Why aren’t these geniuses devoting their time and energy to something useful and needed? Like non-stick soles on workboots – so that guys like me don’t have to unlace at the door to keep mud off the kitchen floors.

The year I quit smoking I bought tobacco seed and was going to take up gardening. I quit instead. People grew it in the 1930s in Alberta. I’m not sure how successfully given our short season but if you started a hundred or two pots inside in January?? Some provinces might have regulations – Ontario allows 15 kg – barely enough – if you luck out you can double up with a non-smoking spouse. I see huge opportunities for the Mohawks.

My first thought was who thinks this stuff up? Second thought was who are the people around them agreeing? Final thought was why does the government think that eliminating nicotine from legal cigarettes will lead people to quit smoking? Why not take the oxy out of oxycontin then?
This makes me wonder about the “myth” that arose about the inverse relationship between smoking and COVID. Nicotine protected people from the bug, some said. Now nicotine is being banned like Ivor Mectin and other useful therapies. Hmmm.

Years ago when I smoked, low tar/nicotine cigarettes just had me smoking twice as much. To get the same effect you would have to smoke more. I also would put Scotch Tape on the “vents” around the filter.
Could be a ruse to sell more tobacco and collect more taxes.

Banning and making drugs illegal works so well. Prohibition, pot, heroin, cocaine, crack, etc. Can’t find any of that on the streets anymore, especially not in blue areas.
When you realize what the true goal of prohibition is, you notice that it works very, very well.
Nicotine is a depressant. In large doses it is fatally toxic.
In the days before “Green Dreams” (Lethabarb), it was used to euthanase animals.
The tars and particulates are what ruin the lungs.
People smoke because of the “drug” effect of the nicotine, the lung-clogging particulates and tar are just supplementary.
Zero-nicotine smokes are about as functional as zero-alcohol beer and wine, , but MUCH worse for your general well-being.
