It’s Probably Nothing

Updated with this thread on the moved to top of post.

Not a good time to be an anti-vaxxer. Let’s hope one comes soon.

Washington Times;

The deadly animal virus epidemic spreading globally may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory linked to China’s covert biological weapons program, according to an Israeli biological warfare expert.

Radio Free Asia this week rebroadcast a local Wuhan television report from 2015 showing China’s most advanced virus research laboratory known the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Radio Free Asia reported.

The laboratory is the only declared site in China capable of working with deadly viruses.

Purely coincidence.

  1. Oh my sweet gentle J….
I’ve read pandemic fiction that starts more simply than this. Look more clicks for thw Washington Screamemtimes.

    1. The claim by the Israeli is dubious. Sequencing data indicates the origin species is probably snakes.

  2. Outbreak of mysterious pathogen occurs about 10 days prior to the largest annual human mass migration involving hundreds of millions of people in close contact making containment impossible and enabling a quick global spread amongst the billions. Yep, an obvious total coincidence.

  3. Wonder where the chicom scientist that Canada fired from our microbiological lab last summer went? Wasn’t it the scientist, her husband and students with ties to China that got turfed for some breach of protocol?

    Ah yes Canada’s chicom friends……

  4. A Canadian government scientist at the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg made at least five trips to China in 2017-18, including one to train scientists and technicians at China’s newly certified Level 4 lab, which does research with the most deadly pathogens, according to travel documents obtained by CBC News.

Xiangguo Qiu — who was escorted out of the Winnipeg lab in July amid an RCMP investigation into what’s being described by Public Health Agency of Canada as a possible “policy breach” — was invited to go to the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences twice a year for two years, for up to two weeks each time.

The Canadian lab involved in a mysterious RCMP investigation around one of its most acclaimed scientists shipped samples of Ebola and another deadly virus to China earlier this year, says the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The other pathogen was henipavirus, an emerging family of bugs that inspired the Hollywood thriller Contagion, and which in real life has killed up to 100 per cent of people infected.

The viruses were provided to Chinese scientists as part of a “routine” sharing of infectious agents, fulfilling the National Microbiology Lab’s mandate to promote public-health research worldwide, said an agency spokesman.

Henipavirus refers to two related viruses, Hendra and Nipah, both of which emerged within the past few decades.

Nipah has attracted the most attention. Transmitted from animals to people — but also able to jump between humans — it can cause acute breathing problems and encephalitis, potentially fatal brain inflammation.

First discovered in Malaysia and Singapore in 1998, there have also been small outbreaks in Bangladesh and India, with death rates ranging up to 100 per cent, and mostly over 50 per cent.

With potential for human transmission and no vaccine or treatment, “its threat to cause a widespread outbreak and its potential for weaponization has increased,” said a paper by NML scientists published last year.

In the Steven Soderbergh-directed Contagion, a virus modelled after nipah wreaks havoc worldwide, before scientists manage to develop a vaccine.

“The outbreak has been linked to Wuhan’s Huanan Wholesale Seafood Market, which has since been closed. Weeks after the market in the city in central China became ‘ground zero’, the authorities said human-to-human transmission played a role in the outbreak.”

China’s Biological Warfare Programme and the Curious Case of Dr. Xiangguo Qiu

In July 2019, a rare event occurred in Canada, whereby a group of Chinese virologists were forcibly dispatched from the Canadian National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) in Winnipeg, a facility they worked in, running parts of the Special Pathogen Programme of Canada’s Public Health Agency. Experimental infections – including aerogenic ones – of monkeys with the most lethal viruses found on Planet Earth comprise nearly a routine therein. Four months earlier, a shipment of two exceptionally virulent viruses dealt with in the NML – Ebola and Nipah viruses – was on its way from NML, ended in [Wuhan] China, and has thereafter been traced and regarded to be improper, specifically put as “possible policy breaches”, or rather but an “administrative issue”, ostensibly.

