Remember how we’ve been told for decades that “all teachers are heroes”? Not all of them and NONE of the teachers’ unions.
It’s kind of like an iceberg of sorts…only a third of it is above the water. I don’t believe for one second other personnel in that particular school didn’t know what that dink was all about – Seriously, how could you not? From the janitor who cleans the room every night to his colleagues and Principal not to mention the school board members themselves. This isn’t a one off by any stretch. What, was he teaching in some dank basement classroom where no one bothered to go? Please.
They got busted…so they’re throwing Gipe under the bus and hoping all of this will blow over till the next news cycle.

It’s like the English teacher I had 50 years ago. He was a hard-core commie and the only way we could get a decent grade in his course was to parrot back the bilge he fed us.
The other teachers in my high school knew about him and he became a laughingstock, though I’m not sure if it was because he believed that rubbish or because of his fervor. More than 20 years ago, I contacted some of my former high school teachers to thank them for having contributed to me getting my Ph. D. I spoke with the one who taught me physics and I mentioned Mr. Commie’s name in the conversation. The response was laughter.
Near the end of my last term of high school, I found out that my former English teacher was quitting his position, heading back to Saskatchewan, and going back to farming. I thought that was a wise choice on his part. He could preach Marx and Lenin to his wheat.
BAD – Here in Canada, you commie English teacher worked until he quit. In California, as left wing as it is, they fired the bugger, or at least they are in the process of doing so:

My former English teacher told me he was “quitting”, but I never did find out if he jumped or was pushed, if you know what I mean.
I was once dismissed from a position by being asked for my resignation. I, being young and foolish, complied because I figured out what the alternative was and I thought that would have been worse.
By getting me to resign, my former employer wiggled its way out of a potential lawsuit.
Like Trudeau, he probably did something, or someone, untoward.
A lot of my fellow students didn’t like his attempts at indoctrination. I’m sure that the principal heard about it and took action.
I work in a school… last year there was a fourth grate teacher that had BLM “material” up in her room. Made sure that the admin knew about it… when they failed to take action, some in the local community were “made aware of it” and started blowing up the former superintendent’s phone and email. The following day, things disappeared from the room. The schools and the districts don’t like it when parents start talking and visiting the schools.
Most teacher’s and support staff believe that they are bullet-proof… and engage in behavior in the schools that would get anyone an another occupation fired. Verbal abuse, threats, bigotry and intimidation are the norm in most schools in the area. There’s a saying that you can tell what grade a teacher is in by how they behave towards you… and it’s true.
You want to fix the problems in the schools – decertify the unions, remove existing school board members (most are endorsed by the local/state teachers unions) and clean house in the schools would be my first steps
We need more mums like her (in the video) than ones who put their children with predators in libraries.

It must TERRIFY the Gavin Newsom leftists to see and hear such a culturally diverse group of people speak out against leftist indoctrination. Every Hispanic, Jewish, Venezuelan, Asian, Black, and even Native American speaker must simply TERRIFY the Left. People the Left believe they OWN … actually prefer the traditional and Constitutional America to the Wokistan model. This was a DIVERSE group of speakers who ALL clearly LOVE America, and LOVE their children. I heartily congratulate them all for speaking their minds.
And predictably … the Sacramento Bee wrote an article regarding this School Board Meeting that characterized the parents as “intolerant”, “angry”, “volatile” , “shouting out of turn” … blah, blah, blah. The same way they write articles about Trump where they ALWAYS describe his “RAGE”.
Kenji – they’re not smart enough to understand what “being a revolutionary” means. Just like they don’t understand that they’re the power structure now. Or that Trump was a contrarian to the current power structure (that dutifully fell in line to break the law and bring him down).
They have done their best to foster suspicion of authority. Which is now them. And they don’t want their ideas questioned because lucid thought is not their strong point. And they’re not self aware enough to understand it.
Just like the preaching of some of our resident trolls. Who think they’re enlightening us when they’re just getting in the way of good discussion.
Today’s teachers for the most part are a disgrace to their profession. They are so far removed from being educators that it is going to be very hard to get them back on the right track
No teachers are heroes. They’re just doing a job, and a cushy overpaid one at that.
As a former post-secondary educator, I take exception to that.
I tried to do a decent job in teaching my students something that would last them throughout their careers while also maintaining an applicable standard. Instead, I was “advised” by my superiors to water things down so that nobody failed. I got into a lot of trouble when I didn’t play along.
As for the teachers I had in senior high school about 50 years ago, the only one I didn’t have much respect for was the one who taught Grade 11 phys-ed.
In my earlier comment, I mentioned that I contacted many of them after I became Dr. BADR. My Grade 12 English teacher was particularly pleased. He mentioned that when I was in his class, he had just started his career. My telling him about my Ph. D. more than 20 years ago was, according to him, a fine way to retire.

A good teacher is worth their weight in gold. But there is so much dross and leverite in the way…

My teacher wife is one of the good ones. She teaches her young kids the 3-R’s and starts each day with the Pledge of Allegiance. I dare say that if her local School Board Members were aware of her practice … they’d FIRE her. Yes, they are all Marxists in her School District. But she is the most-requested teacher at her school, and her kids almost universally test at and above grade level in all disciplines.
I tell her that I HOPE they try to FIRE her for teaching her children to love America … as the settlement from our lawsuit would improve our standard of living in retirement. 🙂
I have had teachers ranging from commie, anarchist… all the way to true masters of the craft. And I generally didnt realize how bad the bad ones were at the time. Nor did I realize how good the good ones were at the time. And when I say good, I mean great. I mean that I owe a debt of gratitude which I can never repay.
Sad thing is, the good and bad probably all got paid the same union salary.

It would have eliminated school boards, which serve two functions for the Marxists:
One, it allows them to establish indoctrination curriculum.
Two, it’s the minor leagues of politics, establish your political creds, move up to municipal politics, then state or provincial politics, then on to a national stage.
Those who dominate the grass roots of education and politics set up a perpetual system of societal change.
