This morning, on this post, there was this comment from ‘Monica’:
Their hatred of the US is beginning to get scary. I had it out with a neighbor hissing and spitting that Trump is the danger and Canada is strong, moron. When I gave him just the facts he left screaming that American Chicken is disgusting. Okay dude, the liberal voters think we are at war with the US, yea and we’ll win wink-wink.
It was then followed up with this comment from ‘The Phantom’:
“When I gave him just the facts he left screaming”
This is the main event that Covid was the test-run for. I’m shutting up now and watching people. When they’re foaming at the mouth like that I just smile, nod and let them think I’m on their side. Honestly, they don’t deserve more. That guy is the one who squealed to the cops when somebody in his neighborhood had a birthday party.
I learned my lesson in 2020/21. People aren’t who they pretend to be. There’s a lot out there who’d drop a dime on you to the Stazi for nothing. Just so they could feel proud and virtuous. On the whole, I welcome it. I didn’t love finding out that Canada is actually East Germany in drag. But now that I know, it sure is great when the apparatchiks and the informers self-identify. East Germany isn’t as bad when you know who the rats are.
Oh, and no bumper stickers on the car, eh? License plate cameras are forever, and now they have AI to sift through 20 years of pictures.
Prior to Covid, I would have said that what The Phantom wrote was exaggeration. But now, I consider it highly factual.

Pierre Trudeau met with Mao and Xhou in Red China almost a year before Nixon. Lester Pearson was the Soviet mole who brought PET into the fold. That we went from the Dominion of Canada to the Lieberal Democratic Peoples Republic of Kanada is not a surprise.
Honestly it just shows the propaganda efforts are succeeding. When I point out that Trump is far from my day to day issues, I get blank stares. How is this possible in the land of TDS? It isn’t Trump taxing me out of my house, he isn’t cranking up the booze tax, gas tax and carbon taxes, he isn’t scheming to take my firearms away and he isn’t passing hate speech and censorship laws. But muh elbows up, Orange man bad! There is no reliable media in Canada to lay out the facts about this trade war. I laughed yesterday as the techs at Global weren’t quite quick enough and displayed the CBS logo for a couple of seconds just before the National News. Then they tell me most Canadians support Carney, roll out some B.S. poll and tell me all is OK, we’ll just boycott more U.S. products and that’ll show them.
A few problems with this. First, Canada is not at war with the US. Canada is at war with the Trump administration. Second, no one wins a tariff war, but sometimes you still have to fight them. Third, opposition to the Trump administration comes not just from liberals, but from all parts of the spectrum. Just because Trump is Republican doesn’t automatically mean he’s a conservative deserving of respect.