Yet the scope of this incident is much wider, in actuality. The main culprit seems to be Dr. Xiangguo Qiu, an outstanding Chinese scientist, born in Tianjin. Heading until recently the Vaccine Development and Antiviral Therapies section of the Special Pathogens Programme, she primarily received her medical doctor degree from Hebei Medical University in China in 1985 and came to Canada for graduate studies in 1996.

However, the studies by Dr. Qiu are considerably more advanced and fruitful, in certain aspects. They are apparently vital for the Chinese biological weapons developing, in case Ebola, Nipah, Marburg or Rift Valley fever viruses are included therein, which is a plausible postulation; let alone the wild type viruses in themselves. And it is of note that only Nipah virus is naturally found in China or neighboring countries.

Collectively, then, the interface between Dr. Qiu and China has a priori been highly suspicious. On top of it, the shipment of the two viruses from NML to China apparently generated an alarm, beyond its seeming inappropriateness.

    1. Remember

      Thanks for the excellent post.

Something very unsavory was going on at NBL. Canada was duped once again by our chicom friends.

  5. Expecting headlines coming out soon:

A Breakthrough “Expensive” Vaccine is Discovered to Treat Coronavirus.

Designer virus patented in US, attacking their sounder of swines then attacking their people, connect the dots …….

China – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

    https://www.gatesfoundation.org/where-we-work/china-office

    Jordan Sather

The new fad disease called the “coronavirus” is sweeping headlines.
Funny enough, there was a patent for the coronavirus was filed in 2015 and granted in 2018.

US Patent for Coronavirus Patent (Patent # 10,130,701)

    https://patents.justia.com/patent/10130701

This assignee of this patent was the government funded Pirbright Institute out of the UK.

And would you look at that, some of their major funders are the World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Funny how the WHO recently said that vaccine hesitancy was one of the leading threats to global health in 2019.

And how much funding has the Gates Foundation given to vaccine programs throughout the years?

Was the release of this disease planned?
Is the media being used to incite fear around it?

Is the Cabal desperate for money, so they’re tapping their Big Pharma reserves?

Are there vaccines already being manufactured to “fight” this?

    Coordinated all along?

Interesting timing of when this disease is hitting the headlines.

According to the patent, it was created to be used as a vaccine for infectious bronchitis.

The virus is designed to attack the lung. Other solution is ECMO but extremely expensive as hemodialysis.

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a treatment that uses a pump to circulate blood through an artificial lung back into the bloodstream of a very ill baby. This system provides heart-lung bypass support outside of the baby’s body.

  6. You needn’t hope that this will be China’s Chernobyl. Mass death as a result of the corruption, incompetence and outright malice of the elite has been an unhappy fact of Chinese life for centuries.

All the communists have done is perfect the art of culling the segments of China’s population surplus to the requirements of the Middle Kingdom.

Most of the people who have died so far (that we know about) were elderly, in poor health, or both. The Communist Party doesn’t plan to put the feeding and medical care of elderly Chinese ahead of their plans for world domination. The only old men with failing hearts, lungs and livers who must be kept alive at all costs are in the Politburo. Everybody else? Throw grandpa off his 44th floor balcony, it’ll be kinder than what the genetic engineers of Wuhan have in store for him.

  7. A nuclear or EMP attack would bring immediate and severe retaliation, so Mutual Assured Destruction or ‘MAD’ is the deterrent.

However, a mysterious, viral pandemic killing off enough of the population to weaken the West’s civilian and military population. Then whether this was a result of a Chinese viral research lab accident or was deliberate. It would be too late to respond.

Having most of the world’s population wiped out in an accidental nuclear war or deliberate war is so 20th Century. This is 2020, when a biological warfare accident or by intention has the same effect. Welcome to the 21st Century. It may be West. Civilization’s last.

We may go out, not with a bang, but with a whimper.

The last Hollywood movies ever made, would would cater to their largest potential audience, the one in China.

  8. I hope Trudeau contracts it. I hope that cursed family line ends this generation. Or else there will be a Trudeau the third.

    1. Why would you care if there is a third Turdo? Aren’t you supposed to separate Alberta by then (or at least your basement if Alberta proves not pure enough)? What happened to your grand plan?
      1. Elect Aladdin
      2. ????????
      3. Wexit.

