They regret the error: The Secretary of State’s office secretly recorded the conversation, mischaracterized its contents to The Washington Post and then attempted to delete the recording. It was recently discovered in a laptop “trash” folder as part of an open records search.
This story was included in the impeachment follies. It was a plant coordinated by Pelosi, WAPO and a RINO SoS in Georgia, and probably the Governor. It also came out days before the Senate runoff and likely affected that outcome. Tell me again why the media is not our enemy.

The fact that they “corrected” the story without noting any substantial difference in the story indicates that they don’t seem to find the facts pertinent to the story. Reminds me of Dan Rather insisting that whether or not his “proof” of George Bush dodging the draft turned out to be a cheap forgery, it didn’t change the truthiness of his claim that George Bush was a draft dodger. If the facts don’t matter to your story, why bring them up at all?
