In this video, we learn that one woman’s sleep habits are apparently much more important than the bodily autonomy free speech rights of millions of Canadians.

  4. This testimony suggests the inquiry will be focused on the convoy and NOT the decision to use the Emergency Measure Act, or whatever it is called.

        Of course it will! This inquiry isn’t about the Emergency Measures Act, nor the Party in Power, nor the Prime Minister, and never was – it’s a public forum on all the racist misogynist anti-vaxx truckers and their defiance of Dear Leader, and the whole thing will boil down to “Well yes he shouldn’t’ve used the Act for that, but they deserved it because they weren’t doing what they were told!”

        I mean, a relative of mine says that the little old lady with the walker deserved to be ridden-down by the riot squad horses because “she should’ve know what to expect” { – “You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your relatives” – }, so I further predict that all Canadians who bother to state an opinion on the Inquiry (or at least, all Canadians who the CBC and Global ask) will be 100% on-board with the Inquiry’s conclusions – which almost certainly have already been written, signed by the P.M. and placed in front of the panel before their first sitting day. As much integrity as the Dems’ Jan 6 Inquiry, and for the same reason…

      1. Many people in Ottawa, not pro-convoy, went down and visited it to see what was going on, and understood there was no risk of violence or revolution etc. and became sympathetic to the no-mandate cause of the truckers.

        1. Like many, I watched hours of live footage from multiple sources not associated with the convoy and it looked like a peaceful celebration to me. It was heartwarming and the government’s response was disgraceful. Everything they do is disgraceful. Which Liberal had the Nazi flag on hand to pull that stunt? my guess is the purple perogie and it was a family heirloom.

    3. Well invoking martial law was allegedly necessary to address the events in Ottawa so the inquiry should get a record of what these events were. After that the inquiry should determine whether these events did in fact meet the criteria in the War Measures Act (were they nation threatening events?), the pre-conditions met and that there were no other tools (existing policing, existing laws) available to address such the national threat.

      OPP has stated already (day 1) that the events could have been handled by them without even a need to invoke Ontario’s emergency act yet alone the War Measures Act. SK and AB have already said (day 1) that the pre-conditions were not met (not consulted). Trudeau and his cabinet (and cheerleader Ford) better hope that this judge is a partisan hack or they are in deep shit.

  11. So she went out and got an injunction and the protestors obeyed it. Then the protestors had bonfires in sub-zero weather and roasted a pig. I can see why Liberals are concerned the protestors were going to overthrow the government. After all, that’s exactly the sort of thing that caused the collapse of Czarist Russia, wasn’t it?!? Oh no, wait, that was a series of catastrophic defeats in WWI and attack by armed professional revolutionaries. Well, that’s sort of like a pig roast, isn’t it?

  12. In connection with Brian Peckford’s lawsuit Keith Wilson has elicited testimony from Canada’s top scientists that they did NOT recommend vaccine passports. The decision was purely political. I assume Wilson will find a way to work that into this inquiry.

    The fact that putting travel restrictions on Canadians was CLEARLY outside the our Charter rights will lend credence to the truckers’ position.