    2. Kevin, Trudeau the Third is Alexandre “Sasha” Trudeau, Justin’s brother, the fellow who wrote and produced a pro-Iranian documentary, for CBC News, seven or eight years ago. His left–wing, anti-democracy docs have given him much cred among the Laurentian power-brokers.

    1. Agree!

At the same time, at the moment, this looks like a very nasty bug and one which should be taken seriously.

Right now we have limited information and a lot of scare stories. Much “no context” video.

So, what can we do? The usual prepper stuff. A few weeks food stored to avoid having to go out. Gloves, maybe masks and so on. We might want to restrict flights from Asia until we have a handle on this and we might want to do serious screening at airports. The trouble is that people can, apparently, be asymptomatic while contagious. Oh Great!

I am hoping this will not be the pandemic. But there will be a pandemic at some point and being basically prepared makes sense.

  9. Maybe a tearful Blackie can appear before the cameras with his cute beard, ruffled hair, and serious look, to explain why he hasn’t suspended flights from China to Canada. Perhaps that would interfere with Liberal politicians traveling back and forth on business.

    1. John, sorry to disagree, but that is Acting Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland’s job. The Rt. Hon. Trudeau’s Job is to meet and greet fans here and there.

  10. If the numbers we are hearing are true then it is nothing to worry about. If the Chinese are lying about it and the numbers are greater, then who knows?

  11. Here’s what I see.
I see news reports trying to convince the reader that China is taking this outbreak oh so seriously because they don’t want to be embarrassed like they where during the SARS outbreak. Juxtaposed to that are social media sending the message that this thing is out of control and the chicoms are trying to hide just how bad it is.
Who to believe? The official story being trotted out by the chicoms and faithfully regurgitated by our intellectual betters? Or do I give credence to the information trickling out of China on social media.
I guess the means test is to ask if the chicoms have ever tried to cover up anything before?
That was a rhetorical question by the way.

    1. Personally, my favorite footage out of China thus far is the propaganda drone video showing the Chicoms – um – “feverishly” – building a hospital that’s supposed to be complete in five days or something. There must’ve been 50 track hoes all within 5 feet of each other moving dirt around. Total chaos. I’m sure Michael Bloomberg, Thomas Friedman, or maybe LeBron James will soon be gushing about how well they’re responding to the outbreak.

    2. Joseph, I tuned in to the CTV News channel this morning, to get the latest on the new pandemic. I saw the usual vismin somebody start by quoting official Chinese government statistics (“41 dead”, “1,350 confirmed cases”), who then warned CTV viewers not to believe the internet or Twitter feeds. As if we can believe Chinese government statements that led off the CTV news.

On that note, the vismin news reader then says that the U.S. has 2 confirmed cases, and that Canada doesn’t have any cases. Left unsaid, of course, is that the U.S. has mandatory monitoring at its airports, whereas Canada simply asks for voluntary declaration of symptoms. So Canada is not even monitoring visitors and returnees from China.

  12. The virus will probably spread anyway, but it sure doesn’t help the situation that our greedy left wing indoctrination camps – sorry -“universities” – are so completely addicted to Chinese tuition money. These students will help spread the virus throughout North America like an invading PLA.

    1. First, a few updates.

      Things are moving fast.

The Chinese government has locked down Wuhan, a city of 11 million people, owing to the “threat of the coronavirus.” There are also travel restrictions in several other Chinese cities. What does all this prove?

      Answer: Nothing.

It proves the Chinese government wants to install tighter controls. It doesn’t lead to the conclusion that a coronavirus is making people sick or killing them.

During the so-called Zika Virus crisis of 2015, women in several countries were told not to get pregnant, because the virus might cause brain damage in their babies. That was a form of lockdown, too. If it were instituted for good reason, we would now be seeing massive numbers of babies all over the world born with microcephaly (smaller heads and brain damage), as the virus spreads. We aren’t seeing that. I covered the Zika story extensively, and proved it was a scientific fraud. A dud.

