Holy catburgers.
Svend “silver fingers” Robinson just criticized the NDP.
https://twitter.com/SvendJRobinson/status/1494066707165552647
Credit where due I guess.
I am very pleasantly surprised.
Is there any division in the NDP core?
A lot of dippers are antivaxx and all of the greens are. I’d say there’s problems in the NDP caucus too.
The Sikh Separatist Party isn’t by it’s nature a cheerleader for bid pharma and fascism. This isn’t the communist party of Tommy Douglas.
I’ve just looked through many of the comments to Svend’s tweet. Some support him but wayyyyyyyy too many indicate that today’s Leftist mind is stupid to the extreme, naive beyond belief, and not capable of realizing what would happen if a future government they disagree with were to take exactly the same improper actions of their boyz, Justin & Jagmeet.
Canada will at some point in the future be the recipient of the World’s Greatest Darwin Award. And it couldn’t go to a more deserving collection of worthless bastards, entitled morons, and neurotic *ssholes.
They are now living off the accumulated wealth and prosperity of the real producers from generations past.
The majority parasite class that have taken their place will be eating each other alive after they’ve exhausted the legacy bequeathed them.
This country has riches way beyond 37ish million need.
We have wasted so much resources both natural and renewal we should be ashamed.
The takers are the problem. A plumber will move the world foreword. More so than many keyboard heroes. The parasites with their woke ideas and bike lanes and banning plastic straws in the prairies so they don’t end up in the ocean crowd could sure use a famine. Me thinks they will get one with outright contempt for the “trucker “ freedom rally.
The restrictions will be lifted. Right? So why not now? That people is what Justin is fighting over. Keeping covid restrictions. Please keep that in mind. If not now….. when?
Or is blackface trying to keep restrictions? Yeah. See if you like that in forever more years.
People supporting Justin……. Just wow.
Rant over. Last beer in fridge gone. I’ll be at work tomorrow. But ready for nation wide strike.
A poem by my favorite Polish poet, Zbigniew Herbert. It explains why Poles refused to comply with communist dogmas. Took me a bit to translate, as online translations tend to lose the flavor. I have preserved the original structure, the lack of punctuation and occasional capitalization. I think the author would find posting this today rather timely, hope you like it.
With dedication to Tamara Lich and other freedom protesters in Ottawa.
The Power of Taste
It really didn’t require great character at all
our refusal discord and resistance
we had a shred of necessary courage
but fundamentally it was a matter of taste
Yes taste
in which there are fibers of soul the cartilage of conscience
Who knows if we had been tempted better and more attractively
sent rose-skinned women thin as a wafer
or fantastic creatures from Hieronymus Bosch paintings
but hell at this time was banal
a wet pit a murderers’ alley a barrack
called a palace of justice
moonshine Mephisto in Lenin’s jacket
sent Aurora’s grandchildren into the field
boys with potato faces
very ugly girls with red hands
indeed their rhetoric was pathetic
(Marcus Tullius was spinning in his grave)
chains of tautology couple concepts like flails
dialectic of torturers no refinement in thinking
syntax without the beauty of subjunctive
So esthetics can be helpful in life
the study of beauty should not be neglected
Before we declare our consent we must carefully examine
the shape of the architecture the rhythm of drums and pipes
official colors the despicable ritual of funerals
Our eyes and ears refused obedience
the princes of our senses have proudly chosen exile
It really didn’t require great character at all
we had a shred of necessary courage
but fundamentally it was a matter of taste
Yes taste
Which orders to get out pull a face throw a sneer
even if it might cause a loss of body’s priceless capital
the head
A fine poem. We need inspiring messages right now.
Trudeau’s Stasi may be able to arrest a few individuals but will they have the gumption to push through 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 peaceful protesters holding the line? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSsa0iEWIGU
As best as I can tell, Tamara has so far only been charged with “counselling to commit mischief”. Potato needed Marshal Law in order to charge the top terrorist ringleader with “counselling to commit mischief”.
