    This is the problem.
    The people in China have learned that their survival depends on working around the system. Whether it’s outsiders needing extra resources (including internet access), or insiders enriching themselves with monopolistic access.

    As can be seen with the recent handling of African Swine Fever, people will not follow government policy if there is direct economic injury (small scale farmer) or, for a few, opportunity for great economic exploitation.

    If that’s people’s reaction to government regarding monetary assets, then reaction to a life and death virus will certainly be everyone for himself. The government is not trusted and not your friend.

    Once cleared, get on the plane, use your return ticket.
    What evacuation?

    There is no need for evacuation.

  9. I’m just wondering where they are going to find the air crews that are going to volunteer to fly over to China and pick up plane loads of so-called Chinese Canadians, whether they are sick or not, and spend 14 hours in the air with them, coming back to Canada.

    1. White liberal Canadians with trophy Chinese wives are the ones to be brought home. The wives and their brats are being left behind, the excuse being that China considers them Chinese citizens, does not recognize dual citizenship and refuses to let them leave on passports of convenience.

      So while mommy gets to watch grandpa cough up blood and die before her eyes:

  10. Given Australia’s good sense to quarantine evacuees on Christmas Island, I have a suggestion for Canada: Quarantine the Canadian evacuees in Ottawa and/or Quebec City. Just call it tourism.
