Given what I know about the Canadian political classes, I didn’t expect any of them to call out Blubber Dougie on his renewed advocacy of economic suicide for Canada. But who put duct tape over the mouths of our captains of industry? Any miner that shut off legally contracted mineral exports to the US would be successfully sued in a matter of hours and go bankrupt within days.
“He underestimates Canada. We’re all in,” Ford said. “Up here, we’re at a fever pitch, everyone’s in for an economic war. They know they’re going to have to sacrifice.”
Ford said “everything is on the table” if the dispute worsens, including cutting off electricity and critical minerals from Ontario. He also called for Canada to consider using oil and potash as leverage.
“I’ll cut them off,” Ford said of critical minerals. “You won’t get a grain of sand out of Ontario.”

Is this guy Ford retarded?
The US buys a small amount of electricity from Canada but it almost all goes to NE states run by the Dems so that is no worry for Trump.
Meanwhile a US pipeline “cutoff” leaves Quebec/Ontario without 50% of their normal natural gas supply.
“Is this guy Ford retarded?”
Yes.
Yes he is.
bluddy
Quit giving Fatso good press!
GYM quit giving randoms blowies.
As to your initial question, yes, Ford is retarded.
“You won’t get a grain of sand out of Ontario.”
Damn, and here we thought we could ship down South the enshittified sand all over Wasaga Beach.
” the enshittified sand”
The term you’re grasping for is -beshitten-. adjective.
Beshittin is the future tense of shit as in If I went to Wasaga, I’d beshittin on the sand.
As for Ford and Carney they must love this single issue voter meme. Just throw out some raw Trump meat and Canadians go zombie angry for it.
Fat Dougie … Ronald Reagan again? Seriously? You’re doubling-down on that?
It’s not 1987 any longer. The Communist Chinese weren’t making all the shit America is buying … and a ton of it hidden through Canadian handling of it … in 1987. Try to keep up Fat Dougie. And BTW Reagan DID impose tariffs and quotas on Japanese cars and motorcycles despite his speech (words, not actions) denouncing tariffs.
Hey Fat Dougie! You may become a Fat Angel if you don’t start flying Trans-Love Airways …
https://youtu.be/-GgUyjQ3Lpk?si=hGHgM4UQSSscHP0x
Sounds like the acid trip Fat Dougie must be flying on …
“cutting off electricity and critical minerals from Ontario”
Critical, electricity?
Premier Ford should not threaten American security.
“Up here, we’re at a fever pitch”
Mass hysteria. Never a good thing.
“Up here ,we’re at a fever pitch” . We really have no clue what was turned down. Very few do. So do you think the Michelin Balloon has read the agreement? I know where I would put my money.
What? Dr. Dougie Fever Pitch reads? You must be shitten me,
“Critical, electricity?
Premier Ford should not threaten American security.”
He already tried that once, then was informed that it would be considered *an act of war* to do so. He quickly turned tail and scurried away.
Ontario does supply minerals. Canada accounts for around 15-20% of all minerals imported by the U.S.; the U.S. trade accounts for about 45% of Canadian exports.
But just cutting us off would probably be a bad idea; cutting off valuable components to the military supply chain of a country (an ally no less! one whose military protects your country even!) engaged in a war (or military operation), especially when there may be rather good evidence that you’ve been playing footsie with the enemy by helping them to snow wash money and evade our sanctions…well that could get rather awkward.
And cutting off the power would just be taking it further/making things too obvious.
The mineral supply chain is complicated and just because a mineral originates in Canada does not mean Canada has the means to prevent it from being exported into the US. But Americans do have to be careful because you have little to no mineral processing facilities in your country any longer. You can buy from Canada, Europe or even China. Pick your poison.
On the electricity front, Ontario imports from and exports to America. I assume it is a balanced thing depending on need, so Ontario would be cutting off its nose to spite America’s face. Not a smart plan. Also, Canadian crude flows through the US onto its way to Canadian refineries. Again, not good to poke the sleeping dog.
I believe Canada (Ontario) stands to lose big on the auto trade which at first blush is protected against tariffs by CUSMA. Provoking the US plays well in Canada because the country is full of idiots who are unaware of our trade dependence. Imagine how those Mexican vegetables get to Canada in trucks. For now…
“You can buy from Canada, Europe or even China. Pick your poison.”
Or Mexico, or South America.
Your point about refining minerals is good, and also applies to oil in a way: right now the American refineries are set up to process Alberta heavy crude, but they can be modified to process their own domestic oil or other imports if need be.
Line 5 which supplies Ontario refineries would be shut down….and so too would the Ontario economy. Ontario was also a net IMPORTER of electricity in 2024. BC gets large volumes of refined products out of Washington State and it also gets electricity from Washington State especially during periods of drought. The stupidity of people like Ford is breathtaking.
The Line 5 closure will be spectacular. I cannot wait.
