Tulsi has done an incredible job, and we will miss her. Her highly respected Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lukas, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.”
No matter how monumental and significant Tulsi’s accomplishments have been or will be in the future … nothing will compare to this part of her statement:
“His strength and love have sustained me through every challenge,” she continued. “I cannot in good conscience ask him to face this fight alone while I continue in this demanding and time-consuming position.”

This type of “resigning” is the same thing that I was asked to do when working at Coles book store as a teenager when I would show up late and have poor work habits.
Many years ago, when Tulsi was still a Democrat, I was asked by someone who knew my political leanings if there were any Democrat I thought would make a good US President. Thinking about it, I proposed Tulsi Gabbard. Her resignation, understandable to be sure, is a loss to the US.