Let that sink in.
Funny, but I halfways expected Potatohead to insist on Sedition charges, and televised trials ,ala Nazi trials for Von Stauffenburg, with an over the top hectoring judge (Butts).
These charges, mischief (!) make a mockery of the EMERGENCY declaration.
Mischief charges could have been laid on Day 1, 2, 3, etc…….there is no logical reason, other than sympathetic cops not wanting to bother. And, for that reason, also subterfuges any civil suit that has been threatened at the Truckers. The economic damages were caused by the City, by their inaction.
Those of us in BC have been subject to various blockades and “peaceful protests” for years. The worst charges, if ever laid at all, were…………..MISCHIEF!
TRUDEAU, NODDINGHEAD, LAMETTI, THEATRE OF THE ABSURD!
Your PM is the Terrorist. He’s never been keen on filing bogus charges that will be summarily dismissed by the Courts … but he wants to empower that angry stunt, Freelander, to seize bank accounts, and donated $$$M’s. That’s all your PM wanted … to rain, err snow Terror down on Canadian Conservatives. Canada is utterly LOST to the family of Free Nations so long as these purely EVIL people RULE over your Nation.
“counselling to commit mischief”
That has a $100 fine written all over it unless you get a Trudeau Nazi judge. Then it is a 2 year sentence misdemeanor.
Lawfare is just beginning: https://ottawasun.com/news/local-news/convoy-class-action-claim-increased-to-306m-as-downtown-restaurateurs-join-lawsuit/wcm/383867c0-228b-4193-9176-fd2448e78651
The process is the punishment.
$300-million for noise and parking by-law infractions.
No way that is going to succeed, even in Liberal Canada.
I’ve got to say, those photos by Dan Aponte are gorgeous. Real people, beautifully photographed.
The salt of the earth.
The best of us.
I very much agree. I pride myself on my photography but have never been able to capture portraits as amazing as his!
Gawd, I can’t stand ’em. The photographs, that is. Every single one of them is completely unflattering to the subject.
Technically (objective), they’re shot too low, you find yourself looking up their nostrils, they’re shot too close, the wide angle lens makes their noses look like Trudeau’s and their shoulders disappear, there’s no fill light, many have raccoon eyes (note the gentleman above).
Aesthetically (subjective), I’d use a shallower depth of field to blur the BG more, I don’t like the skin tones, they all look like they just came out of a tanning booth (It’s the middle of winter!), I don’t like the cookie cutter repetition and I prefer the intimacy of a direct look at the camera.
On a positive note (objective), the placement of the light is good & so is the use of a diffuser of some sort. It softens the shadows.
There’s more to be said, but I’ll leave it there.
Dumb Biker,
Thanks for articulating that.
I was wondering why those photos were annoying me.
Hey, Boo.
You’re welcome. I’ve been stewing about that since day one. I briefly visited his website, he claims to be a “street photographer”. Well, OK. A street photographer should still follow photography’s fundamentals. Exercising creativity? Fine. Pushing limits? Go for it. However, never forget the basics.
This slipped under my radar:
Elections Canada: 205,000 mail-in ballots were not counted
https://torontosun.com/news/national/elections-canada-205000-mail-in-ballots-were-not-counted?fbclid=IwAR00THtz5v0Rirr77wvLA8fICAPekTd1PLNGyisEjwk4ik0u91kTQdkzZX0
Elections Canada: 205,000 mail-in ballots were not counted
Interesting. I was following Elections Canada website for days (and days) after Election Day. Everyone on here was so worried Trudeau would be elected to a minority on vote night, and it would transform American-style to a majority weeks later with the mail-in ballots and the recounts. It’s true that the Liberals went up a percentage point in the popular vote with the mail-in ballots, and they squeaked by all 3 opposition parties in a number of ridings with close counts. Elections Canada said that far fewer mail-in ballots were returned by voters than they had expected. Now they find a quarter mil?
