      The deaths from Jan 21 were at 4, with 17 new cases.

      Today China reports 427 deaths with 2792 in critical condition. They aren’t accounting for any viral pneumonia deaths at home because people are turned away from the hospitals.
      Wait and see the numbers 2 weeks after Chinese New Year when everyone was so cavalier about the virus….

3. Behind all totalitarian impulses is the belief that things must be controlled. We must all march in lock step to achieve mankind’s full potential. The idea that individual freedom — and especially diversity of opinion — achieves better results is foreign to them.

4. The Chinese are big on consensus, that is, figuring out what the emperor thinks, and then repeating his talking points as necessary. Telling the truth is a good way to wind up in a prison or a re-education camp.

   That’s why they never think of anything new. And that’s why the word of overseas Chinese can never be taken as the whole truth. If anything goes wrong, you will be offered an explanation that absolves them (not you) from responsibility, or the heads of one or two scapegoats top brass won’t miss. You will never get the whole story.

5. It’s just typical life under authoritarian rule complete with levels of control that the Spawn and his green henchmen aspire. I suspect that better than half of Canadians support the actions of the Chicom enforcers justifiable by this latest crisis. Canadians have given up more liberty for far less “security”.

9. Blessed Relief
   On a positive note about coronavirus is that it has given us some relief on the National newscasts from Global, CTV and CBC. Their mandatory 10 minute Global Warming stories have been replaced by Coronavirus Stories.

   Unfortunately Coronavirus like all flu virus pass and mutate into something else. That unfortunately will result in us the viewers, again being subjected to the 10 minute mandatory propaganda narrative on Global warming again.

   Like Kate says we need a Famine. Unfortunately I fear that the (Coronavirus) famine won’t be long enough to change deep rooted anxiety from the Media about Global Warming.
