Some support him but wayyyyyyyy too many indicate that today’s Leftist mind is stupid to the extreme, naive beyond belief, and not capable of realizing what would happen if a future government they disagree with were to take exactly the same improper actions of their boyz, Justin & Jagmeet.

      1. Canada will at some point in the future be the recipient of the World’s Greatest Darwin Award. And it couldn’t go to a more deserving collection of worthless bastards, entitled morons, and neurotic *ssholes.

        They are now living off the accumulated wealth and prosperity of the real producers from generations past.

  2. A poem by my favorite Polish poet, Zbigniew Herbert. It explains why Poles refused to comply with communist dogmas. Took me a bit to translate, as online translations tend to lose the flavor. I have preserved the original structure, the lack of punctuation and occasional capitalization. I think the author would find posting this today rather timely, hope you like it.

    1. As best as I can tell, Tamara has so far only been charged with “counselling to commit mischief”. Potato needed Marshal Law in order to charge the top terrorist ringleader with “counselling to commit mischief”.
      Let that sink in.

      1. Funny, but I halfways expected Potatohead to insist on Sedition charges, and televised trials ,ala Nazi trials for Von Stauffenburg, with an over the top hectoring judge (Butts).
        These charges, mischief (!) make a mockery of the EMERGENCY declaration.
        Mischief charges could have been laid on Day 1, 2, 3, etc…….there is no logical reason, other than sympathetic cops not wanting to bother. And, for that reason, also subterfuges any civil suit that has been threatened at the Truckers. The economic damages were caused by the City, by their inaction.
        Those of us in BC have been subject to various blockades and “peaceful protests” for years. The worst charges, if ever laid at all, were…………..MISCHIEF!

  5. I’ve got to say, those photos by Dan Aponte are gorgeous. Real people, beautifully photographed.

    1. I very much agree. I pride myself on my photography but have never been able to capture portraits as amazing as his!

    2. Gawd, I can’t stand ’em. The photographs, that is. Every single one of them is completely unflattering to the subject.

      Technically (objective), they’re shot too low, you find yourself looking up their nostrils, they’re shot too close, the wide angle lens makes their noses look like Trudeau’s and their shoulders disappear, there’s no fill light, many have raccoon eyes (note the gentleman above).

      Aesthetically (subjective), I’d use a shallower depth of field to blur the BG more, I don’t like the skin tones, they all look like they just came out of a tanning booth (It’s the middle of winter!), I don’t like the cookie cutter repetition and I prefer the intimacy of a direct look at the camera.

      On a positive note (objective), the placement of the light is good & so is the use of a diffuser of some sort. It softens the shadows.

      There’s more to be said, but I’ll leave it there.

          You’re welcome. I’ve been stewing about that since day one. I briefly visited his website, he claims to be a “street photographer”. Well, OK. A street photographer should still follow photography’s fundamentals. Exercising creativity? Fine. Pushing limits? Go for it. However, never forget the basics.

      Interesting. I was following Elections Canada website for days (and days) after Election Day. Everyone on here was so worried Trudeau would be elected to a minority on vote night, and it would transform American-style to a majority weeks later with the mail-in ballots and the recounts. It’s true that the Liberals went up a percentage point in the popular vote with the mail-in ballots, and they squeaked by all 3 opposition parties in a number of ridings with close counts. Elections Canada said that far fewer mail-in ballots were returned by voters than they had expected. Now they find a quarter mil?

      Sounds typically shady.

      PS — the counting of the mail-in ballots was incredibly slow. The vote counts were being updated continuously on the official website, but it was going on for days.

        1. There are probably a few NDP MPs who already qualify for their golden parachute. If any of those MPs are so sick of it all they’d like to take a match to the place, and if any of them are actually sane why wouldn’t they, they could break with their caucus and vote against both Singh and Trudeau. The Samson Option — going out with a big bang. But would an election change anything, or return exactly the same results as the previous two?

  10. Funny thing…..the information on those who donated and were doxxed and the way it was collected and distributed is the “fruit of a poisonous tree”. The doctrine that extends the exclusionary rule to make evidence inadmissible in court if it was derived from evidence that was illegally obtained. There is going to be an awful lot of unintended consequences stemming from this Liberal gong show.

    1. Unless one can prove the government did the hacking and without court permission any evidence is fair game. The cops are under no compulsion to ignore fortuitous evidence illegally obtained by someone else that they had no part in.

I hope the truckers have a good quarterback calling the plays. The “truckers” have some high cards in this game, if they are alert. Identity and “teamwork” are big things. The “normies” barely understand the game. Most work and think solo and don’t have a clue. “Individuals” will suffer and die alone.

  16. Don’t know if you’ve been following the court case against Remington firearms stateside. They agreed on a settlement of $73 million and shot themselves in the foot at the same time. This precedent will change how lawsuits are pursued in the future.

    1. The Remington case shouldn’t set precedent. It was bad law that came about because Remington is bankrupt and chose not to fight the case. their insurers are being milked. In law there has to be a more or less direct causal link. The guys mother bought the gun and gave it to a nutcase who killed kids. If his mother didn’t believe him a danger, why should anyone else. Remington likely would have won the lawsuit. If the case went to the Supreme Court, among other things it would likely have been trumped by federal legislation that says you can’t sue arms companies for making guns.

  21. I must confess to a certain amount of surprise at the anti-boomer sentiment occasionally bandied about here. Frankly, I’d never heard, nor experienced that before. Found it puzzling, actually. Not that there aren’t boomers who deserve good, solid criticism if not a slap of reality upside the head, but the writing off of an entire generation? Hmmm…

    We are at an inflection point. Biden and his party are sundowning at the polls, even amongst that one dude who cast the bulk of those 80 million votes. Our own alleged politicians in the GOP are either silent or in cahoots with the overthrow and so we now have no option but open resistance.     Did you catch our limp wristed Sec. of State, Blinken’s speech a the UNSC yesterday? Did you catch the part where he claimed Putin would use “mass graves” as a pretense for War with Ukraine?

  27. A convenient delay in the debate/vote on the Emergencies Act. My guess is that the libranos know this isn’t a slam duck. I don’t think they will want to risk losing the vote and will withdraw the legislation before the vote is called. It will all be for naught.

      The NDP MP from Montreal, Rosemont- La Petite Patrie, Alexandre Boulerice who spoke in the H of C yesterday was heckled when he said that he was supporting the Emergency Act. The Bloc member who spoke right after reminded him that he was going against Premier Francois Legault who is against the Federal Emergency Act.

      The fact that Legault is against what Bongo is doing is a big deal, hence, the convenient delay, as you say.

  30. Grocery shopping update.

    Earlier today, I went to the nearby Safeway to buy groceries. The only shortage I noticed was whole wheat flour. There were no 10-kg bags available but there were a number of 5-kg bags of Robin Hood on the shelf, so I settled for one of them. Unfortunately, the price (over $12) was outrageous.

    I supported the truckers and protested Prinz Dummkopf’s imperial decree by going through the store bare-faced. Nobody noticed or, if they did, didn’t say anything. I encountered only one other customer in the store who went maskless.

  31. Banking update.

    I successfully logged into my bank accounts on-line and paid my first 2022 income tax installment.

    After my father died, I took over his account and had it set up for automatic payments for the utilities for my house in B. C. Earlier this week, I was able to pay my Telus and Shaw bills from that.

    So far, so good…..