Doug Ford should certainly be allowed to cut off all the crude oil, natural gas and potash that his province produces and ships to the United States. Which, of course is zero crude oil, zero natural gas and zero potash. I doubt he’ll convince Alberta and Saskatchewan, who actually produce those products, to join in with his temper tantrum.
The assumption is that Premier Ford is Carney’s anti-American spokesmen, just like Premier Kinew and Premier Eby. Carney tells them to jump, they say how high sir. Then Carney’s Liberal Party gives them billions of Canadian taxpayer money.
Details details … LOL
Yeah, Fat Phuck Ford thinks Alberta and Saskatchewan are western Ontario
I think that’s a common central and eastern Canada belief since 1905. Why Alberta and Saskatchewan continue to allow politicians who live 3000 km+ away treat our two provinces so unfairly and control our economic policies for over 120 years is the real mystery.
“…gives them billions of Canadian taxpayer money”, most of which comes from Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Alberta and Saskatchewan seem to be the only two provinces without a big anti-American mouth.
Kabuki Theater.
It’s a half-assed attempt to promote a fiction to manufacture leverage. The leverage isn’t there. It’s not believable. Carney can either totally capitulate and the tariffs are lessened (not removed). Or he can continue with the charade at which point the US will trigger the 6 month termination countdown on the USMCA and handle trade with Canada and Mexico separately (which is Trump’s desired result).
China gets kicked in the teeth on the latter scenario because China is dependent on sending their wares to Canada for production completion, whereby Canada then sends these completed products south into the US so China can avoid higher tariffs. They’d like to try the same thing with EV’s, but that’s not going to happen.
As I see it, Canada’s best path is one that is virtually impossible. That would be investing heavily in restarting their own industry base. This is impossible because of all the “Green Policy Regulations” championed by the Liberal Party (and they won’t reverse that course). Self inflicted slow suicide.
As an addendum. Toyota and Honda operate out of Ontario. They’ll leave when things wind up. Just watch.
Orson
I’v went by Honda a few times lately(since this joke circus got started) and the employee parking lot was empty every time.
Japan has already said they’d pull their manufacturing plants out of Ontario. It was an off the books agreement when Nippon Steel was allowed to acquire US Steel in the US while allowing US Steel to continue operating domestically pretty much the same and keeping their name.
Japan is likely the best and most reliable ally of the US these days.
“Japan is likely the best and most reliable ally of the US these days.”
Thanks to their PM/President, who rocks. She plays drums, likes metal, got drumsticks from her hero, the Deep Purple drummer, and she enjoyed her visit to the White House.
That is the shit we need geopolitically speaking.
Trawling gloryholes in Alliston GYMmy?
“Canada’s best path is one that is virtually impossible. That would be investing heavily in restarting their own industry base. This is impossible because of all the “Green Policy Regulations” championed by the Liberal Party (and they won’t reverse that course).”
True. And even without the deliberate impediments, it would take years to design and build such facilities. Canada just doesn’t have that kind of time…our economy will crumble long before that.
Fun fact
You don’t try to dictate rules for admission when you beg like hell to get admission to the club.
In this case, why did we ever decide to enter into “free trade” with the US?
Because ever since the US became the US the northernmost colony that refused to join the US has been living off of trade with the US.
Reciprocity isn’t a new concept and it was the one the free trade advocates promoted as a way to go into business with the US without supposedly becoming part of the US.
But I digress
The FTA came to frutition after Mulroney sold the Regan administration on the idea that allowing more manufacturing in Canada to supply the US market was a good thing (ignoring the fact that Canada’s appeal was the currency differential and access to the US market for foreign manufacturing without having to operate in the US).
The point being is that we want access to the US market without restrictions but without the obligations of being part of the US market.
“The FTA came to frutition after Mulroney sold the Regan administration on the idea that allowing more manufacturing in Canada to supply the US market was a good thing ”
Then came the bait-and-switch of NAFTA, which I would *never* have voted for. Mexico has no place in a free trade agreement between Canada and the USA….the labour/environmental/worker safety playing fields are too vastly different.
The original Canadian trade team sent to confront Donald Trump. Totally serious. Not a joke. That’s them.

The stubby purple one is now a part of your PM’s “U.S. Stakeholder Strategy” — a group that includes the U.S. Democrat Maia Johnson and your charming and delightful Minister Jolie (the one who went around the country talking to Democrats rather than focusing on a trade agreement for you). The midget Grimace is touting her last bout of successful dealings with the Americans as a way to ‘get’ my country now.
Fat Doug is merely one of the mouthpieces for that strategy, aimed at the American people to try and influence the midterms.
Of course, I’m rather hoping it will backfire on them in all sorts of ways (and it just might).
Or: don’t keep threatening us with a good time
Hey! I give the new purple one a lot of credit! … for choosing a *ahem* … looser silhouette dress profile. LOL
Gotta lose the same mean-face. Sheesh … she looks like a WNBA player.
Have you noticed that those well paid, that will actually not sacrifice a dime of their own are telling the others that the sacrifice will be good for you?
