlements.”
Now do Ottawa…
oh wait, never mind. They all have limos, eh?
“Sounds like you didn’t eat farts as I specifically asked, Ms. Andrews.”
Hoity-toity indeed.
Try to explain that when someone steals a fare or shoplifts an item, it also affects both the employees and the paying customers.
and they won’t care to understand
Just yesterday a TTC riding 20 year old Toronto woman, that likely paid, was rushed to hospital after being repeatedly stabbed in the face on a streetcar by a stranger, that probably didn’t pay.
Fare evasion kills!
Montreal once bragged of serving something like 1.2 million fares on the metro alone per day.
I did some math, and it turned out that the fares collected were about twice the budget of the entire Montreal transit system, so it was basically just another cash-cow for the city.
Their bragging posters were up for less than 3 days.
