Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Heh. I got this on a “Stampede!” CD. Only half of the song on it are still part of my at-work playlist. This one is a 5 star. I always figured the Hutterite truck would be an F600 with a flatbed. Go figure.
You know that thing beneath your rjght foot? Use it! What’s the worst that could happen? Oh right, that’s what got you there already.
You know that thing beneath your hat? Seems to be defective.
Vasalene…er…petroleum jelly?
Ferrari wedgie.
Very inexperienced driver, if you know your vehicle you should be able to drive through a space with an inch on either side of your mirrors pretty comfortably
I was in a situation similar to that a few years ago, or, rather, my car was.
One day, I wanted to wash my vehicle. Imagine my surprise when I removed the cover, I found a dent, let alone a rectangular one, in the back corner.
I slowly pieced together what might have happened. The person parked next to me was backing out and brushed against my car. (I recall the bumper cover was loose.) The driver appears to have panicked and, instead of driving forward, straightening out the front wheels and trying again, tried to separate the vehicles using–get this–a tire jack.
The dent was the same shape and size of the foot of a screw jack. More incriminating was that there was a crack on the taillight housing on her vehicle at about the same height as the dent.
I was strapped for cash in those days, so I decided to pound out the dent, sand down to bare metal, smooth out any remaining ripples with body putty, and then repaint it, starting with primer and ending with clear-coat. It took me several weeks and, unless one looked closely, one wouldn’t have noticed any difference.
I wasn’t surprised, though, when the tenant in question moved to another parking stall elsewhere in the complex. I guess the game was given away when her toddler son came over to me while I was working on the repairs one day and he asked me why I put a cover on my car. Mommy quickly hustled Junior away.
All told, my expenses were under $200 and that was mainly for consumables like sandpaper and masking tape. What I found insulting, though, is that she didn’t own up to it and trust in my mercy. If money had been an issue, I would have accepted a token dollar as payment.
Some people…..
Speaking of getting stuck driving in an old city.
That’s how pros do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efGiLLeQRns&t=19s
Did you know that Clarkson has taken up farming……..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pgg8P-J0Rs
Yes, I watched the whole show. Excellent. He got signed up for a second season. The man is an international treasure.
The first scene of that I knew they were in an Edinburgh close. I absolutely love the Top Gear lads. I have also enjoyed “Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm.
Thanks for sharing that, it went great with my morning coffee!
My childhood family car was a Mercury Meteor. I remember exactly how big a car door can get!!
Glad you enjoyed it. But, just to clarify, this was not Top Gear, this was the new episode of Grand Tour (on Amazon Prime). Check it out if you haven’t already.
Not a big deal … you can buff it out …
Considering that the dent I mentioned was about the size of a credit card and a few mm deep, it would have taken a lot of buffing on my part.
If you can’t afford the wear and tear, you can’t afford the car.
There’s a reason why people in Europe drive tiny little shitboxes.
Meh. Leave it and call for the Lamborghini.
Ha ha ha ha ha….zero fucks given for IMBECILES…of any stripe..but more so and particularly, Arrogant asshole drivers (usually male – usually 35-50), of all stripes – most often seen in BMW, Audi, Mercedes. Infinity etc…..
When in Rome use a Fiat. There’s one for every size of street. Otherwise use a motorbike.