Sounds typically shady.
PS — the counting of the mail-in ballots was incredibly slow. The vote counts were being updated continuously on the official website, but it was going on for days.

It was a nothingburger the last time this was posted here, and it’s a nothingburger now.
The last few weeks at SDA were wonderful, neither you not UnMe polluted the threads. We only had to put up with the dizzy hemorrhoid. Keep up the great work and FOAD
If the Liberals lost it would be a big deal.
Perrin Beatty presenting the Emergencies Act in 1987: https://www.rebelnews.com/defence_minister_perrin_beatty_on_the_proposed_creation_of_the_emergencies_act_november_16_1987
In NO WAY is it applicable to what’s going on right now.
I expect the libranos to make an example of those arrested. Maybe even a show trial. Full weight of the law.
The Bong will want to send a message to the unwashed – don’t you ever try this again!
“I hereby invoke the Emergencies Act and endow myself with extraordinary powers carefully guarded from lesser PMs. Therefore, in accordance with my vast and unchallengeable powers, I charge you with having intent to counsel others to do mischief! Mischief!! The very word is so shameful and hideous it should burn in your ears! I will bring punishment down upon the mischievous! I have spoken! I am Trudeau, The Great And Powerful!”
“Emergency powers” was not about the bouncy castle. It was all about the financial takeover by the surveillance and security apparatus, with full indemnification for the banks. Just like full liability waivers for Big Pharma. The government has created laws for everything, but is itself completely lawless.
As our gracious hostess keeps reminding us: Mischief is important.
Hold the line!
I assume the other trumped up charges will follow after they make them up. Mischief is just the excuse to get them behind closed doors.
I expect they will atone for their sins with a public apology while sitting cross legged on the floor with their hands tied behind their backs and their blindfolds temporarily removed.
They definitely will, if they can. But I sense that the NDP is about to crack. Surely Svend isn’t the only one who sees the disaster this is to the NDP’s legacy.
Jagmeat doesn’t want an election but if any dippers want him out there’s a possibility they’ll crack.
There are probably a few NDP MPs who already qualify for their golden parachute. If any of those MPs are so sick of it all they’d like to take a match to the place, and if any of them are actually sane why wouldn’t they, they could break with their caucus and vote against both Singh and Trudeau. The Samson Option — going out with a big bang. But would an election change anything, or return exactly the same results as the previous two?
Trudeau would get MORE seats.
His fan-boys love his false bravado and the old, non-political folks just want the truckers gone because it interferes with their Weather Network viewing hours. Max will never win a seat, and Pierre Pollievre is a walking Liberal attack ad.
Sad, but true.
I’ve had bosses like that.
Many years ago, one wanted to teach me a lesson I wasn’t supposed to forget. Unfortunately for him, I turned out to be right and he ended up making himself look like a complete idiot. I’m sure that contributed to my being fired a few weeks later.
And now for something completely different:
“Start your climate analysis in 1961 and you get to show a big increase in heat waves. This type of tactic is very supportive of the man-made climate narrative. But the EPA also reveals that If you go back further in the “heatwave” record, their entire man-made climate change analysis falls apart.”
Why should you care?
“We are facing the morphing of Covid lockdowns to Climate lockdowns” Morano said. “They’re going to be limiting our freedoms in order to save the climate.”
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2022/02/14/epa-promotes-u-s-heatwave-increase-since-1960s-while-downplaying-huge-decrease-in-u-s-heatwaves-since-1930s/
Funny thing…..the information on those who donated and were doxxed and the way it was collected and distributed is the “fruit of a poisonous tree”. The doctrine that extends the exclusionary rule to make evidence inadmissible in court if it was derived from evidence that was illegally obtained. There is going to be an awful lot of unintended consequences stemming from this Liberal gong show.
