  1. I did something like that at the place where I used to teach. I can’t remember what the survey was for, but I’m sure that the people conducting it probably thought that I was something like an elderly lesbian sumo wrestler from Coleslawvania.

    After I quit, the institution started publishing a handbook for potential clients as to the capabilities or expertise of the teaching staff. Apparently there were experts on schmoozing and witchcraft working there.

  3. I watched the entire debate,Trudeau was magnificent and statesman like, a combination of Churchill and Stalin. Bernier was great as well,the other three, not so much.

  5. Scheer did well last night. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy. Way, way more charisma than Harper and I think that’s important to woo former Trudeau voters. I figure the liberals know this so they’re keeping it to one English debate. Problem is it might backfire because more people will watch that one debate.

    This election so far is a snore fest. The reporters are getting bored and no one is tuned in. I’d hate to be a cpc war room strategist right now… Do you hold back the Trudeau bombs or do you set them off now?

          2. I found that over the last two decades the Bond films have become too pc. I liked the earlier films though.

  10. Stupidest question: “Why Do You Plan to Vote?”….Ummm because of the nearly 2 million Canadians who enlisted and the over 100,000 Canadians that died protecting that right in two World Wars. To not exercise that right would be an insult to their memory.

  11. Well,that was fun! It’ so exciting to know we get a chance to cast a vote for our very own old or new dictator! I am disgusted by Robert Fife but his revealing that Trudeau will forever be protected from obstruction investigators by cabinet confidentiality rules has raised him a notch. We need a new country and the political structure should not be based on present rules.

    1. Unless someone breaks cabinet confidentiality, of course. The penalties for lawyers is risking disbarment but other than that the actual consequences for MPs probably aren’t that bad. We know Canadian politicians get no more than a slap on the wrist when they break the laws.

      Besides if you witness your colleagues breaking the law, as an elected official – a keeper of the public trust, you should feel obligated to be a whistleblower. Corruption is corrosive. Once it becomes normalized at the top level, corruption spreads to the whole society. Laws become merely guidelines that can be worked around through deceit, bribes and connections. If Trudeau and SNC can manipulate the laws and legal system for personal gain or to block inconvenient investigations, then why shouldn’t it be ok for everyone else?

  16. I wasted my time going through that survey only to close the window when they required my e-mail address. Bullshit! They DO NOT need to collect email addresses to keep people from vote-bombing their survey.

    1. I have a couple of email addresses that I use – my real one for when I want to actually get email that I will look at and need, one for signing up for things that I want (but don’t want to clutter up my real email) and a third email for things like this survey

        1. And I made one up – something like “noneofyourmuckingbusiness@wherever.com” and the survey took it.

      1. I also used the postal code for Dildo, Newfoundland and it was accepted! I used the email “truedoughadmiresdictatorship@fascist.com” and the survey took it.

        Because, laughable mischief is important!

    Question 38 says: “If FEDERAL Elections were held today, for which political party would you be most likely to vote? Would it be for…?”, and then goes on to list the names of … the party leaders, not the parties.

    Which validates my long-standing complaint. The parties and all MPs (or MLAs) are utterly irrelevant – everything revolves around The Leader and only The Leader. All decisions come from Der Fuhrer and only Der Fuhrer. And all power flows from The Chairman and only the Chairman. Parliament and all those pesky elected members are only for show. The very definition of fascism.

    1. Wrong. The Leader is allowed to confiscate more of your savings, deny you employment, and otherwise all but call for genocide against you because of your faith, sex, skin color and sexual orientation. On anything else, the courts run the country. Give your head a shake.
