Meh.. there’s plenty of time and space for performative theater and ‘orange participation ribbons’ once they all get back to the states. I am thankful that all of that contrived bullshit was left by the wayside when the stakes are this real and price of failure is costly. These people weren’t campaigning to impress donors, nor trying to butter up some CEO from some shady, vaguely socialist NGO.. and they sure as hell weren’t hawking another shitty ‘woke’ movie script in hollywood.. they were setting the tone and establishing the balance of power (for the west) in the world for the next 2-3 decades.. The rest of my life, and beyond.. This was the ‘pro-bowl’, and I wanted only qualified players on the field.. I couldn’t care less about their gender, race, or sexual orientation, I care about them defending the home field and bringing home the gold.
