It’s Probably Nothing

I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

Also probably nothing:

  1. The theory is this began because people were eating bats and I’ve heard snakes, too. The Global Cooling/Warming/Climate Change/Whatever its called this week people want us to eat crickets etc. for protein. Nah, I’ll stick to beef.

  2. China is a world super power. Yet, Canada still sends China foreign aid money. Or, is that protection?

    1. Just wait until the American media informs Canadians that the coronavirus is more ubiquitous in Hongcouver and Canada than unreported Liberal corruption.

I’m sure that Justupid and his Canadian Media fluffers will be shocked, shocked that once again Canadian governance resembles a Liberal/Liberal Client(cough,SNC, cough) corruption hearing with a lot of oops, didn’t know, can’t recall and sorry, I misremembered.

Great system that Big Business has going here in Norte America.
      Create scam.
      Make $100 Billion.
      Get caught.(Maybe)
      $1 Billion fine.
      Continue to buy politicians.
      Rinse. Repeat.

      As of 2/18:

“According to a tally released Tuesday by New York-based investment banking firm Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, banks have been fined $243 billion since the financial crisis in 2008.

As reported by Marketwatch, repayment of the fines involves a mixture of actual cash payments, which go into federal or state coffers, and credits in the form of loan forgiveness, debt restructuring, and other measures.

Bank of America is by far the hardest hit, having racked up $76.1 billion in fines since the crisis. JPMorgan Chase is second on the list with $43.7 billion in fines. There is a significant dropoff after that, with the third-highest fine load going to Citigroup at $19 billion. From there, the rundown continues with Deutsche Bank ($14 billion), Wells Fargo ($11.8 billion), RBS ($10.1 billion), BNP Paribas ($9.3 billion), Credit Suisse ($9.1 billion), Morgan Stanley ($8.6 billion), Goldman Sachs ($7.7 billion), and UBS ($6.5 billion).”

Meanwhile in Canada, the irksome dominion, the Canadian Media has decided that donations to the local Liberal Party and/or old favorite Quebec companies are a much lower/better use of funds than endless, ineffective fines.
Please run all your donations through your local Liberal fixer/bagpeoplekind.
      Receipts not required.

  3. If this isn’t reason enough to stop most trade with China, I don’t know what will be.

      1. I think it’s adorable that you have opinions, all of which are stupid, but China is not only a communist octopus that strangles its own people, it’s a flaming-hot Horseman of the Apocalypse right now.

You run along and play with your toy trucks and let the big people handle this.

        1. China hasn’t been actually ‘communist’ for decades. Further, restricting trade typically hasn’t gone well for ending bad regimes. It didn’t work on Cuba, it won’t work on China.

          1. The way they treat their own citizens?
            Yep, communist.
Why do people bring up economic styles when talking China? They are a totalitarian communist government.
We like to on purpose confuse economic style with political ideology.

          2. No they’re not communist. Totalitarian yes, not communist. Learn what the big words mean before you use them.

  4. Only in the west is the murder of (say) six million people a tragedy. In China, the murder of 50 million is a statistic.

The release of the Wuhan coronavirus by China’s germ warfare gang is not a real emergency for the Chinese communist Politburo. The Politburo ordered the release. It’s a test of their ability to control their population, and an opportunity to make a show of total control.

(Look at us! We can build a hospital in six days! It takes the imperialists twenty years just to get planning permission!)

The real emergency? Donald Trump, who threatens to throw fascism with Chinese characteristics headfirst with Islam and western liberalism into the cesspit of history, where it belongs.

    1. UK virus researchers estimate 250,000 people in Wuhan China will have coronavirus in 13 days.
I guess doomer Greta Thamburger is wrong,

Wil we all be dead by 2021 ?

    2. “Look at us! We can build a hospital in six days!”

Yeah but your doctors and nurses are dropping like flies. Who you gonna staff yer hospital with?

      1. Me thinks that when you have tens of millions quarantined, you might require more than one quazi field hospital. Oh well…

  5. China? A superpower? How can that be? They’re still receiving massive benefits from the WTO as a … “developing nation”. How can a “developing nation” be a superpower?

  6. When the Soviet nuclear reactor in Chernobyl(1986) released large amounts of radio-active material into the atmosphere. The U.S.S.R. did not immediately warn surrounding nations. Surrounding nations downwind, monitoring atmospheric radiation detected the release, first. Then the testing and dumping of dairy products occurred, even in North America, as the contamination spread on the air currents. For some it was already too late for iodine tablets to prevent the intake of radioactive iodine, the danger immediate, from that short lived isotope.

