In the time of Covid, Britain is interesting to watch because it’s akin to an isolated laboratory which we can study from afar. Plus, the accents are delightful.
The UK Tories have a huge majority, yet they haven’t utilized it to implement anything remotely conservative or anything coming close to common sense. Boris Johnson seems to be a weak-minded buffoon with no principles who just flops around, apparently completely controlled by incompetent and/or nefarious individuals around him. Turns out it’s worse. Much worse. It appears that those pulling his strings are wealthy Stalinists whose only objective is to control the masses through fear and lies.

Didn’t take a rocket scientist to see the buffoon from way back when he was editor of the Spectator. The fact he could have been “elected “ as the leader of the extremely small c-onservatives was a huge red flag to shun anything called conservative in the UK. The fact his whole position on Europe was always pro-eu should have disqualified him from any office let alone so called official “leave campaign”. He was the controlled opposition throughout the long sorry saga.
He always was and remains a useful idiot, a buffoon, an insult to the decent Englishman. (He used to hold a US passport, counts his genealogy as Turkish and American (Mother from memory) and has a ex that is a Muslim convert).

Liberal democracy is too weak in the face of 21st century Communism. (Some might argue liberal democracy itself is the handmaiden of Communism…same goals, softer means)
We’ll need South American solutions to liberal democratic corruption. More Pinochets and Operation Condors are necessary to set things right.
