If you have never been to Africa, don’t buy into the “building schools and hospitals” schtick. For the most part, they are really little more than walls and a roof. No need for any heating, etc.. They probably cost a song using very cheap local labor and materials. Have seen quite a few of them and they are not what we would call “schools” or “hospitals”.
So true – we apply our view of the world and what we know about to the rest of the world.
But, building a hospital there will have an extra cost that these guys know a lot about.
