No Christmas For You

We must cancel Christmas and ruin the economy because we might get the sniffles. This is one of the Omicron symptoms.

And Dear Leader reminded us that he will be suffering as well. He will be isolating at his Harrington Lake resort with a minimum of cooks, housekeepers, and security staff.

Trudeau tells Canadians to “hunker down” as provinces enter COVID lockdowns

And your morning smile.

Update: Shutting down Britain because of the common cold.

  1. A bigger story in my opinion is the feds admitting that yes, they’ve tracked over 33 million cellphone devices to study lockdown responsiveness.
    This country is effed.

    1. I agree with your comment. This government has outright lied. When you return to Canada (at least as of two months ago) if unvaccinated and have to quarantine, they explicitly state that you are not being tracked. I will have to check to see if the website still says that. But, I didn’t believe it then and now it has been confirmed. It is disheartening, though not surprising, that people are not outraged.

  2. Omicron! OMG! We’re all going to die. Quick, do the Canadian thing — light your hair on fire and run around in circles, screaming at the top of your lungs.

    1. You forgot this.

Go wait in a line for hours, in the cold, possibly with symptoms, to get tested to find out, so you can go back home because there’s no treatment allowed in Canaderp. But it satisfied your paranoia.

Or, wait in line for hours, to get a shot of gunk, that doesn’t prevent disease at all, and, looks to make oneself MORE susceptible to catching it.

Stupid is as stupid does, welcome to Canaderp. Enforced by the Corpse, LibCTV, Glowbull and ChittyTV.

  3. a minimum of cooks, housekeepers, and security staff

Is Soapy clamping down on how many women he can grope?

    1. He especially needs the security staff. Our Italian and Romanian countrymen know all about regime change when it comes to fascists.

  4. Trudeau is nothing more than a real prat.
With his birthday on the 25th can we expect him to have no more than 10 people for Christmas at Harrington Lake when his own family count is 5 ? Bull to that.

  5. Boy, by the way this whole Omicrud thing has been rolled out, you’d think it was all scripted and preplanned. Hmmmm?
Follow the science – Whatever Blackie says, do the opposite. Works every time.

  6. Shut her all down bye. Let people die I no longer care. I have to ask though, why aren’t bureaucrats and politicians dying from this deadly plague?

    1. My standard response to co-workers is “I was promised bodies in the streets! I haven’t seen any.” Listening to the fear porn coming out of some of their mouths makes me actually shake my head.

  7. Only going to cancel Christmas 2 more times and if you get 6 boosters and wear your mask while at locked up at home the curve will be flattened ! Well possibly.

  8. One of the symptoms of omicron is that there are no symptoms.
That’s how it ‘gets’ you! /s

Has anyone had a cold in the last two years?

The symptoms of the next version will simply be a list of all the vaccine side effects.
    The cult must go on.

  9. The omisniffles scariant propaganda is having quite the effect. Had a really rough maskless visit to one of the four grocery stores I patronize. In one of them the fear was palpable. A little old lady at the deli counter FREAKED. “OMG you don’t have a mask!!!!! (I may have left out an exclamation mark or two). Shoo, shoo, get away from me”. She called me an asshole and twice again in the aisles. Three separate staff approached me and asked me to don a mask and simply walked away when I refused. AND two men (sic) in their 30-40s at the checkouts told me to put on a mask, one castigating me for being < 2 meters away. I stood my ground. How brave eh? Dead soldiers are laughing in their graves.

Reading the True North national omisniffles roundup I see what happened. I watch NO TV news (including Fox) and haven’t for decades.

My current approach is to ask staff if they are authorized to deny service. So far, that doesn’t seem to be the case. But I may bring my motorcycle helmet with me which I could don as a satirical face covering if it comes to that. They do seem to want my money.

    1. I had an encounter with someone earlier today when I was leaving the nearby grocery store.

I stepped outside after removing my face diaper and was on my way home. I passed by a middle-aged woman who was standing by the wall not far from the exit. She was maskless when I saw her, but, as I came closer, minding my own business, sure enough, she insisted on putting it back on.