The Western nations, remember when the term “The Free World” meant something, pointed to the catastrophe, the sheer incompetence for it happening and the perfidy of not warning the world immediately, as evidence of the political evil arising from Communist totalitarianism.

It even woke indoctrinated populations in the U.S.S.R., and contributed to the dissolution of the Soviet Union 4 years, later.

Is this outbreak and release of a (mutated) virus, originating in the area of micro-biological (warfare) research by Communist China, an echo of what happened in the U.S.S.R. ? After the politiburo screwing up the golden egg laying goose of Hong Kong, once the 3rd largest capital investment market in the world. This is a legitimate question. Everyone thought the 1980s U.S.S.R. was too big to fail.

History doesn’t repeat itself exactly, but close enough to rhyme.

    1. the joke at the time. what’s bald and blue eyed? the next 3 generations of Swedes. looking at Greta maybe it was not far of the mark

    2. Of a few things.

      1. Fascism with Chinese characteristics remains immensely profitable to an extent Soviet central planning never was. China does most of the manufacturing of the civilized world. Soviet Russia was never much more than West Germany’s fuel tank.

The Soviet Union collapsed when it ran out of western money. There is no sign at the moment that global finance is ready to pull the plug on China, Inc.

      2. Pripyat’s radiation had the potential to kill indiscriminately—and Pripyat was located far too close to European financial capitals for comfort. The Wuhan coronavirus, as far as is publicly known, generally only kills the old and immunocompromised, and has so far only done so in provincial Chinese towns.

Putting the lives of Swiss bankers at risk was inexcusable. They saw to it that there would be consequences for Mikhail Sergeyevich. Every hack in the world was allowed to report on Chernobyl.

Wuhan? A few dead Chinamen are a statistic. This is Chairman Xi’s opportunity to show the wonders the New World Order will be capable of once it has seen off western civilization. So every hack in the world is reporting about how there is no cause for alarm, and how great a leader Pooh Bear is.

The real fun will begin when people start coughing up blood and dying in American cities. Somehow this will be Trump’s fault, of course. China’s disinformation agents are already hard at work spreading rumours about how the virus is an imperialist germ warfare agent gone rogue.

      1. ” So every hack in the world is reporting about how there is no cause for alarm”

ITT, people who don’t actually read the news.

        1. Why did you have to comeback? It was nice here without you. Can’t you just get cancer and die already subhuman?

      2. Not true that it’s killing only the elderly or immune compromised. AND it’s also not true (as the CDC in the U.S. was assuming) that having a fever is/needs to be one of the characteristics needed to identify if someone has the virus. There’s now a woman in Chicago who has it (reported this morning). She’s the second reported person in the U.S. to have the disease; both had been in China recently. But 63 other people in 22 states are “being monitored.” This will not end well. (It would likely kill somebody like me, with a compromised immune system — Crohn’s disease and COPD — in no time flat if I were exposed.

The Chicago woman, in her 60s (which is NOT “elderly”) came back from China. Appeared fine., so “officials” didn’t think there was risk for the other people on her plane, the NYT reported. It was assumed she hadn’t been exposed. She had no fever and no symptoms. Until BAM. She’s being kept in the hospital in isolation. “She did not take public transportation, attend any large gatherings or have close contact with anyone outside her home after returning, officials said. Members of her household are being monitored.”

  7. …………and Glowbull Warming, Climey Changey is the BIGGEST threat to humanity, right Scoldilocks? How many have died, been killed, evacuated, etc, directly by the greatest threat according to the Klimate Kult?
    Goreacle?
    Suzuki?
    Weaver?
    CRICKETS!

  8. “Globally, air travel pumps out about 3% of overall emissions of climate-destroying carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels. Surging growth of air travel in Asia and around the world means those emissions will triple by 2050, the United Nations says, and recent studies say even that figure underestimates the explosive growth of air travel and its emissions.”

    Given that:

    1. Canada’s share of world emissions is 1.6%
    2. Canada is a very cold country
    3. Who believes the Great Climate Scam more than Big Politics, Big Government, Big Media, Big Hollywood, Big Business?
    4. Who travels more by private jet than #3?
5.Who needs to stop more than #3?
    6. We need leadership by example(not a subsidized Tesla)
    7. Paying indulgences is just a way of saying 21st century for rich me and the 1800’s for poor little you.
    8. Jet travel should only be allowed be allowed for those who really need it, like cold Canadians jetting to Florida, and should be income tested so that it is reserved for the working class only. Tough times require tough leadership by example.
    9. Stop flying and save a freezing Canadian.