Unless one can prove the government did the hacking and without court permission any evidence is fair game. The cops are under no compulsion to ignore fortuitous evidence illegally obtained by someone else that they had no part in.
Here’s the alleged piece of garbage that claims to have hacked the donor list.
Mental illness on display. Psychopath. ANyone that lives in Toronto should be able to track down this excrement.

As predicted, here’s the new COVID variant that will bring back restrictions:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10455175/New-Covid-variant-BA-2-1-5-times-infectious-Omicron.html
This nonsense is never going to end. Maybe time to visit Ottawa.
“Two weeks to bend the curve!”
“We’re all in this together!”
“Get your seventh jab now!”
“No more friends, no more food, we’ve got you surrounded.”
This is Justination. He’s our new Dictator.
I heard the MP’s arguments in the H of C on Thursday. The Conservatives and Bloc knocked it out of the park and ripped a strip off the Libs. Greens are voting no. The NDP and Liberals merely parroted each other. They were pathetic.
Greens are voting no.
This, along with the observation here yesterday that the Greenies don’t support the “vaxx’s” surprises the hell out of me.
How many Greens are there?
Three.
157/121/32/24/3; L/C/BQ/ND/G
Of course the Greens are voting NO.
Greens don’t want their anti-pipeline protests shut down, and don’t want their foreign donors to stop sending in the cash.
They are terrified of the precedent that this “enforcement” action sets. It is a potentially fatal blow to their entire way of operating.
Looks like “they” hadn’t thought this through. The “truckers” were unpredictable but I would have expected a “Plan B” for something. Now they are playing “catch up”. I hope the truckers have a good quarterback calling the plays. The “truckers” have some high cards in this game, if they are alert. Identity and “teamwork” are big things. The “normies” barely understand the game. Most work and think solo and don’t have a clue. “Individuals” will suffer and die alone.
This will be known as the Justinian period of unrest. He and his crew are running scared, those big rigs are scary.
More scary would be hoards of people taking to the streets, there wouldn’t be room in jails for all those exercising their rights in this democracy.
Don’t know if you’ve been following the court case against Remington firearms stateside. They agreed on a settlement of $73 million and shot themselves in the foot at the same time. This precedent will change how lawsuits are pursued in the future.
The Remington Settlement Is Awful. Let’s Do the Same Thing.
https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/athena-thorne/2022/02/16/the-remington-settlement-is-awful-lets-do-the-same-thing-n1559755
“There is so much wrong with Remington being made liable for the acts of a monster. Shall we hold Ford Motors liable for Darrell Brooks’ decision to ram a maroon 2010 Escape into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wis.? Perhaps Boeing should finally be brought to justice for manufacturing the 767 that Mohamed Atta chose to fly into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.”
The Remington case shouldn’t set precedent. It was bad law that came about because Remington is bankrupt and chose not to fight the case. their insurers are being milked. In law there has to be a more or less direct causal link. The guys mother bought the gun and gave it to a nutcase who killed kids. If his mother didn’t believe him a danger, why should anyone else. Remington likely would have won the lawsuit. If the case went to the Supreme Court, among other things it would likely have been trumped by federal legislation that says you can’t sue arms companies for making guns.
Hey, scar.
Thx for the review, I was aware of some of it.
I hope not. However, with the way shit is going down lately…
Wasn’t somebody just asking why the UN wasn’t involved in the protests? Because they’re too busy supporting real terrorists.

Interesting. While I have zero faith in the legal system, that may be a leg for her lawyer(s) to stand on.
I must confess to a certain amount of surprise at the anti-boomer sentiment occasionally bandied about here. Frankly, I’d never heard, nor experienced that before. Found it puzzling, actually. Not that there aren’t boomers who deserve good, solid criticism if not a slap of reality upside the head, but the writing off of an entire generation? Hmmm…
Bearing that in mind, I was intrigued by the headline enclosed below. After reading the article, I can’t help but wonder if the above-mentioned animosity isn’t at least somewhat misdirected.