I was in her proximity for only a few seconds. There was no direct contact and I doubt that any air currents would have passed between us. Yet, she acted as if my being 2 or 3 paces away meant instant contamination and immediate death.

      People will believe anything nowadays.

  10. If covid was a real problem the government would have increased the number of critical care units two years ago. Instead it spent most of its time trying to get people to hide in their basements, wearing masks and taking unproven drugs.

But, 2022 will see an election in the USA. Watch for Biden to shut down the hysteria as he plans for the November slaughter. Then we will see if there are any real conservatives in America.

Glimpses of a thaw are already evident. On the news a day or so ago, “Omicron may not be as deadly as Delta”. We may have to “live with the virus”. “Can’t put the economy on hold forever”. And so on. This is the bought and paid for media saying this, not independent journalists or bloggers.

    1. We’ve been hearing that from South Africa for a couple weeks now. North American media and government is finally saying it now too! I want to say ‘what the hell is wrong with our gov’t,’ but I already know the answer.

  11. When you control the main stream media it’s easy to push any lies and propaganda you want to promote
and we all know turdeau uses billions of Canadian tax dollars to control all forms of main stream media and
not a peep about this out of feckless O’Toole.

  12. https://www.peakprosperity.com/omicron-is-the-beginning-of-the-end/

Indeed, but our governments are too drunk on power, as is the media, to tell us the truth. They’re too busy having fun manipulating the public, to look around and see what’s really happening, in real time, in the UK, Denmark and South Africa.

And the population is too frozen in fear from the bogeyman to peek out from under their rocks.

More people would die of the flu each year, than the rates we saw this year from the Vid, not that the media or government would ever refresh the public’s memory.

FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR! for the stupid and lazy, is a glorious and scrumptious meal.

  13. Regarding Clueless Joe’s version of Vogon poetry, I quite like it.

I find it rhetorically effective and it has great metaphysical imagery and interesting rhythmic devices that counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor. I find it to be very funny and satirical towards government employees and office workers.

  14. Easiest government job in the world right now is Finance Minister.
Spend whatever you want on whatever you want and blame it all on covid.
Zero accountability and huge opportunities for graft and theft.

If anyone asks any questions they must want all the children to die of covid.

  15. I wish nothing but the worst fate for ALL those responsible both federally and provincially.
Pierre got his JUST reward for screwing up Canada by getting to bury one of his kids.

  16. Let me guess: Dear Leader and guests will be singing a round of The Twelve Years of Covid….. (“In the fifth year of Covid, Dear Leader said to me: ‘Get jabbed or else!'”)

  17. Steve from Rockwood said:
If covid was a real problem the government would have increased the number of critical care units two years ago.

Weak logic there Steve. Gubmints today don’t deal with real problems. They are too busy with power-augmenting imaginary problems that can’t be measured: e.g. the effect of banned plastic bags on the weather.

  18. Delusions of Churchillian grandeur. Dear Leader has compared the covid non-demic to WW2. He honestly sees himself as the True Hero (She-ro?) boldly and bravely leading the fight, taking our country through the worst crisis in its history.
Well, in his hubris, he got at least one thing right.
This is the worst crisis in our nation’s history.
But JT is not the answer to our crisis; he is the cause.

  19. Diane Francis in today’s NP is advocating that anyone unvaxxed and needing medical treatment pay for it themselves. She is a very evil woman. Why not make smokers pay for their lung cancer treatment?

  20. While he is “hunkered down” it would be best if he didn’t comment on anything.
In the interest of health safety, of course.

  21. Interesting that he mentions “minimum of staff” but no mention of family or friends. But then guess he’s exempt from the restrictions.

    1. He is Dear Leader. The laws of men do not apply to he who, with the twitch of a single eyebrow, can instantly destroy whole galaxies billions of light years away.