I am reminded of that fictional king, Farquad, who stated:
Some of you may die, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
Carney, Fat Trudeau, and the rest of the resistance have no skin in the game. The people hurt by this are the people who have jobs dependent on trade with the USA.
Carney has most of his investments outside of Canada, and the taxpayers guarantee his salary, as well as stuffing his face with luxury food which is out of the price range of most Canadians.
Slug Ford, Coke face Kinew and E-BC need to STFU and CTV & CBC need to ratchet down all their feigned outrage. Everyone of the Premiers and every media outlet, and every Canadian should be demanding Carney show Canadians the deal. Liberals are always proclaiming to be the “new and most transparent government”; well show us the goods.
this whole course of events is reminiscent of the mindset of a hardened criminal, organized crime boss type, whereby the question is all the attention, resources, management skills, personnel and CONSTANT monitoring . . . . . . why not just go the legit route? you dont have to ‘whack’ anyone, just use your business skills to outsmart them and then buy them out with their own money.
but no, P.M. Carnage has to take the very rough unpaved route thru the wilderness as a ‘show of strength’, oh such great negotiating skills, foresight and historic perspective there Carnage.
same goes for blubber dougie.
and *still* it could all be DELIBERATE, and just a matter of ‘fine tuning’ to stay on track towards collapsing the economy and a handy scapegoat.
l cant shake that ‘conspiracy theory’ grade notion.
FFF is just like GYM, does not know when to STFU.
Hi Jessica’s COLON!
Perfect example…
Daddy clearly didn’t beat you enough. Something else perhaps?
The colon fixation, creepshow.
Surely Colon Fixation Creepshow are playing at a bar in the Beltline this weekend? I’m sure I saw a poster.
been researching the infamous turdeau 2.0 quote ‘quebecers are better’.
the spin is he was just describing turdeau 1.0 view. IT DOES NOT PRECLUDE that it is also his *own* viewpoint.
https://nationalpost.com/opinion/john-robson-trudeau-slips-up-and-reveals-his-preference-for-quebec-again
https://youtu.be/8igrMJ9L4po
and STILL they voted him into PMO 3 times
Notwithstanding the fact that canada is stuck with Marx Carnage and Blubber Doughboy shooting off their yaps like the village idiots they are , one of the underlying issues in this trade dispute comes down to language protection for the fine citizenry of Queeeebec and the sacred cow of supply management . That supply management system has cost Canadian consumers untold millions so that a few privileged dairy farmers can lay on some Florida beach like a pod of beached whales . Retirement for them is auctioning off of the the quotas and living happily ever after . BTW …millions of litres of milk are poured down the drain each year . Canada is done …stick a fork in it .
Seems as though my President has responded to your premier:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/trump-smacks-back-ontario-premier-183016627.html
Very nice Mr. President
Nice shot at “Flunky” by bringing up brother Rob, lol.
I believe that Ontario/Canada has lost wayyyyy more manufacturing to China than the US, but Fatso and Marx don’t give a beshitten grain of sand.
The Chinks get to imprison Canadians on – heh – trumped up charges, cut off imports arbitrarily and steal intellectual property (remember [Northern Telecom] Nortel?) and nobody in Canada does shit. Now they interfere in elections, have their own police stations here, threaten Canadians on their own soil and probably have tens of thousands of spies and soldiers here. Then they “win” contracts to supply BC Ferries?
Where is Fatso on all that?
But, but but … Ronald REAGAN!!! 1987 !!!!
I amuse myself.
“But who put duct tape over the mouths of our captains of industry?”
What? Do you think they want to spoil their chances of grabbing more subsidies and grants?
Crony capitalists … the lot of em!
A DSA feature, not a bug. Democratic! Socialism … this time
“YIP! YIP YIP YIP! GRRRRR! YIP YIP YIP!”
-D. Ford, 2026..
Grunt, grunt, grunt! FART! Grunt grunt grunt!
Dr. Fever Pitch Ford, 2026.
Who cleans his beshitted extra large underwear?
He’s like Carney’s hapless dog getting slapped by Foghorn Leghorn.
“We’re at a fever pitch.”
Speak for yourself, inflamed Liberal hemorrhoid.
“Ford is a Progressive Conservative whose party is different than that of Carney, a Liberal…”
Yeah. Like shit and crap. Thanks for the knee-slapper.
Yup.
Ford = constipated Lincoln Log with corn, representing a ‘provincial’ view.
Carney = diarrhetic slurry with con, representing a ‘global’ spew.
All shit back, all the way down.
We need a big plunger to clear this toilet.
Was Blackie being subtle in home depot?
1 – Ford is:
a) catering to the low -info CBC/CTV/Global crowd; and,
b) running an idea up the public platform for testing (Carney’s export tax on Alberta /Sask energy products).
2 – for rather more on this – see my substack (Paul530)..
Oh I can see it now , watching you tube and more commercials from the Dougie , and Carney.
Just garbage propaganda.
Pathetic …..