  9. Why is ANY country allowing people who have been to China entry into their country. All flights, originating or picking up passengers in China, should be banned from any airport in Canada. Any passenger that passed through China should be held in isolation until it is determined they are clear. We have learning NOTHING from SARS.

Anyone thinking that the Chinese government is even telling half truths need their heads examined.

And Africa is hooped given the number of ‘projects’ that the Chinese have been running and financing in Africa using Chinese workers – Africa already has enough problem viruses and no real medical care, that if this gets a hold in Africa, the whole continent will be seeing massive deaths.

    1. The problem simply doesn’t merit that draconian of an approach yet.

Further, it’s not yet an international crisis regardless of China’s WHO influence. It’s not spreading too much outside of China’s borders. I have to wonder if China’s air pollution is making its people more infection-prone.

        1. By this asinine logic we’d never fly because flu.

In the globalized world that we live in and will always live in, we’ll likely just have to accept that you’re never going to ‘pen in’ a pathogen. You can slow it and prevent ‘super-spreading’ but ultimately this requires a vaccine or other systemic answer.

      1. Why don’t you go to China and check? If you get a virus in the polluted city? You’re right. If not? Try harder subhuman.

          1. Yes, Unme, it has nothing to do with pollution.
It does however answer your query as to how these Chinese keep coming up with more and new viral infections.
It has to do with the Chinese eating unsuitable food, raw still squirming meat, filthy species known for being rabies carriers such as bats, etc.
The answer is NO it ain’t the air, it’s Chinese eating habits.

          2. Oh okay. Yeah, the Chinese do like it fresh and that might be a problem when it all comes from the wild. But we also eat stuff from the wild albeit not as much.

The Chinese should farm these things so that they grow in a controlled environment. Oh and your link does not disprove my contention that air pollution could be increasing host susceptibility to the infection.

        1. Hay unOoz, another irrelevant linky, just like when discussing ‘plastic recycling’ You proving yerself even stupider than unDork, and that is one hell of an accomplishment !

          1. Yes, Garbage Man I sure made you look like a putz on plastic recycling. You were exploited like a little bitch for 12 years picking up other people’s garbage and never knew you were being grossly underpaid or that the plastic was being sent to China to be sorted. You’re just a silly garbage picking Tool.

    2. Beijing is now making a big show of denying exit visas to Chinese tourists, knowing full well it’s already too late and there’s a Patient Zero in every country with a significant Chinese population by now.

All Pooh Bear has to do now is give the order to his spooks to spread conspiracy theories blaming the Americans and assets in the western media to blame Trump, sit back with a huge bottle of baijiu and gourmet pork buns and watch the imperialists turn on each other.

  10. Not just a few Chinese provincial towns… all provinces within China now have confirmed infections.

    https://www.scmp.com/news/china/society/article/3047499/china-coronavirus-spreads-all-two-34-provinces?

http://www.asianbrides.com is reported to be planning a 50% off sale shortly. (ok, just made that one up).

New cases in Victoria, Australia and Malaysia today, Ages 35, 43, 53…

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/novel-coronavirus-live-updates-confirmed-cases-in-10-countries_3215641.html

  11. Travel is being banned or restricted in China. This includes air travel. Meanwhile Blackie allows flights from China and is giving his best Leslie Neilson imitation. Nothing to see here folks, move along. We have gay issues to worry about.

  12. recap the main issues with viral infection:
-incubation period (psst, hey viry, stay low till you gain strength! ok virah!)
-transmissibility (hey look viry!!! he coughed !!! let’s explore!!!)
-virility (hey viry, did you bring your nukes with ya? yes virah!!!)

in my opinion the worst of the 3 is the incubation period.
also in my opinion, this is just a dry run for
    THE
    BIG
    ONE.

  13. Blackie’s media is reporting the first confirmed case in diverse Toronto. I hope this doesn’t effect the Pride Parade.

  14. We live in a world where one group of “researchers” goes around exhuming the corpses of people who died from exotic illnesses, and have another group of scientific “researchers” who believe the cure for climate change is depopulating the world. Mix that in with a government that permits our enemies to study in our schools, and work unsupervised in our research facilities. What possibly could go wrong?
