A 41-year-old man who worked at a Saskatoon school is accused of sexually assaulting five children who were approximately 10 years old, according to police.
Officers received a report of the alleged sexual interference at St. Mary’s Wellness and Education Centre on May 26, the Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release. The offences are believed to have occurred between Sept. 1, 2025, and May 25, 2026.[…]
Court documents obtained by Global News indicate the accused is 41-year-old Hessam Aldin Sahrapour.
Sahrapour is facing five sexual assault charges and five assault charges. He is expected to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Wednesday.

Behavior like this is not a one time “experimentation.” So, you have to wonder how the guy got the job in the first place. The Greater Saskatoon Catholic School system requires a background check to determine arrests and/or convictions. BUT, what if the employee only arrived relatively recently in Canada? Most Arab nations are selective about what law enforcement information they share. So, how is the vetting done?
Apparently, the GSCS has to rely fully on your federal refugee offices to pick up on any misrepresentation of issue with law enforcement. So, this guy (who may or may not have a history of sexually abusing minors), only had to get into the country without the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) picking up on a previous crime in a foreign country. That seems like a pretty big loophole considering how lax the IRCC operates.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t know Hessam Aldin Sahrapour’s status, history or current resident details. But, it seems to me that a school in Canada hiring a foreigner is pretty much a crapshoot based on how the system is set up.

Then he can’t have the job. Sorry…lack of information, in this case (or any other when working with children is involved), should be treated the same as negative information.
