Arctic tours ship MS MALMO with 16 passengers on board got stuck in ice on Sep 3 off Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, halfway between Norway and North Pole. The ship is on Arctic tour with Climate Change documentary film team, and tourists, concerned with Climate Change and melting Arctic ice. All 16 Climate Change warriors were evacuated by helicopter in challenging conditions, all are safe. 7 crew remains on board, waiting for Coast Guard ship assistance.
 
Something is very wrong with Arctic ice, instead of melting as ordered by UN/IPCC, it captured the ship with Climate Change Warriors.

    1. This also happened some years back.. I thought at the time this would be the end of these foolish voyages, but again, Ya can’t fix stupid.. I hope they got their money back.. On second thought, they deserve to lose it.

    Let me translate: We all got the WRONG answer. But because we ALL got the WRONG answer, over and over and over … we declare our WRONG answers to be “RIGHT”. aka … repeat the LIE often-enough, and it becomes the “truth”.

  6. And not for the first time! Or the second time. Remember the Ship of Fools expedition to Antarctica? Even the first ice breaker sent to rescue it got stuck in the freezing ice itself. And I suppose the “coast guard ship” is also an icebreaker sent to rescue the ship and crew. So the only effect these joy rides have ultimately in the real world is breaking up the ice formation, an event they would bleat about if they found it happening naturally.

    The “related” link talks about how Mann et al. “admitted” their models are wrong. Well gosh they don’t have to admit it, anyone with eyes can see they don’t agree with the data, and never have, as faulty and fake as the data are. Wattsupwithit talks about the siting of sensing devices (used to be called just thermometers) on airport tarmacs, and directly in the effluence of air conditioners. And interpolations are done across thousands of miles of ocean in the Southern Hemisphere, with one data point each in South America and Africa, and then all the way to Australia. The error bars of such “measurements” should be at least dozens of degrees and render any supposed “measured” rise of a fraction of a degree absolutely meaningless. If they were real scientists, they would have included error bars with the “measurements”. Of course, if they were real scientists they would not have been involved in the scam in the first place.

    They are no more real scientists than the Wizard of Oz, who at least had an escape hot air balloon. Well, either they are not real scientists, or they are whores. The globalists pay them to come up with compliant data, and the globalists in turn use the data to control energy. He who controls energy controls industrial production. At least that’s how it started, but their Marxists roots won’t let them end there. They now want to control every single aspect of your life in the name of conservation … what you eat (no red meat or meat period), how you go to work (no ICE cars, or better just public transportation), how you live (some cities are already forbidding natural gas for new buildings), what you wear (no fur, they haven’t figured out no synthetics yet, but they will). This is while they all fly in private jets to interminable emergency global meetings in the most exclusive resorts.

    1. Soon … my use of incandescent PAR light bulbs in my recessed lights (I appreciate the light “temperature”/color and narrow focused beam of light) … will be deemed a “criminal” act punishable by hefty fines and jail time (at an eco-re-education Camp).

      Thankfully, MY President just rolled-back those RULES … which were headed toward Criminal LAW.

Svalbard, that place where you can be eaten by polar bears in the main town and are encouraged to be appropriately armed and aim for the heart for a proper kill…Check out the tourism safety information. So Kate, assume that headline warning for the polar bears? vegans with cell phones and synthetics are probably just as bad as lead.

      1. A shining example of Dr. Darwin’s theory in action. Only to be thwarted by the rescue vessels that came to snatch the morons from Mother Nature’s bosom. I would hope this lesson would be learned by more than the participants of this particular voyage. But I appear to suffer from a condition known as “HIGH HOPES”.

    1. Fossil fuel is foul, especially for the Arctic
      If the U.N. cannot police everywhere, the least it can do is police the Arctic and Antarctica. That is where mother earth is most vulnerable. If they overheat and the glaciers melt, then mother earth will die.
      There should be an U.N. accord that forbids the use of fossil fuel powered rescue vessels and helicopters in the Arctic. Tour ships, doing joy ride at the risk of killing mother earth, should be heavily fined if caught.

  13. It takes a real genius to sail a bunch of nitwits to Antarctica at the ass-end of Winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
    Whatever ice shelf they got stuck in was at maximum this time of the year.

  15. I couldn’t find news of anyone making it through the Northwest Passage yet this year. Apparently only 2 made it through last year Every September Canada should park its icebreakers in the St. Lawrence and tell people to arrange their own private rescue. Almost none of the ships are ever Canadian.

    1. Heh. Twice in the last two years, a buncha’ global-warming eco-warriors from University of Manitoba have been scheduled to ride a Canadian icebreaker into the high Arctic to study pack ice loss. Both times, their trip was cancelled at the last minute because the icebreaker was urgently needed elsewhere, to break some nonexistent ice I guess.

      So sad, so terribly sad. But at least (so far) UofM has been smart enough to schedule their “See? We TOLD you there was no ice left!” trips on an icebreaker, not some poor research vessel that stood no chance of getting up there in the first place, and an excellent chance of getting stranded.

      You’d think the other global-warming eco-warriors would learn, but that’s too much to hope for. As H.L. Mencken put it: “A man full of faith is simply one who has lost (or never had) the capacity for clear and realistic thought. He is not a mere ass; he is actually ill. Worse, he is incurable”. And we all know ( – they tell us often enough – ) that the good ol’ catastrophic global warming WILL be here, any day now, so keep the faith!

      And here this morning, the 9th of September, it was 4 degrees outside…