What the COVID-19 Pandemic Reveals About Baby Boomers
https://spectator.org/what-the-covid-19-pandemic-reveals-about-baby-boomers/
Sure, a lot of people in today’s decision making process are boomers, but it strikes me that the ones making the lion’s share of poor decisions are, as always, the GD [spit] Progs!!!
Jes’ sayin’.
I don’t think Vladymyr Poutine and Purple Barney are boomers.
So, big fan of Ace of Spades, especially JJ Sefton’s Morning Report. Usually head there right after I play here in Kate’s sandbox. Today, I find a prescient observation that can easily be translated to our case here in Canada (and, in fact, is), and may help keep our chins up.

We are at an inflection point. Biden and his party are sundowning at the polls, even amongst that one dude who cast the bulk of those 80 million votes. Our own alleged politicians in the GOP are either silent or in cahoots with the overthrow and so we now have no option but open resistance. For now, and let us hope and pray it stays this way, it’s non-violent. I think if God forbid violence does erupt, a) it will most likely be a false-flag operation and b) it will be the pretext for a total Castreau-cescu crackdown up there and down here, and everywhere in the once so-called free world.
This is the big one, folks. Have a good weekend.
Bold mine.
Hold the line, people.
Oh, and HONKHONK!!!
Mass graves … a Russian False Flag claim?
Did you catch our limp wristed Sec. of State, Blinken’s speech a the UNSC yesterday? Did you catch the part where he claimed Putin would use “mass graves” as a pretense for War with Ukraine?
“Russia plans to manufacture a pretext for its attack. This could be a violent event that Russia will blame on Ukraine, or an outrageous accusation that Russia will level against the Ukrainian Government. We don’t know exactly the form it will take. It could be a fabricated so-called “terrorist” bombing inside Russia, the invented discovery of a mass grave, a staged drone strike against civilians, or a fake even a real attack using chemical weapons,”
Seems that Leftists understand how useful the discovery of mass graves, err unmarked graves, err something some ground-penetrating radar detected … can be in the world of political theatre. Eh? Always accusing others of what THEY themselves do …

This is it, a wall of COPS are outside the Westin Hotel in Ottawa. There’s a standoff with 75+ cops and Protesters.
Some are yelling “FREEDOM” FREEDOM FREEDOM”.

It’s happening now folks! Handcuffs, loud words …stunning scenes. Cops are handcuffing people!
Protesters are singing Oh Canada!
A convenient delay in the debate/vote on the Emergencies Act. My guess is that the libranos know this isn’t a slam duck. I don’t think they will want to risk losing the vote and will withdraw the legislation before the vote is called. It will all be for naught.
You’ve hit the ball right out of the park with that Ab!
The NDP MP from Montreal, Rosemont- La Petite Patrie, Alexandre Boulerice who spoke in the H of C yesterday was heckled when he said that he was supporting the Emergency Act. The Bloc member who spoke right after reminded him that he was going against Premier Francois Legault who is against the Federal Emergency Act.
The fact that Legault is against what Bongo is doing is a big deal, hence, the convenient delay, as you say.

Grocery shopping update.
Earlier today, I went to the nearby Safeway to buy groceries. The only shortage I noticed was whole wheat flour. There were no 10-kg bags available but there were a number of 5-kg bags of Robin Hood on the shelf, so I settled for one of them. Unfortunately, the price (over $12) was outrageous.
I supported the truckers and protested Prinz Dummkopf’s imperial decree by going through the store bare-faced. Nobody noticed or, if they did, didn’t say anything. I encountered only one other customer in the store who went maskless.
Banking update.
I successfully logged into my bank accounts on-line and paid my first 2022 income tax installment.
After my father died, I took over his account and had it set up for automatic payments for the utilities for my house in B. C. Earlier this week, I was able to pay my Telus and Shaw bills from that.
