    completely unfazed after making me wait over 2 years for an appointment, l came concerned about repeated staph infections, provided photos, concerned the condition can lead to sepsis.
    she ignored the photos, gave me all of a matter of minutes sold me some soap and threw a prescription at me.

    Synopsis:

    … the alleged perpetrators of abuse were not parties to the (so-called) Independent Assessment Process in the 2006 Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, designed as a claimant-centred process with the (anonymous) claimant, their lawyer, and the adjudicator the only participants in this bonanza.

    … although described as witnesses, 70% of the alleged perpetrators were merely private Canadian citizens accused by their government of crimes while denied trial and the presumption of innocence, while the other 30% were in on the take as claimant besides being alleged perpetrators in other claims.

    … those 70% likely declined to participate since they weren’t allowed to attend their accusers hearing, nor see transcripts of testimony.

    … with the vast majority of alleged perpetrators found guilty in absentia, over $3Billion dollars of (innocent) Canadian taxpayer money paid out to 38,000 (grifters) claimants in order to settle lawsuits against the (innocent) Church and the (in cahoots) federal government. (whose Liberal Party of Canada M.O. is to appeal against tax-payers and for extortionists like themselves)

    … today former members of the TRC (with current and long careers at the complicit CBC where they’ve already illegally revealed names) publicly disagree with the 2017 Supreme Court of Canada decision of confidentiality and are retrying the case in the court of public opinion via their (redundant) Residential School Records Project and will likely but illegally release the sealed allegations for yet more extortion, with the Canadian (so-called) Supreme Court likely in agreement since it’s stacking by Trudeau after 2015.

  6. 7 weeks ago today my 70 year old wife got a hip joint replacement in Kaunas Lithuania for about $22K including travel expenses for both of us

    Her hip deteriorated slowly for years then suddenly very rapidly for 3 months to the point of having great pain 24 hours a day. She was told her wait for surgery would be about 2 years. Private surgery was available here but at a much higher price.

    Canada is a ridiculous failure of a country.

      I first presented to my PCP on Dec. 2 … telling him I was ready to replace my hip. I had follow-up x-rays the same day. I was seen by my surgeon within a week and he was able to schedule the surgery within the month. I had the most-experienced, most-respected, hip/knee replacement surgeon in the most expensive County in all of most-expensive CA replace my hip inside a month … Christmas season month. It all went perfectly, as did the prior hip surgery I had done with him nearly 10 years prior.

      The cost was $150,000.00. Medicare + my Medicare Advantage Plan paid for all but $250.00. I paid $250.00 out of pocket. And let it be known that I much prefer my Doctors be extremely well paid. To remunerate their education and expertise. But in reality my surgeon only saw a tiny portion of that. The vast majority went to the Hospital. Way too much in my estimation. However, I lacked for nothing and was monitored as though I was in the ICU … despite being up and walking with a ‘walker’ within 4-hours of the major surgery. That was 9 months ago … and was a life-changing surgery (again). Never a problem during, soon after, or now long after the surgery.

      God Bless America. No, I was never offered medically assisted suicide since I am now officially geriatric (by age, not by actual lifestyle). For the moment … America still cares for its wise “old” people.

      1. Oddly enough one of the patients we met at and through the clinic my wife used for her hip replacement was an American from a town near Boston. He got a new knee in Lithuania. I never thought to ask him why he did not get it done in the US. He seemed to be a well off sort so maybe he self insured and was willing to travel for the apparent huge savings.

        1. I paid $250.00 for a 1st class major medical operation … accomplished within the month … by a highly experienced/respected surgeon. Why would I outsource THAT kind of medical care?

      2. Oh … and when I say the Hospital charges are outrageous … that was for a 24hr. stay in the hospital … including the surgery itself!