The measures government authorities enact do not constitute proof of a harmful virus. Otherwise, presidents and kings could write science all day long simply by issuing orders.

We are now seeing photos of “people lying in the street” in Wuhan, and perhaps other Chinese cities, so-called victims of the coronavirus. What does this prove?

      Answer: Nothing.

So far, I’ve seen pictures of four or five people lying in the street or on a hospital floor. In a city of 11 million people. If this, all by itself, were proof that a new coronavirus is a killer, then Los Angeles and New York—with their homeless street populations—would have no people left.

The text of a patent for a coronavirus is circulating wide and far on the Web. What does this prove?

      Answer: Nothing.

Patents for many viruses are obtained all the time. More specifically, these patents discuss ways of weakening viruses or extracting material from them for the purposes of developing vaccines. I’ve read excerpts from two different coronavirus patents, one in the US and one in the UK. They both refer to vaccine development. They aren’t, as some people assume, slam-dunk evidence that researchers are cooking up a virus in a lab or weaponizing it.

Well, here is a comforting development. The Chinese researcher, Zhong Nanshan, who “discovered the SARS virus” in 2003, is now at the forefront of pronouncements about the “new coronavirus” that is shaking up China and other parts of the world.

His mere presence on the scene is a warning sign: take a grain of salt, try a pound.

Zhong Nanshan’s 2003 SARS “pandemic” was a dud. A WHO (World Health Organization) advisory against traveling to “infected” Toronto cost merchants in the city several billion dollars. Meanwhile, a Canadian WHO biologist, Frank Plummer, told the press he was shocked by the fact that fewer and fewer SARS patients had the virus in their bodies. Actually, “fewer and fewer,” he said, was approaching ZERO. Hoax. THE PURPORTED CAUSE OF THE DISEASE WASN’T THERE. People had ordinary flu symptoms.

What do you do when this sort of embarrassment occurs? Do you confess the whole business was a mistake or a con or a hustle? Do you own up to the fact that, when people are said to be suffering from ordinary flu symptoms, and you’re calling it a new disease with a new cause, you’re wrong and you’re very, very, very sorry? Do you point out that people who don’t have the cause of a new disease in their bodies don’t have the new disease?

Of course not. You just move ahead and pray no one notices.

When you claim the grand death total from the SARS “epidemic,” worldwide, is 800 out of seven billion, and you can’t even prove those 800 died from the “SARS virus,” do you, the World Health Organization, admit your whole program of epidemic detection is a fraud? Do you pay Toronto several billion dollars for their troubles?

Of course not. You keep calling SARS an epidemic forever. You write fake histories. You do whatever is necessary to maintain your phony reputation.

And when a new possible-maybe-could-be virus surfaces in China, now, you bring the same researcher who “discovered SARS” out of mothballs, and you put him front and center.

Here’s the capper. Read carefully. The World Health Organization claims that, every year, there are between three and five million cases of ordinary run-of-the-mill flu in the world, resulting in 290,000 to 650,000 deaths. The symptoms are indistinguishable from SARS. But for some reason, they don’t declare ordinary flu an ongoing epidemic. No, they choose SARS, for which the cause is absent—and they call THAT an epidemic. It caused 800 deaths, versus 290,000-650,000 deaths.

Does this make any kind of sense? Actually, it does, if they want to: increase control over the population; condition them to expect and pray for a (watch-out TOXIC) vaccine to save them; shoot up pharmaceutical profits; scare the pants off people; induce them to willingly accept greater surveillance wherever they go; step up police and military presence; enact quarantines; hypnotize populations with the idea that they’re lifelong patients under the supervision of the medical cartel; teach “safety and security” above freedom.

Just realize how right and good and true THE AUTHORITIES are, get down on your knees and thank your lucky stars they’re here protecting the health of everyone on the planet. They’re the Church of Biological Mysticism, and they want you as a devoted member.

      Amen.

    2. “These students will help spread the virus throughout North America like an invading PLA.”

Thanks for the lunatic perspective. It shall be noted and discarded.
