  1. You have to be completely out of touch with reality to attach the words “so called insurrection” to January 6. It was an assault on democracy. It was an assault on police officers. It was an assault on the rule of law.

      1. They didn’t attempt to subvert democracy and the peaceful transfer of power as outlined in the US constitution. They also did not interrupt an official proceeding by congress.

      ““incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto.”

      100% spot on. These punks were attempting to subvert the peaceful transfer of power as outlined in the US constitution. I cannot think of anything more unpatriotic than that.

Given that, IMHO no one to the left of Rand Paul was preferable as a candidate, the loose cannon populist was an entertaining interloper and preferable to the evil Democrat in a pant suit who belonged in a jump suit. Much like America’s presence in Afghanistan, Trump’s positive accomplishments were gone with him. Biden warms the seat for Obama’s corrupted deep state leviathan and even as he becomes more of a lame duck, the hope of salvation from a new Congress will still have to cross his desk as long as he breathes. Until it is possible to run on balancing budgets and shrinking leviathan, the road to serfdom remains unobstructed.
